https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679 (https://archive.ph/5Ba6o)

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

If that is true then lol. I don't care what happens to collaborators.
Sigh, don't make me tap the sign;
Or maybe she worked there for years before it got turned into a migrant hotel, maybe the worst she’d had to deal with before that was a few tipsy businessmen. Maybe it’s a low income area and there aren’t many jobs, and she knew that if she quit she’d not easily get another one.
Lacking empathy is for the browns.

Urge to bring back Swan Hunter and shipbuilding on the Clyde increases.
Christ no. We have enough swan hunters already, we're trying to reduce the number of indians not increase it.
Does the way the person is killed change the meaning behind it? Would you make it a public event and a day out with the kids (especially asking those with bairns) or make it a bit more clinical like the lethal injection states?
Lethal injection is a charade. It is without repeating myself too much. It is pushed as this futuristic 'flick of a switch' type clean and instant death. It is not. Often it simply doesn't work and leaves the person in extreme agony because the chemicals were mixed wrong. They for some reason try to get the 'correct' amount instead of just a megadose, no idea why. The lethal injection is less humane than hanging. The only reason it is used is because we want to look kind and humane and if you ignore the vomiting and incontinence and all that sort of shit it is 'clean'. Like the electric chair. They prioritise 'clean' over humane. The simple reality is a single bullet to the head is more humane than either the electric chair or injection. The problem is that you cannot have a clean execution by firing squad. Even in the British style of 10 men aiming for the chest it will still create a big mess. And for some reason they hate that and don't want to look like barbaric people stuck in the past. Let's put it this way. There's a reason in your head you associated hanging with a public event but not for the lethal injection. Because they do not want you to see how it (doesn't) actually works. Lethal injection and kinda on the same theme medical suicide are things that sound good until you see the reality of it.

Anyway it seems like the citywest shit has calmed down. There's another article by rte that's full of bullshit right out the gate.
Here's a fucking archive so the cunts don't change shit after an hour again. https://archive.ph/Tamo1.

Right out the gate we get a
The hotel, in Saggart Co Dublin, was recently purchased by the State to be used to accommodate Ukrainian migrants and asylum seekers.
Yea. You know. Ukrainian migrants and asylum seekers. For one, they're ukrainian refugees. But it's one of those sneaky English things, forget the word. But they are not (ukranian)(migrants and asylum seekers) they are (ukranian migrants) and (asylum seekers). This isn't some ukranian shelter, it is an immigration centre which includes generic asylum seekers. Hence why a fucking african was in there.

They do give a better timeline than I have though.
Reports of an assault come out on the monday morning. Peaceful protest monday night. Then someone reveals it's a fucking brown rapist later that night. You can guess how that goes.
Then they say this
Shortly after 8pm, a post from Paul Nolan, who was jailed last month for online posts which risked identifying asylum seekers, appeared on X calling for Citywest "to be stormed, and every last migrant deported."
His post has since been removed for violating the platform guidelines, but it illustrates how online rhetoric was becoming increasingly extreme as Monday evening wore on.
Jailed for risking identifying asylum seekers? It's a crime to say this guy is foreign? Interesting. Wonder why that might be. Also yea the guy is fucking retarded lol.

As the evening wore on, the incident began to attract international attention. One post on X, published at 10.16pm by a prominent anti-immigration influencer based in the south of the country, was viewed more than 12 million times.
What an interesting thing to say. Yea it got loads of international attention, here's the analytics of someone who isn't international? They do say that the post was retweeted by elon but like why not just start with that?

Here's what they say about the rape itself.
A statement from Tusla confirmed the alleged victim had been in state care since February, after her family voluntarily placed her there. It said she had "absconded" while on a recreational trip with staff to Dublin city centre.
Staff then reported her missing to Gardaí. She later returned to a relative’s home but left again that evening.
She subsequently told staff she had been involved in a serious incident, after which her location was established and Gardaí were contacted.
Personally it's a bit lacking. They'll give you analytics of the random twitter posts but nah they don't even mention the attack itself. I get that maybe part of that is because it's legal shit but still.

Speaking to reporters a short time later, Tánaiste Simon Harris called the alleged assault of a 10-year-old girl "horrifying" and appealed for calm following the incident.
Another fucking strange thing to say. 'hey this is genuinely fucking vile but you should remain calm'? No. A vulnerable child was let slip by those who are paid to ensure she doesn't. As a result a foreigner with no right to be in the country decided to rape her. You should not remain calm. You should be fucking pissed off. If you can hear those things can remain calm then you are just a fucking disgusting person.

Several voices could be heard shouting at the gardaí. At various points they were called ‘Traitor bastards,’ or accused of protecting paedophiles, or rapists.
I mean. They say this as if it's some wacky thing I should disagree with. That this is some radical whatever. But like this is literally just what they are doing. They were quite literally protecting a paedophilic rapist. And idk about you guys but personally protecting people who are actively invading your country to rape your women and economy sounds pretty treasonous to me.

This is a fucking dumb thing to say on livestream
Ideas were spreading through the gathered crowd by that point. A livestreamer could be heard saying "I don’t know what the plan is but hopefully we go through the barrier."
But I mean they could have. Especially the tuesday protest. They could easily have overwhelmed the guards and pushed past. There would have been quite literally nothing they could have done. There were at most 20 people protecting the entrance. There were 2000 people protesting.

Protest started at 6pm. Van caught fire 90 minutes later.
In footage posted online, children can be seen smashing the headlights with hammers, a woman tells the boy "cover your face."
Based mother.
But yea apparently only one van was burnt. I guess I must have just misread dates or some shit.

By 9pm, another line of the POU officers had arrived, along with a water cannon.
There was three hours where the guards were overwhelmed and outnumbered with basically no way to control a large crowd. If these people actually tried to then the hotel would be smouldering rubble right now.

This is a fucking dumb thing to say in an article
BB Audits was not the only figure from outside Ireland to come to produce content of the protest. Ezra Levant, a content creator for the Canadian far-right media website Rebel News with more than 500k followers on X, travelled to Dublin specifically for the protest along with a camera operator.
He said he was pepper-sprayed and set upon from behind while covering the event. In a video posted to Rebel News after the protest he said: "There’s terrible things going on here in Ireland, being done to the people, but there’s also some hopefulness of people fighting back."
Like some of the other livestreamers who attended, Mr Levant encourages viewers to donate to fund his work.
You retards did the same fucking thing? You had journos there too. Why are other news outlets not allowed to do the same? And why are you pointing out that someone asks for funding?

They say that they built barriers and shit on the wednesday afternoon. But they knew the protest was going to happen on tuesday too? Why didn't they do anything on tuesday? It's almost as if they were incredibly unprepared and inept. They could have easily let everything go to shit.

As for the actual protests on wednesday
When the protests eventually got underway, the number of people in attendance appeared to be significantly lower than on Tuesday evening, estimated at around 200.
And yet shit still kicked off.
But there were still reports of unrest, with missiles and fireworks thrown at gardaí. A total of 24 people, including five juveniles, were arrested.

And then thursday
Around 100 people gathered for a demonstration at the entrance to the complex again on Thursday evening. It ended peacefully after an organiser called for protesters to disperse at around 9.30pm.

Article was written fuck knows when because transparency in journalism is a fucking joke. But it was updated a few hours ago. So assumedly nothing happened last night.

Looking at rte in general they have another article that essentially says 'oh yea we are going to hunt you down and find you totally' type scaremongering. But they say this
The two men, a teenage boy and a man in his 40s, are being held at garda stations in the Dublin region.
Two men, one of which is a boy?

Nothing on the other vandalism of the ipas place in Dublin itself though.

The only other thing of note is that between two stories about citywest there's a guy getting arrested for having a 3d printed gun and a shit load of drugs. Just, you know, interesting placement.
Though to call this thing a 'gun'
1761414926577.png

Is being generous. That looks like it'd be functionally closer to a pipebomb than a gun.

For anyone interested zopiclone is an anti insomnia drug, so a sedative. Bit like ket kinda, bit like benzos and barbiturates apparently.

Now why did I know it meant Hebden before it even said Bridge?
The reason it's such a gaytropolis is because all the crusty hippies moved in back when uninsurable terraces that flood every year were cheap (because Sylvia Plath because they're all fucking poseurs), now it's completely and utterly unaffordable for everyone aside from the sickest of city "people" thanks to the property bubble (and just as uninsurable lol), but the crusties stuck around and got rich thanks to this and ontop of that achieved demographic dominance.
I highly recommend driving through if you're anywhere nearby; it's like a little bit of LANDAN transplanted into the norf, a real little carcinogenic pustule.

Inside you there are two wolves. One of them wants to go to the dick tavern. The other to lesbianville. Finally some proper bisexual representation in the news.
Haha, however I am too ugly to be gay.

If I ever do a comedy tour, that's what it's going to be called.

Well, if Royston Vasey can call his 'Too Fat To Be Gay' then I can amend the title.

Rumour there is an asylum seeker hotel on the road that Adedapo Adegbola (the murderer) is addressed at. My money is on her working/volunteering or something there, which is how they 'knew each other' (according to Police) and this is an exact repeat of the Walsall hotel worker killing. Very little info atm.
I don’t think so. There is someone of that name on LinkedIn said to be (or have been) a Biomedical science graduate student at Nottingham Trent, same university that she studied at.

any info on year of study/graduation? The murderer was 40, granted he could be a mature student. She was training to be a clinical psychologist, maybe could overlap with Biomed science? However if he was a uni fellow (such as her professor or something) I feel like that would have been mentioned to squash any migrant rumours.

Sorry, no. I don’t have a LinkedIn account so could only grab that preview after Googling his name. Someone with an account might have more luck unless his profile has been taken down now.

Windrush victims to get 75% compensation upfront in scheme shake-up
WIndrush victims? Victims? Voluntarily migrating to another country and then having a hard time finding work during an economic downturn makes you a victim now?

I'd definitely support the death penalty for crimes such as murder, rape, kiddydiddling.
While I don't think it should be an Out in the open in the middle of the town square event, I think it should be well known that it happens, and people over the age of 18 can attend to watch if they wish.

I wouldn't like my children to attend, however I would want it common knowledge to everyone, (in an age appropriate way) that if you do Very Bad Things, then there will be consequences.

On the subject of Wrong Un's, I can't help but wonder what happened to the picture Ian Watkins was drawing when he was deleted in his cell. I'd imagine someone will eventually get hold of it and is making plans to flog it on.

He definitely DIDN'T catch tomorrow, that's for sure.

To be fair to them these are the ones who the government never bothered to keep records on to confirm they had a legal right to be there.

So essentially they were invited into the country to work, in many cases did so then decades later were told, "the fuck are you doing here? Get out!"

Whether or not they should have been here in the first place the original and successive governments being incompetent is not their fault. The only issue I have is the public are paying for it rather than the money being ripped from the pensions of the now retired civil servants.

Reform UK should say that they will give £1000 to each person in the UK, as either compensation for Windrush or the way they were shoddily treated during Covid, if elected as the next Government.

Seriously, this wouldn't bother me, can always cancel debts/green taxes/the BBC whatever.

Make it a one off non-taxable gift - Lenny Henry would be spinning on the floor weeping.

I used to be pro death penalty when I was younger, and maybe i've gotten soft in my old age because I don't agree that any man has the right to end another mans life.

From a moral perspective, the state can't outlaw murder while sanctioning murder.
Giving that power to any government never ends well, as it just turns into state justified genocide.

From a religious perspective, who are you or I to play God? Some religions may try and justify it, poorly, and end up tripping over themselves.

The only way, in my opinion, to sort out the murderers and have deterants is to let mother nature sort it out; airdrop those sentenced to death back into the jungle. Afterall, they have broken the rule of man, not nature. Exile them away from the society of man back in to the domain of nature and allow darwinism to take its course.

That sounds like bribing voters too much. Obviously they all do that to some extent. 'i will fix the nhs' is using healthcare as a bribe and all but directly saying 'vote for me and I'll give you a grand' sounds dodgy.

I get what you're saying. But this is the same. Dropping someone in a jungle is still causing their death. Just because a tiger did it instead of a prison employee it doesn't change the fact that your actions directly resulted in a man dying. The way I see it is that if you are capable of doing a capital murder or a rape or something like that, something with no justification then you do not belong in society. We can either keep them locked up in a concrete box for the rest of their life where they will do nothing but leech off of the state and slowly die, we can drop them in a jungle or similar and let some other thing kill them, or we can instantly end their life without suffering or cruelty. These people cannot be fixed. If they cannot be fixed they must be removed and the most humane way to do so is a firing squad.

My job is not to forgive. My job is not to be a saint. My job is not to be God. I do not abide by the rules that God himself does. The only job is to remove those who do not belong in society from society as quickly and humanely as possible. They have been judged as heinous by society's standards and are therefore removed from society. If their actions were not heinous by God's standards then that is for him and him alone to decide. And let's be honest, murder and rape are also heinous by his standards too and they will also be banished from his society. Killing isn't wrong in and of itself. Unjust killing is. An execution is not unjust, by the very nature of it being a court ruling it is just ideally. We are where we are today because our ancestors were willing to kill, that is how we came to be. If we pretend they didn't and ignore the reasons why they did then we can't be surprised when our society starts to drastically change. The simple reality of it is that yes, some people do have the right to kill others. Defending yourself is the most obvious example. Do not let yourself believe you are above such things, you are just as capable of killing as a decent number of the people in the news are. You are not special, if the right circumstances happened you would also be capable of killing someone. The act does not dictate the judgement but instead the reason does.

What is more moral and correct, leaving someone to starve or die of illness and be attacked by animals over a long period of time, or to instantly end their life without suffering? Is one not more sadistic than the other? Are your actions not your responsibility if you do not see their outcome? The idea of the state not being responsible for what the tiger does to the exile is the same line of thinking that judges use, their actions let the rapist back into the school but they don't feel responsible because it was something else that did it. If their actions would send them to hell then who am I to prolong that? If God himself would banish them then why should I not too? If you have sinned to that degree then the religious thing to do is execute them. It is your obligation to remove such sinners from society. They have already committed the vilest of sins that not even God can forgive, therefore he does not judge those who also do not forgive. The height of the death penalty was also the height of Christianity. Probably in a way because dying for your crimes is a sort of repentance. If you believe there is nothing after death then you are the final arbiter of their life, the last thing that their body or soul will ever experience is your choice. But if you are a Christian then you're not. God is the final arbiter. You don't have that weight on you that you made the final choice because you simply didn't. You are closer to the police officer arresting someone initially than the prison employee pulling the trigger in that situation.

I don't want the death penalty for sadistic reasons. It should be the most humane and quick way possible. Be that a single shot to the head or a firing squad. I do not want to cause these people harm in general. I do not want to take pleasure in the act. I simply do not want murderers and rapists to continue to live amongst us and the only way to do that humanely is by execution. I do not intend to judge their soul, merely their actions as they relate to society. I do not intend to play God. But that does not mean I should be scared to send them to him. I also doubt anyone would take that offer anyway. If you gave someone the choice between being dropped in a jungle or firing squad I would be willing to bet most don't take the jungle option.
