A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

All the missing ethnic data reminds me of an instance where a police officer was stopping and searching people at the local library. When asked he willingly admitted he'd been put there increase the proportion of White people in their stop and search statistics. He was just there all afternoon, stopping random library goers for no good reason.

With a culture like that, it makes me wonder if there's a bias in when they don't ask or record the ethnicity.

Still, it's a long report. It's going to take a while to look through. Kudos to @>IMPLYING for getting stuck in and sharing his findings.
 
I don't know if I've the stomach to read it. I know it's bad. I live near (not in thank fuck) Keighley and my social circle via church includes a teaching assistant, and a community midwife. The first hand stories are fucking horrific.

We all know it's bad but if you think Rotherham is as bad as it gets then you're very wrong.

I remember working in Glasgow for a few days years ago when there was a story about British Transport Police searching a lot of browns in Scotland. I walked through central station and I honestly think if I wasn’t in a shirt and tie I’d have been searched.

It was just full of police searching white guys.

I’d probably have had weed or a few line of coke on me back then too 😂

Pro-tip: wear a tie, the police leave you the fuck alone if you act normal at all times.

It's been going on in that area (in and around Bradford) since the 1970's and it's far wider and more rampant then what you could possibly imagine
 
What exactly is anyone expecting to happen over the Paki rape gangs anyway? Ok, so they will do yet another audit, and make the same discovery any indigenous bong already knows: uncivilised people do uncivilised things. Then they will either obfuscate the findings because they don't want to be racist, or if the mood is swinging the other way they may present their findings in full.

But then what? This is the way these people are, you can't stop them raping any more than you can stop them being retarded (which comes as part of inbreeding, something else they are prone to). If you don't want Arabs raping people in the UK, you need to make sure there are no Arabs in the UK. As much as I'd love that to happen, I just don't see it, not with the political landscape we have now. I'm still waiting for all the shenanigans if Reform manage to carry their local election success into national success at the next GE.
 
So in my very quick summary of all this from the quick bit I've read is that the government at all levels has not only been hiding it was happening, refusing to stop it happening but they were also fucking with the numbers so when it did get out and during when it first became big news in the mid 2010's, they purposefully miss represented the data so they could deflect it onto the whites?

As a whole it doesn't seem to say anything that we didn't already know.

Years back I went on vacation and took the grandparents with us and they got their bags properly swabbed for explosives at the airport by a very apologetic chap who actually told them that sorry guys we have to stop some white old people some times so we arent racist. He was so nice about it that We All Laughed but ffs.
Been at work all day and only just stopped so will read all about the rape gangs.

If they can't say it, how can we expect these people to have the stomach to do what needs to be done? We can't. The cowards, the weak men, have brought the bad times to us. I don't believe the strong men want to save the weak men this time.
Sometimes, tribes of men and packs of animals will let the weak die to strengthen the heard.

To the surprise of no one, even with faulty and misleading data. "Asians" in West Yorkshire (home of Bradford and Rotherham) make up for more grooming gang offenders then whites and has an incredibly high "not stated" percentage at 24% of the overall total.

Report also references how massively over represented "Asians" are in grooming gang offenders in West Yorkshire compared to how much of the population they make up.
 
i have an idea: every politician, journoscum, social service worker and copper that in anyway can be connected to anything from covering up to downplaying it gets deported to pakistan, no matter what colour they are
