When you talk to 30 year old men they are unbelievably fucking weird and romanticise weird shit like having to find porn magazines in bushes pre-internet. They bring this shit up so much. This is also where all the age gap shit is coming from ... nobody wants to date these men, they're all fucking weird and predatory because they've all watched so much porn that they say that they know it's not real but they secretly think they can act it out in real life. There are no men left who don't zombify themselves on porn. Women internet is if you remove the gender war shit just doing dances on tiktok which doesn't hurt anybody.

It took me years to accept that I had so many prejudices that were unfounded, driven by other emotions and other desires. I had reasoned everyone's actions was pure self-interest. It made me despise people. I was paranoid about them and about the safety of my money. Then one day, I had a rude awakening. I was forced to face a hard reality. In that time, several people, men and women, did something I had not expected, they helped me without reward. They took pity, and I was undeserving, for I had brought everything down onto myself, but they still helped me. How strange, how bizarre. You would think I had been grateful, and I was, but I was annoyed that I, Mr. Genuis, had been humbled.
Of course we are self-interested, the species would have died out without a little narcissism, but were the soldiers who sacrificed themselves in wars really in it for themselves?

I think men and women both, though most grow out of it, have this opinion of the opposite sex of being one thing or the other. Due to the sexdrive, this will always be the case. Nietzsche said love was based on a mutual distaste for the opposite gender. Love was exclusionary. The opposite gender, due to consciousness, are forever a mystery. That's a good thing, obviously. Life should be a mystery and adventure even when sitting down at a computer. If you don't see the fun of it, then make it fun.
Perhaps it is just me though. Not once in the outside world have I ever talked to a friend about porn habits. I have never spotted, though I have lived with many different types of men, the dark underbelly of desire. I have never witnessed, outside of films, someone wistfully reminiscing about porn mags. I think the only time anyone ever talked about porn, both boys and girls, was at school and involving two girls one cup. Perhaps I am the last prude, but I rarely talk about sex unless something funny happened.
Maybe I am lying to myself. I have been sheltered for too long. I need therapy. Freedom has made people uncanny psychologists of one another, looking through to each other and seeing the nothing that is rich human experience. That precise gaze never goes into our own minds and judgements however, which is a shame, for it is usually the only one we are fit to judge.
We talk a lot of lonely people, and we should look at the causes (porn is one of them) yet never notice the happy couples. Young people with healthy erotic behaviours. England, despite how shitty I think it has become, has a lot of them. A young man and a young woman, deeply in love. Perhaps involving a little delusion, perhaps involving a little foolishness, but occasionally romance ekes into our lives and makes it liveable.
Test yourself sometime: when you are out on the street and spot a young couple, what is your first emotional reaction? Is it joy or it is disgust? Then ask yourself, does that joy or disgust say more about the couple or about you?
