A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

These were all white, English kids btw, it seems that there are no consequences of punishment for bad behaviour anymore.
Yep the city I work in has gangs of roaming white kids that just cause issues for everyone because they know there is 0 consequences for doing so. I can at least crack a smile at the one time I did see someone just get fed up of them and wack one of them cleanly in the face.

Greggs should offer a loaf.

But why though? Whose interest is it to allow these to happen?
It is in nobody's interest. I know people will harp about anarcho-tyranny and such, but our ruling class don't have the brains or the competence to implement anything on that level. The blackest of black pills is that they don't know how to fix it. Cameron wanted to hug a hoodie, May wanted to force them to carry biometric ID, Boris thought they'd just stop being mean if he did enough pratfalls, Dishy Rishi was a complete non-entity on the topic (he deferred to Braverman, who wanted to force them all to carry ID like May), and Starmer can only think in terms of locking up wrongthinkers. None of these address the fundamental problem, which is that responsibility for dealing with community issues has been deferred to the authorities, where prior to around the late 60s and early 70s it would have been dealt with by responsible adults in the community. Not a perfect system, but one where people were more likely to resolve problems themselves, rather than sit on their hands and insist that "someone should do something!" while the rowdies were tearing everything apart around them.

It helped that most kids back then were working at least part time, which meant that there was less opportunity to just hang around in gangs. Young men also had more opportunity to gather in clubs and friendlies, rather than roaming the streets, and were more likely to be "encouraged" into activities that kept them out of trouble.

In short, it would be a big risk for Russia for no meaningful return.
Rusnigs can and will pull any old shit because the left mutant subhuman hand shaped claw has no idea what other the right one is doing, case in point the novichok fiasco or the recent cock-up where they got caught outsourcing their KGB bullshit to 3rd party Bulgarians.
Should they/do they want to/is it a good idea are all entirely irrelevant, all it takes is one boneheaded zegroe on a mission for da mutherland, especially with all the divided loyalties of the refugees, it's all very struggle under fuhrerprinzipy.
it seems that there are no consequences of punishment for bad behaviour anymore.
I work in a similar work setting and the solution as always is to batter the little shits, the fuck are they gonna do about it, call the police? lol, lmao even.
"oh but you're opening yourself up to liability" total bollocks, only spoken by those who are demoralized, magical words are real and two of them are; reasonable escalation, combined with CCTV? I'm not the one who gets a lift home in a cop car they are, works every time.

The reason the little shits can and do get away with anything and everything is because until they meet a nasty bastard who actually knows their rights (like me) they've never had to face actual consequences for their actions, this is why they are unreasonably confident to their capability to not get their shit pushed in.

I saw a video of him punching a guy who came at him at the races one time. It was a pretty swift punch. And there was that video of him getting jumped by six Antifa outside a McDonalds and he kept swinging till they ran off (the the police refused to assist him). He's at the least able to handle himself pretty well. Has to be, really.

For the record:
I'm not claiming that I would fight Tommy Robinson. His physique is short and stocky. We've seen him confront crowds. He's a fighter, in more ways than one.
(Sure, if he didn't get the first punch in, I could easily pick him up and give him a swirly. I'd love to think I'm that hard.)

We'd be more likely to have a pint together. We've had a couple of decades where Tommy has been made out to be the worst far-right boogie man. His meanest days were mostly a thing of the past. He's alright. Not what they say he is. He has been made public enemy number one, and that's an unfair surmisal of who he is; a regular yobbo who speaks the truth.

He is tough. He isn't frightened by the mob of dickheads. He speaks for the majority.
He's never going to be an MP, but he will always be a powerful voice.
Needed now more than ever.

Needed now more than ever.
I don't like him and I think he's a twat, he is on the correct side of history though, as evidenced by even le beeb consneeding to him being a mere "far-right anti-Islam activist" as opposed to the expected "convicted Islamophobic hard alt extreme right wing nahtzee" which is what you usually expect to see.

Found this dude on companies house. This is a construction company. Looks like he does really have Romanian papers. I bet it was a fake passport or something. I’m guessing the other director is a brother or something.

Ukraine has an ethnic Romanian minority of about 150,000-300,000 that primarily reside in the country's West, the brothers also have a very Romanian family name, and Chernivtsi Oblast where Stanislav, one of the suspected bumboys/arsonists, claims to be from has the largest concentrations of ethnic Romanians in the country at about 100,000.

So them claiming to both be Ukrainian and Romanian would make sense, especially if they're dual citizens.

No one’s. But the kids and parents cry foul if you do anything and dealing with that is not worth the hassle.
You're kidding me. I've been ignoring prostitutes my whole life. You meant to tell me all this time I could have had someone listen to me talk about politics all night long?
I’m open to offers.

Tories now in FOURTH.

Happy Tuesday, lads.

EDIT: This is from YouGov, who've usually been pretty good with the polls. Tories have never been in fourth place before.
I'm neither Tory or Labour, but I would rather see labour nuked from orbit before the tories. Sure, Milk Snatcher was a tory, but they've done less damage to the country than Labour have in the time since Thatcher. Blair and Starmer have fucked this country harder than Lex The Impaler on Viagra.

Why do gays pay for it BTW? They can just go down to a gay bar and strike up a conversation with another random if the want to bum someone.
Speaking from experience?
I’m guessing the other director is a brother or something.
Their address is Plough Way. Come on, simulation, y'ain't even tryin' no mo'

Speaking from experience?
Acquiring the bumming isn't the hard part it's the not getting metaphorically bummed afterwards, my lived experience (as a 3rd party impartial observer) is that it is downright hazardous being a homo, if you're paying for it you know what you're in for, and are a bit less likely to have your wallet nicked, and your cupboards ran through, and the back of your head cracked in mid self-hating gay-panic etc.
That and the drugs, it's typically a package deal, basically gays = degens in every fashion to the extent that straight up getting a rentboy is the safe and hygienic option.
