A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

They're only red flags through the eyes of the traditional white Brit.

The fact is, those under 30 (arguably under 35) are at best, defensive of pakis and blacks, and at worst outright sympathetic. Civil war or civil unrest will be a load of white, working class men vs fags, pakis, women and pussified manchildren. Out numbered and with both the justice system and media against them, the white, working class men will lose.

If we're lucky, we will see some of the army break away, but I doubt it. The programming is strong, the plebs appeased by tiktok, their brains turned to mush by consumerism and their appetite to fight filled by vidya games.

I am in this age bracket and definitely do not fit that stereotype. From my real life relationships, and online, I think people under 30 are very split. It seems to be either you are a full globohomo lib lgbt believer, or the most racist man in the world.

Anyway, the defining difference between the pro-immigration and anti-immigration lot is that the pro-immigration people simply haven't done the research and/or are denying reality. When you truly look at all the stats and your own real life observations of this country with an open mind, there is only one conclusion you can come to.

As I said, I'm under 30, and everything has been in a constant state of decline my entire life. I think there's definitely going to be some significant unrest sooner rather than later across the UK, and it will definitely involve people around my age.

When there's another similar event to Southport, which their inevitably will be (unfortunately), it won't take long for it to spread all over twitter and people will be get pissed off again.

The "brain rot" of under 35's to multi culturalism sadly runs too deep and the male population doesn't quite have the same back bone as their main land brothers in Europe. Even a lot of self described right wing zoomers have some fairly left wing takes when it comes to immigrants. So trying to get them to take up arms against them would be very difficult.

Maybe gen alpha will be different (majorly fucking doubt it) but as you mentioned, it's likely going to be norf fc types finally having enough. You might be able to get zoomers on board if things get really bad for them but as is, I honestly belief Gen Z are the most cucked generation and hat Gen X failed to raise Z properly and should have kept them away from the Millennials.

I am under 35 and know plenty of under 35s that have very anti-immigration opinions but don't voice it because of the possible social and legal repercussions. Problem is the libs are vicious and will try and destroy your entire life if you mention any of these opinions, so most people won't bother until there's no other choice but to speak out or take action.

From my own experience, it's the older generations that are more cucked when it comes to immigration.

The notherners up here who are younger, are deluded and maybe it's because of their lack of exposure to pakis that they defend islam and muslims. The older lot though are "push them into the oven" types.

This is very true and isn't just on immigration. Trying to explain to kids why the conservatives aren't a far-right party is insane. I only have to ask who is wanting to ban gay marriage - to the quizzical looks of "why would we do that", from even the self-proclaimed 'right wing' kids, to know that the ratchet effect is in effect and has ratcheted far beyond returning to the 90s.

Up in "da norf" I find it to be where you live determines your thoughts on Pakis. If the zoomer has lived around a conclave of them then they tend to have a burning hatred of all browns which isn't too hard to get them to slip out once they know you're on the same wave length. Now if their from an area with little to none of them or they come from a city like Leeds, Manchester or Sheffield (big metropolitan and Uni city's) then prepare for the most out of touch drivel you've heard in your whole life. It's a massive NIMBY issue as at times you can be surrounded by Pakis in one town or city, go a couple of miles down the road and now there's next to none of them.

Exceptions to the Northern rule is Bradford because everyone's a paki. inbred and looks the same and Liverpool because they hate everyone who isn't from Liverpool.

Leeds is home to some of the biggest paki infested shit holes in the norff, the only reason Leeds uni students aren't full blown nazis, is because the city was gentrified about 15 years ago to attract the suvvern consoooomer. I remember the day I walked through Leeds and realised I hadn't heard a Yorkshire accent all day. I'm convinced this was done for more than financial reasons.

Sheffield is strange and, I believe suffered the same fate as Leeds, because Rotherham - home of the paki gangs, is only a few miles outside the city and, generally, South Yorkshire towns are old mining towns that hate outsiders, black or white, and they also have a burning hatred of blacks and pakis.

Manchester should have more people hating pakis than any mentioned city, as they were bombed in the arena and Oldham - just outside of Manchester, is Bradford on tother side o' Pennines.

Maybe the correlation here is that Universities are so mixed with wogs, pakis, niggers and chinks that the brainwashed cucked-whitoid now sees a shit-coloured rainbow and thinks it's acceptable. These are the people that will soon lead the country and they will defend their mystery meat friends to the death. IMO, that's what will cause the civil war.

I'm up north. It's worth mentioning though that, although I do know younger people with "based" views on immigration, you're right on all your other points. It's completely hopeless to try and explain why the conservatives aren't truly right-wing, or to try and argue against gay marriage. Most people are completely embedded in the post-ww2 liberal political order, even if they can see the reality of the immigration issue.

Trying to get people to connect the dots is a exercise in futility.

"Why are there long waiting times in the NHS? Why is everything so expense? Why is everywhere so busy? Why are our services falling apart?"

They always end up with the same conclusion; "we need fewer people" but they never quite make the link between getting rid of all brownoids will mean fewer people.


EDIT: I've found that people who have spent any time around pakis, be they english, slav or other, come to hate the fuckers with a passion. Anyone, especially lefties, who have never had the displeasure of spending time with them, seem to put them on a pedestal of genuinely decent, hardworking, friendly people.
 
Yeah it's pretty obvious Farage does not want to win. He has had a dozen opportunities in the last 10 years to score big and every time he made the choice to not do it. Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action. His purpose is to be a grifter and make sure no actual opposition ever forms.

Here is a interesting thing:


Some girl apparently faked a grooming gang scandal, accusing 3 people who didn't do anything and faking her injuries in 2021. This story has gotten super popular on the mainstream media, and they spent no time at all to talk about it. She was arrested and faces 8 years in jail. This drama actually harmed other investigations as women were scared of trying to come out and speak out.

Except now more information has come out about her case. Turns out she accused more than those 3, and in her personal diaries she accused men who have been convicted of grooming gang participation. And this isn't just a case of changing stories, oh no. This comes from her personal diaries, written way before she would accuse anyone going back to 2019. Indeed some of the people she named in the diaries would not be exposed and convicted until AFTER her fake stunt.

So now people are demanding the case be re-examined. The police hid names and there is a chance they literally chose to ignore it just to own the chuds about how the thing that never happens never happened.

It's very possible the girl did this to her self to bring attention to the issue because no one would listen to her. But why would she then blame 3 guys who look to not have been the issue rather then the 3 who did and then never bring up what she did clearly know?
