A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Fact of the matter is, Lester Pearson had more of a negative influence on the UK's trajectory, Rhodesia, and his own country of Canada, than Queen Elizabeth did.

Yes. That faggot Pearson doesnt get nearly enough hate. He was basically installed by the yanks after Diefenbaker told the Americans to go fuck themselves when they demanded Canada host nuclear SAMs on Canadian territory. Pearson put into place everything that made modern Canada into the clusterfuck that it currently is and set the stage for Pierre Trudeau and his faggot son.

TLDR: ZoomerHistorian won't research something if it looks like he might be wrong in his initial claim, because people like him have based their entire identities around the idea of Hitler being ultimately benevolent, and the UK being the servants of Jews (totally not Hitler coping about Germany's situation at the time) and its downfall being manufactured, which due to it's conceptual complexity, would require naming and shaming every single individual involved so it just becomes easier to blame a few people (Winston Churchill, Queen Elizabeth) than the actual dozens if not hundreds of people that'd require naming and shaming.
That would explain the tone of the comments in that video. Thanks for setting things right, then.

I don't doubt that Churchill and the late Queen weren't perfect, but revisionism to suit an agenda never works out well.

IMO Churchill was the best PM of them all.

We will not see the likes of him for a good while, even Nigel does not come close to the great man.

The Queen wasnt perfect but she was the last widely respected monarch, she lived through the troubles and so many wars and was still respected around the world, even in Ireland and Argentina. Maybe it's just coincidence and all but everything really went to shit after she passed

The Queen was pretty much only really respected because she was a lovely safe stand in for your Gran who died a few years back. She was so old she was pretty much everyone's stand in granny for 30 years or so until she croaked it. I cannot remember a single thing she ever said in a Queens speech which is wild because I watched pretty much every one for 20 years straight. A completely inoffensive figurehead that was fine pretty much.

Put it this way, Charles has so little respect that not only do people I chat to forget he's actually the king now, but there was a version of God Save the King with different lyrics that's just been abandoned and everyone's just switched queen for king and fixed the pronouns because the establishment know that there wouldn't be a single fucking person who would respect a national anthem they didn't know the lyrics to.

Once Charles croaks (which looks like it'll be soon considering his cancer) people will have to deal with the first monarch under the age of 50 for the first time in 40 years. The knowledge that this guy is going to be king AND he's going to be king for a long time might be enough to finally get people to turn on the monarchy completely.

To solve the obvious "Republic" issue if the Winsors are binned - Why not just make "King" an electable position to replace "Prime Minister"?
I believe Otterly pointed out the sort of person that would end up in that position by evoking the name of that cunt Tony Blair.

Elected heads of state end up representing the worst of the establishment.

Whilst I have my issue with Charles and the royals generally, I'm still positive.

The alternative is replacing them with some sort of politician, and you've seen our politicians and what they're doing.

Shit had already been getting worse for decades before she died. The 2008 crash happened during her reign, so did modern mass migration in 2020, 2015 and 1997. The outsourcing of our industry happended while she was queen. As well as the first case of the gov betraying the people for profits being the wind rush generation. That's not even counting she oversaw pretty much every territory the empire owned being handed for nothing all to satiate the stupid anti-colonial beliefs of retarded college students. She just watched back as everything our ancestors died fighting for was given for nothing all to make a few brown people and billionaires happy.

Ticketless train travel to be trialed across cities:

So free cross country travel by driving your phone into aeroplane mode?
Japan unlike us doesn't have the EU breathing down its neck to "take its share" and follow the ECHR. They can turn down as many as they want and what's anyone going to do about it?

They've also been lucky in a way to see how it has effected Europe and after looking at it in horror from a far or when ever they visit (which I have encountered them having a major culture shock when visiting England) they don't feel so eager on replicating it in their own country. So when they see their government begin the process to start shipping wogs, jeets and other shades of poo with the excuse of falling birth rates then they are going to flip it immediately and not risk becoming another victim of multi culturalism.
Japan are this angry because of white tourists and four Nigerians. We should all learn a bit from those autistic tentacle porn enjoyers.

No, I don't care if it doesn't properly fit the implied definition.
You don't vote for King!

I don't think that's right. There are other verses to the song which has a huge number of variations and only the first verse is consistent in everywhere it has been published, but it has nothing to do with Charles.

Might as well get a bunch of people on bicycles at home to generate electricity as it'd probably be cheaper than this load of shit.

Wouldn't work, immigrants don't know how to peddle on a bike. All their bikes are motorised and are partly owned by Deliveroo.
How about those Victorian prison treadmills?

That’s sort of the point. She was a master at never being controversial. Never complain never explain
The alternative to the monarchy is president for life Blair. No ta. Will take the monarchy. If we could get some more original English stock back on the throne even better.

Maybe some big brain can tell me what this means for the country?
It means exactly what we know it means. Our children have been sacrificed on the altar of diversity and the people in charge have blood on their hands.

Also, some positive/different news. Guido Fawkes is 21 years old today and to celebrate, has relaunched their website after at least 7 - 8 years of being the same. Noticed it was down for maintenance this morning and I joined back and it looks very different! Not a fan of the lack of contrast between the cards, though, makes it kind of hard to read. Might just be that I'm so used the old design which has been the same for about a decade. Interesting how this is all happening now that Paul Staines has retired and Ross Kempsell is running it now.

EDIT: Gilt yield levels are now at their highest since 1988. I hope this fucking stops because we will be ruined if this gets much worse. We currently have worse rates than Greece. It was at 1998 levels yesterday and we've lost a decade of progress in about 12 hours.

I see a fellow Guido enjoyer, GBNews, has been getting better but I hate their website. If you think the yields are bad now, wait til next week when France announces it needs a bailout. The Euro and Germany will take most of the damage but because there are a few French companies in the UK.
