A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Lad tried to go full sicario on some poor bastard, but he turns out to be a retard and now's in a taxi with some legs in a suitcase
I feel sorry for the cabbie. Now the back of his car’s full of gore and been seized for forensics. I hope they at least deep clean it for him before they give it back.

It’s looking like quite a week for horrifying murder.
Manhunt after body parts found in suitcases
They're now saying that it seems to be the remains of two different men, and that the guy they're looking for travelled up from London, sounds like they know more about him than they're revealing, they don't appear to have identified the bodies yet, but if there was blood coming out of the suitcases it sounds like they'd be killed quite recently.

Two, eh? They only removed the cases from the scene early afternoon yesterday, so someone at the coroner’s has had a fun few hours of human jigsaw building.

More developments.
Since the early hours of this morning the Metropolitan Police have been taking apart a house in Shepard’s Bush in relation to this case. Also, the police have said the suspect is no longer in the Avon & Somerset area.
Couple of things we can work out from that, First, either they’ve already identified at least one of the bodies and he’s associated with this London address, or our Smooth Brained Criminal got his cab to the railway station from there. Secondly, this stupid fucker obviously got another cab back to Temple Meads after the whole bridge incident and they’ve got a load of cctv footage of him doing so, I wouldn’t be surprised if this thick twat booked an Uber.

Gruesome though this case is, it’s the sheer tardery involved that makes it particularly interesting ,

On the assumption this is drug related and the fact he swore at people in Spanish and drew loads of attention to himself, I'm going to hazard a guess and say he did a bunch of drugs to deal with his mission and cooked up his little plan while as high as a kite.

The suitcases were leaking gore, which as @pangolins pointed out suggests these men were recently murdered. So either the men were in London and got lured out to Bristol, or (my personal theory) the man is in London and went to Bristol to collect the murdered bodies from somewhere there. He presumably wasn't a local if he didn't know the bridge had fences. I wonder what he did before he "left the area" - if he dumped the suitcases just after midnight, he'd have missed the last train and the first one wouldn't have been till after 4am.

I’m going to have to see who the victims are before I start caring about this.

This may sound to some viewers as harsh, but some people deserve getting chopping up and dumped in a suitcase.

That’s an interesting point. If he’d brought the cases with him from London then surely they’d have leaked on the train and he’d have left a gore trail both on the train itself and through TM station? No other Bristol locations have been mentioned so far, though.

I will freely admit if someone on the train had a frantic look and two suitcases dribbling blood I would not be confronting them. And nor would any of the transport police.

Did the suitcases each contain a body? Is dis nigga Mr T? Lifting two bodies like it's nothing, or were the remains just bits of legs n shit?

If the former, wog strength is real. If the latter, where's the rest of the bodies?
Looks like they’ve found more bits of one of the guys in the suitcases at the address in Shepherd’s Bush. Also, we’ve got a name for the suspect, Yostin Andres Mosquera, a 24yo Colombian.
So it’s probably cartel business, and the police are the least of this cretin’s worries right now.

Please let this black dude be attached to one of the right wing Columbian militia drug cartels so the press don’t know what to do.
