A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I assume this include student flats and HMO buildings - usually high value properties or properties in high value areas, because the wording in all rental contracts states that rises in rent will occur if council tax is increased.

Thats very interesting I did not think of that nor can I find any information on if bands differ for homes vs apartments, it seems to just be flat A-H for everyone and I assume G-H are being targeted with this plan (Students dont pay council tax so i don't know if student digs are necessarily council taxed?). All articles just talk about 'taxing expensive homes' so it seems sort of... flimsy. One could almost call it a last ditch attempt to look like she's going to fix the budget : )

I'm no lawyer, but I believe a HMO (Home of multiple occupancy) is just that, a home of multiple occupancy in the eyes of tenant laws. London has many of these set ups where professionals live together to cut the costs of living in London. If the council tax is increased by 20%, that allows the Landlord to directly raise the monthly cost of rent, immediately, without warning, prior notice or blow back.

The interesting part is whether or not those landlords will be legally obliged to disclose who much their increase is, otherwise they will say it's a 20% increase will charging 50% to the occupants. You have to pay when the alternative is homelessness.

Of course, the writing is on the wall for whitey renting. The government want you homeless so that they can fill those homes with migrants, as has happened already.

Shit is not looking good.

Two people have been arrested after "multiple people" were stabbed on a train.

British Transport Police are currently responding to the incident on an LNER train to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Armed officers attended the scene and two men were arrested following 999 calls at 19.39 GMT.

More than 30 officers were sent to the scene. No details about how many people have...

Not sure what the context is, it's cut off in all of them. But apparently the muslims confronted the trannies and shit went from there. They even fight like males.
Guy that throws the first punch seems to have one of those tiktok street interview faggot mics, might be the reason this started. Audio is fucked and hard to hear but it sounds like the video starts off with 'leave the camera out my face' then the guy doesn't and gets water thrown on him.

Fucking nasty curb stomp in platform shoes to starts the video off.
Seemingly the sound of smashing glass about 10 seconds after too.
A minute in the trannies go to walk away, the man follows them then one turns around and gets a pretty solid punch in to the guy's head, holds him still while the other tranny kicks him in the face. Then another person fucking walks up and punches the second tranny in the head so hard he drops.
That guy then goes to fight the other tranny.
Tranny is separated from the second guy and fucking seven people (including one maybe two white guys) briefly gang up on him. Tranny separates and is seen with a bloody nasal bridge, not a nosebleed but potentially a broken nose.
Fight is broken up, trannies look confused and scared as a big brown crowd has formed around them. They kinda wander in circles before the first guy sneaks back in and gets a fucking nasty looking punch in the main tranny's head. Camera shows the first guy, doesn't seem to be bleeding from anywhere. Then a random fucking arab child gets in the camera to vape. They then go back into the fucking crowd, cannot make out why it's either a dropped phone or a dropped bra?
Around the 2:30 to 3 minute mark there's an influx of people that would be friends with trannies. Some guy in a fucking bandolier and camo tank top and some 4ft girl with twilight sparkle hair.
Three minutes in a random paki who I don't think was involved before comes in with a crutch and starts swinging it, clips the main tranny's hand. Tranny goes towards him, he backs off like a fucking pussy, crowd starts to reform and another guy starts fighting the tranny, paki gets his balls back now he isn't directly being threatened and starts to swing the crutch at the tranny. Whacks him good in the head, tranny falls to the ground, not sure if because of the hit to the head or the guy pulling on him. Yet another person randomly comes up and punches the tranny in the back of the head. Both trannies start to walk away again. Paki runs up behind them and kicks the one that has hardly done any fighting at all.
Police show up cherries and berries down the pavement after four minutes.

Ends with both the trannies as well as the person that threw the first punch in some fast food place. They are not fighting and seem relatively calm though still arguing.
The other video is shorter and from a different perspective.

And the vast majority of people that threw punches seem to not be English.
