A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

France helps transport them to the UK. They don't want them stopping there.
Aye. There was a big headline when the frogs knifed a boat rather than letting it set off because it was probably the first time the french have ever been seen to actually do something, other than stand there smoking cigarettes and eating croissants. They only did it because it was so dangerously unsafe they might have been done for a form of manslaughter for letting it go. Fuckers.

Shut up retard. Welshy often quotes other news sources. He had BBC a few days back and I just references a Guardian article in the discussion.

If you don't like our sources post your own or neck yourself.
Your counter argument is quite weak, but I don't want to shit up this thread. I thought this place would be more tolerant of different ideas and opinions, mature discussions. I agree that Welsh doesn't JUST use GB news, he also uses Guindo Fawkies (I am not against either of these) but there is a very clear bias in this thread, and whenever someone with a countering opinion talks, you shout them down instantly.

Apologies for disturbing the thread.

Why are BP posters so fucking retarded? @Otterly one of your lot has broke containment again. Take this retard back to the foodie beauty thread with all the other ugly munters.
I know that at 15 you think that being a debate bro is a good idea, it's not man. It's not. Relax, unwind and don't take things personally. Stay in thread and shitpost.
If we just have more live streams and debate the ethics of being ethnically replaced we're sure to solve the problem. Donate to me on Kofi, Patreon or send a Super chat if you agree white people are GOATed.

I've noticed an influx of new faggots without avatars being retarded recently.
Don't let it be you.
The problem is that browsing say, the Beeb or the Guardian for articles as an example would make you a gay retard.
Maybe if you want to see different articles posted to discuss, you do it.
You seem like a gay enough retard for it.

Well of course there is a bias in this thread. There’s plenty of other places you can go and spout the state propaganda from the BBC. This is a website where everyone has ended up because they want to talk about something without being arrested for wrong think.

The same shouting down and appearing extremist was used on Reddit, gab, chans, Donald.win, odyssey to shut down debate and appear extremist. I’m convinced kofi is the same level of glowing in shutting down debate.

What debate has Kofi 'shut down'? The state finds the idea that we shouldn't roll over and die in a ditch while endless dead eyes hordes of animals replace us, to be "extremist."

Should I be scared of the ultimate alt-right pick-me girl who works in a governed funded facility in Norfolk? Or someone who works with the atmosphere within the UK is posting such gross text.

Kofi- You're Scottish, you have no human rights.

Again, you're missing the point, unlike most threads on this website, this is the most tame, netural, debatable. Is it far-left to say that maybe, people could try research prior to their news sources ?

Oh, it's that homosexual guy that Null banned before for sockpuppeting. I know because we chatted in a PM; and then they got upset when I said homosexuals were mentally ill. Welcome back.

EDIT: Being gay is a mental sickness. It should be treated as one; and hopefully one day we'll fix it.

I personally read BBC news more frequently than GBN because I think it's good to have a finger on the pulse of the normies. GBN will always report on asylum shenanigans etc but if BBC are doing it, you know it's slightly more serious because they're usually running cover. Same for political happenings. It's also interesting to read the comments, BBC used to be a leftist paradise but over the past year or so there has been major dissent in the ranks, it's good to see.

I agree it's not good to just sit in an echo chamber of your own opinions, you should be exposed to different ideas. How else do you form your opinion, copying whatever Niggel Farage says or GBN is no better than what "the other side" do. On the other hand, our resident Welshman probably has a life outside of KF and doesn't have time to archive multiple news sites for the same story and be the bong news desk.

I have a confession to make, I have never once read a GB news article. I just don't care for them, much like I don't care about whatever the American centre right cope-aganda rag is, or care much for Sargon blubbering about based blacks. It's all very much a game of dull theatre where the centre argues with the left over how fast the total extermination of the British should be. I'd rather get my anti-white rants from the mouth of Sauron itself, or not at all. Why settle for Wormtongue?

BBC News and Wales Online both get used by said poster more than Fawkes.

(extensive laughter about "neutral")
As for research I rate roughly 90% of that poster's posts as optimistic because that is exactly what GB News is. However, an astounding fact that many people fail to comprehend, is that someone posting a news article does not represent belief in that. When I drop the Guardian's latest, "Far-right cause cancer, illegal immigrants the only cure," that does not represent my personal view.

Go on. Do it. Say "echo chamber" and go for the hattrick.

But seriously, if anyone doesn't know the media playbook by now, where have you been? Even outlets that have traditionally been viewed as conservative or (in rare cases) right-wing are indistinguishable from the likes of the BBC, Guardian and co these days.

I'm no fan of GB News, but they are far more likely to report on most of the topics discussed in this thread.

No idea, I'm a white man, married to a beautifual Indian woman.

I respect your decision, I would spost more, but i'lll get banned by insecure faggots.

It's hilarious to see how the allegedly right wing Daily Mail is running in terror at the sight of 6 figures of actual right wingers taking to the streets last week. Couldn't be any more controlled opposition
