A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

the solution should be to be able to move more quickly with the convictions
Every person that goes through that system is going to say they didn't do it. They're not going to listen to people who say they have been falsely accused. Maybe they should have been able to tell from an interview, innocent people do act a lot different but that would have only ever expedited an already long process. But it wouldn't just be a case of check what this device was doing at this time, it would be checking the entire device. Innocent until proven guilty only works in the court, not in the police system. If they arrest you for something they are going to keep pushing the idea that you are guilty of it until it comes out that you are, or they exhaust any avenue to push down. The real thing should be just fucking check the ips to make sure you actually have the right person. Other than that major unforgivable fuck up I can't say I fault what the police did, other than not give them any compensation.

At this point I'm so disillusioned in the process I'm wondering if they actually ARE nonces but this story gives the police an 'out' for when they inevitably drop investigations into 500 Pakis as "IPs can't be trusted"

Just so there's something funny instead of just how fucked the police are. Kier thinking trump is calling him to speak only for him to get cut off and go back visibly upset by it. Was posted a bit over a week ago though.

"How much of a diplomatic incident will I cause if I start laughing at the cuck?"

Some late night GB News stories:

* Nigel Farage demands Keir Starmer releases Labour membership figures after Reform surge.
* Rachel Reeves to launch £2billion tax raid on doctors, lawyers and accountants as she targets wealthy in Budget.
* Grooming gang victim calls for Jess Phillips to be sacked after quitting inquiry panel.

Plus (non UK news) but it's kicking off again in the Republic of Ireland.

Seems to be just the guards not the hotels though.
Shit kicked off because another immigrant raped a 10 year old last night. They have not identified him however they did say
Judge Brennan assigned an Arabic interpreter for the court hearing.
So not an irishman. Unless it's one of those proper fucked Irish accents.
Interesting that it's not being talked about much. Irish times and independant only talks about the rape itself not the firebombs, rte has both but the firebombing is top of the page and the rape is buried a fair bit lower.
Gb news has a joint story front and centre and surprisingly a pro protester article next to it? Bbc has an article talking about the protest but is buried pretty deep. Sky has it at the very bottom of the uk page, it wasn't there on the main page at all when I first looked but now it's second top story (after palestain shit of course). Nothing on the telegraph either main page or uk page, same for the times.
0 arrests over it too. over 2000 people apparently gathered around an ipas centre (faggots that facilitate illegal immigration) where this was burnt.
No idea where this is, could be the ipas place, could just be west Dublin in general.

God bless.
I know I was shit talking you for doing the wales mentioned shit, I fully acknowledge I am doing the same but Ireland. However consider, Ireland>wales.

At first the George Abaraonye thing makes me think that in a civilised society we should be able to discuss even distasteful things without suffering physical harm, threats, or abuse.

Then I remember he’d celebrate me getting shot in the throat and I think the nigger deserves anything he has coming to him.
The one that really makes my skin crawl about it is he met Kirk.
This was not a complete stranger, this was someone he encountered and spoke with who was murdered by a lunatic.

That George thinks that is something to be celebrated is as incomprehensible to me as a child rapist. I cannot get to that point even of absolute violently political sorts I have met in the past. They might scream "race war now, kill all Conservative voters" but I cannot comprehend reacting to their deaths like it's a fucking goal at the football. They're a human who is now dead. Shitty or not I just can't get there mentally. Maybe that's where we need to be as a country to undo what's happened so far but I'm praying we don't because when that is finally the point reached there won't be any going back.

The Irish will literally firebomb the police if they receive a FRACTION of the migrants that the UK gets yet it's Big Baz with his St George's flag who is the real monster.

On the other hand, his name G. Abroyne, sounds like Jabrony. He can't be all bad.

No that's just Dublin every weekend. You know how the train is the apex predator of the jeet? The Dublin or Belfast resident is the apex predator of the gardai van. They are cooked alive and eaten while still smoking as if it was some banned french aristocratic meal.

Seems to be Saggart, which is a village south-west of Dublin.
Gardaí with public order equipment, helmets and shields, have pushed back protestors, who have surrounded the Citywest IPAS centre shouting "get them out"
"People threw missiles at Gardaí, threw fireworks at them, and set a Garda vehicle on fire. This is unacceptable and will result in a forceful response from the Gardaí. Those involved will be brought to justice.
"As has been made clear during the day, a man has been arrested and charged before the courts in relation to the alleged incident. While I am not in a position to comment any further on this criminal investigation, I have been advised that there is no ongoing threat to public safety in the area." [lol]
Not only was the victim in state care, the suspect was supposed to have been deported in March.
Ms McDonald [Sinn Féin leader] had highlighted that the defendant in the case had been the subject of a deportation order signed in March.
“Can I ask how it is that a person issued for the deportation order remains in the country?”
Ms McDonald highlighted a number of cases of children who had gone missing and died who were in the State’s care.

I meant the specific photo.
I am going to say no. Both the ipas centre and the citywest hotel don't match that photo. The trees are too sparse irl and there's no traffic lights in that area. It looks like that photo was taken a significant distance from them. Here's a google maps pin of where I think that photo was taken. You can see in that photo there's a shoulder high brick wall and that height again in shrub. Looks like it was taken by the entrance to the area which is still probably around a 250m walk from the hotels.

So when they say it was outside the ipas or hotel they mean it was actually pretty far away from it. This is like saying someone protesting on the london eye is protesting outside parliament. Though they could easily have walked down there, there's no gates or anything, just car blocking things for the parking area.

There is something really fishy with this flag malarkey, I was walking home literally 5 minutes ago and the guys doing it were zooming about in tinted windowed vans and shit and they were dressed up like black bloc stormtroopers, my bacon alarm is going off big time and I don't like it.

Actually it makes a lot of sense.

Don't get caught. And if you do, circle the police with big strong guys asap so they run away and don't get your name and address.

Any flag nonsense isn't a serious enough crime to pursue that hard, and as long as no physical harm comes to any police then they'll just write it off. We're finally living in the age where the average men aren't afraid of the police in the slightest.

With the latest riots in Ireland, this could have the potential to disrupt their federal election on Friday.

The justice minister, a faggot named Jim O'Callaghan, has already released a statement where he's more angry at the protesters than he was about a child being raped by a migrant who had a deportation order since March.

Globalist traitors need to be fought.
