A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

So they're Jewish ambulances, for Jewish people and they pay lip service to cover this up.
I can't find the article on it because it was well over a decade ago and has been buried in google searches but I remember a controversy in NYC where the Hatzalah (jew ambulances run by Hasids) ran over some kid and left him to die in the street because they had a jew in the back of the ambulance. From what I remember they didn't bother to call in another ambulance or notify anyone about it since why would they prioritize a goyim over one of God's chosen in the back, was a huge controversy at the time since they essentially committed a hit-and-run and placed the life of a yid over a little kid they just mangled under their truck.

Brooklyn’s Private Jewish Patrols Wield Power. Some Call Them Bullies.
Interesting read as well to get some insight into the kind of balkanization that occurs when you give these religious sects any modicum of oversight over a community they've wormed their way into becoming entrenched in. Look forward to similar posses cropping up around the UK when the clashes between jews and muslims start reaching a crescendo.

The Midlands seems to be the only fucking place you can get a Chelsea bun or a lardi cake. To add agree the Midlands, specifically the Shire areas, seem to have really good bakeries. Huffkins in Cheltenham is in a tier of its own. It does make me sad that they are trying to pump jeets and wogs.

It's starting to warm up, you know what that means.

The world cup starts in June, I wonder if we are going to get any muzzies claiming to be scared of the 'It's Coming Home' revelers with english flags tied around themselves and facepaint. Drinking is haram as well, perhaps the government better hurry up and close down all the pubs lest they offend their precious voter base

Anyone up for a Green Party party?:story:

It's an indoor rave venue in Gay Mecca, aka exactly the sort of place you think it is (18+ for very good reason), I know the muzzies will put up with a lot for the sake of the old taqiyya but this has to be really pushing it.

Stephen McCullough has been found guilty. He ruined his life because he had to murder his slag gf because she was texting other blokes. Lads, if a woman is a slag, don't kill her, you'll end up being bummed or being murdered like Huntley.

If you find out your wife is cheating on you and you murder her for it I'm not going to consider her a victim. That's called consequences of your actions and I don't blame a man for losing control in that situation. Our society doesn't punish cheating at all, if anything it actively encourages it. It's one of the worst things you can do to a person and if it causes them to snap, maybe you shouldn't have cheated on them in the first place. Adultery is a sin for a reason. Do not fuck someone over by cheating on them and expect it to go well for you if they find out.

Clearly the fault of the ambulance. The ambulance should have worn a hijab if it didn't want this to happen.
Maybe controversial but Rule Britannia I kinda don't like it. It's too high pitched and orchestral and the flow is weird. It just sounds like that one song they used for a recent Bond film that no one liked. Compare that to something like God save the Queen or even just Scotland the Brave, way better. Like there's something good there but it just doesn't hit properly.

Murder is wrong, killing isn't always murder hence the existence of things like manslaughter/diminished responsibly, adultery is a sin for good reason and ought to be a criminal matter too, but men who murder their wives over infidelity? That's what gallows are for, shame on you.

It's literally just so easy to NOT cheat and to leave your girlfriend/boyfriend. I don't think that if you have some time to actually process it, you can get away with it. But if you walked in on your girlfriend with another man, I'd not convict you for murder.

Indeed it is and people who cheat are animals, and people who can't control their base impulses are a worse kind of animal, I know it's popular among us men to act as if we just can't help ourselves sometimes... But it's bullshit, I've been in plenty of red mist scenarios myself, it's always a choice, it's murder simple as.

You're a faggot and probably a cheater.

It's not about being angry. It's a fitting punishment for a crime. Cheating is wrong on every level. There is never an excuse for it, you never had to cheat. If you end up getting killed for it then there's one less scum bag in the world and that's a good thing.

I'm the most heterosexual AND fidelious man alive acktuelley, and if I had to guess I'd say you've probably got some personal hangup over the topic :smug:
It's not about punishment, it's about revenge, and vengeance whilst a nice idea doesn't actually do anything for you, it is at best empty, this may sounds hollow to those who have not experienced it but it's the truth.
It's going to eventually end up just being a horse drawn coal carriage at this rate.
m8 at this point I'd be happy with a goddamn tram line but we're not even gonna get THAT.

It removes a scum bag from the world and teaches a lesson to others about the cost of cheating. Which is exactly what we need in our country. Remove the scum, everyone else will want to avoid the same fate and the behaviour disappears.

It's called being white. It's how we've always dealt with problems like this.
