A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Posting the link to the consultation for Digital ID. Do your civic duty guys.
I don't know if it'll make any difference, but I spent the whole thing hammering the two ideas that no digital system is 100% secure, and no amount of security can prevent hostile acts by authorised users. Also mentioned the Indian ID farce, which should have put the fear of god into everyone involved in this (who am I kidding, it's all likely written by the same indians).

They tried to justify this by claiming digital ID will stop minors from accessing social media.
Absolute fucking lunacy.
That's the path I think they're going to take. They've basically abandoned the idea that it could be used to stop immigration because nobody believed them, so they're going to switch to claiming it will be used as part of an australia-style social media ban for teenagers. The depressing thing is, it might actually work just long enough for them to push it through. Might. There's still a profound distrust of any sort of ID scheme in the country.

In the game of British politics the conservatives set up the pins, Labour knock them down and then the conservatives go "Look they knocked over the pins!" and set up the next round. It doesn't matter what polls you fill in, what you complain about or who you do it too. Unless you can afford lawyers to legally challenge it Labour will force it through and even then it may get forced through and take 5 years to repel. Once all your data has been leaked to China and sold on the black market.

From Pink news.

Nigel Farage’s far-right Reform UK is the most supported party amongst gay and bisexual men in the UK, a new poll has found.

The populist political party was founded in 2018 as the Brexit Party and has since rebranded and made a name for itself over its controversial anti-immigration and eurosceptic policies.

As well as opposition to mass migration, the party bills itself as ‘anti-woke’ and has several anti-LGBTQ+ – and notably anti-trans – policies, including a recent pledge to repeal the 2010 Equality Act.

In recent months, a number of Conservative MPs have moved over to Reform, including Suella Braverman and Robert Jenrick.

The new voting intention poll carried out by More in Common, a research agency tackling polarisation and division across various countries, found Reform is the most popular party for both gay and bisexual and straight men.

The data found 25 per cent of gay and bisexual men would vote for Reform, with 33 per cent of straight men also pledging support to Farage’s party.

Any comment Welshie? Are you gobbling the cock and chocolate box for Reform too?

So, in the news of optimism, I saw a few posts from Conservative MPs, saying Labour MPs are publicly discussing with them a Vote of no confidence on Starmer. I will believe it when, but seeing how he is hellbent on placating backbenchers, there is truth. He is done in May, though. I don't think Reform is going to do well, though. I think the Conservatives are going to get better results.

I disagree with her heritage, but I prefer Kemi to Farage. Farage is a snake.

I'm sat in the Costco car park and all I see are swarthoids filling their boots with pallets and pallets of bottled water. Did no one tell them that the tap water is potable in this country? Why are they all buying so much bottled water?

Either they know something we don't, or they're too culturally bound (i.e. retarded) to understand the idea of tap water being clean.

It's what they've always done back where they come from because their water is dogshit quality, so they do the same here too as they just dump their rubbish anywhere anyway.

Direction of travel with supply and demand. The water system is failing down South. Only a matter of time. They can't stop more people coming into the country and they can't make it rain more.
I have 200 litres of bottled water, two water butts, and this bad boy......

Flash metalic water filter

Even the ones in america that descended from the ones on first ships do the same shit. The only thing that the brown people in this country know that white people don't is how the inside of your sister's vagina feels in both meanings.

If I was forced to flee some middle eastern shithole and came here the first thing I would do is make use of the water supply. Maybe they're just stocking up, they might be vape shop owners getting ready to put out the next fire when it inevitably happens.
