Essentially so long as the possibility remains for all our concerns and issues to get ameliorated, it's unlikely to manifest in such things. It sounds pessimistic but relative to our neighbours it feels like outside of Eastern Europe the sentiment towards foreigners and immigrants is much more and openly resentful than it is in the likes of France and Germany. These are the ones we're rivals with and share a mutual respect, people like Macron are a composite of the worst aspects of Liberalism and Globalism and have practically had the Frenchness squeezed out of them.

Perhaps not wrong. Due to how little I know about German and French domestic situations, I got no clue whether our country might be the first to heat up its rhetoric like this because we're relatively worse off. I feel like I should be surprised if that's the case, but at the same time I'm not.
No idea if this is true or not. I do see that Brits need a ceiling for rhetoric, but those who set said ceiling are forced to raise it due to chafing it against it, the resentment is just that high. The Conservatives initially set it, even when Farage was about, since their decline Farage would ordinarily be the one to do it but Lowe is another party who's helping significantly on that front. Remember, 8 months ago Farage said mass deportations weren't possible.
