A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

this video is simply the best thing i've ever seen
I've been watching double speed, it has been interesting so far. I didn't know the Green Party opposed solar panel and windmill farms or that doctor's unions literally voted to limit the amount of junior doctors (which is likely part of why we've got a shortage now). His part on the Conservative's attempts to cut budgets and the parts that they chose to cut was also insightful, but I imagine things still would have gone badly had they not gotten in. There's some parts that bug me, like where he says you should be spending your 20s "having sex and partying" rather than living with your parents, but it's seems to bash most parties evenly.

It's probably the new version of "get out there and live a little". One's 20s are the best time to get all of that sort of thing out of your system. I spent some of my 20s partying but as soon as I turned 30, I got bored of that shit real fast.

There's nothing inherently wrong with living with your parents as long as you're self-sufficient to live without them once that time comes.

On Farage's return to politics, Sky News article contains the following:

"Nigel Farage has been accused of using Reform UK as a "vehicle for self-promotion", which the home secretary told Sky News..."

Really? A politician in it for themselves? Never!!!!

just accept the left wing breadtuber youtube video THIS time because it confirms what you want to believe, that's how you know something is true, if it feels good.
Nobody accepts the video as-is because it's not good. It is insufficient and biased.

You invented an entire strawman of your own, then countered it with another layer of your own fantasies to complete the circle. You try to force your own, warped, perception of everyone else as "fact" and then justify your own position by leveraging that.

It would be acceptable, if it wasn't so cowardly - it's all just "give up", until this arbitrary and frankly, false, part comes true. Everyone who can possibly be of help, and improve your standard of living, must have strong opinions about Jews - you've got more in common with the Breadtubers than you realise. It's literally just some vague notion about conspiracy, to refer to capitalism - except the Jew has taken the position of the capitalist.

When everyone should be learning skills or taking actions, you demand that they stop - because you assume you have the "right idea" because you're edgier than the competition, and more willing to lie. But in so doing, you push away people who can be of some actual use - and sabotage any attempt for the actual Brits to make any headway.

It doesn't go into the criminality of the state, civil service or institutions - focuses entirely on the financial sector.
doctor's unions literally voted to limit the amount of junior doctors (which is likely part of why we've got a shortage now)
The doctor's unions are full of third-world criminals who want to cover for other third-world criminals. I've come to learn that the Paki rape gangs scandal is going to be eclipsed by the "third-world doctors and their overt murders of thousands of white Brits"

Remember there a huge racism problem in medicine, just look how many more complaints non-White doctors receive, nothing to do with pajeets being fucking incompetent honest.

Funnily enough if you dig into the data properly then

East Asian doctors have the lowest rate of complaints.

then White doctors (of any nationality).

Then Afro-Caribian/actually black doctors are a little worse than whites.

Then the pajeets are absolture bottom of the barrel by a good way, shitting up the entire statistics for non-Whites.

Ultimately it comes down to you're better off with a UK taught White doctor since they're actually held to some standards. Then non-pajeet non-white doctors (UK taught prefrably) because they seem equivalent but some will have got by complaints that would have seen a white doctor struck off because GMC has gone woke. After that you're probably better using Google for a diagnosis and the black market for the drugs. Then it's a toss up between the Bangalore trained pajeet or jumping infront of a train.

Yep. I'll be straight - it's not "gone woke" - it's "murder" and "attempted murder" and I'm speaking from experience. They outright tamper with people's records, and knowingly put them in danger - both directly and indirectly - by selectively following their own guys.

They are not "dumb haha" - they have murdered thousands of people.

I already dug into the data, and what I calculated, in its most basic form, just by considering that the complaint rate is proportionate to the offense/malpractice rate, that the subhuman continent is responsible for atleast 6000 British fatalities per year. That's just raw negligence. In order for them to be overrepresented in just the complaints, the 1/4-1/3 Asian demographic would have to be greater than the sum of all other negligence cases, combined.

Most preventable deaths in the NHS are from Asian doctors. Not just a statistical "overrepresentation" - at the high end, it's 75% of all deaths are from "negligent" Asian doctors.

By just comparing the numbers, I estimated that around 6500 deaths and 50,000 injured due to this. Weirdly, you hit the exact same nail on the head - in my experience, blacks and whites are roughly equal. If it was some IQ thing, or some statistical anomaly, they wouldn't pass through medical school and it would follow suit that black doctors would have the same "anomaly" - they don't. Everyone else is grouped together, and there's a slight change for East Asians due to their relative seniority and rarity, then a huge spike for South Asians.

It's murder. Straight-up a deliberate campaign of sadistic abuse against Brits - at the hands of our own government. Of the 151 cases of gross negligence manslaughter between 2013 and 2018, only 4 had resulted in actual convictions. During the same timeframe, the government went out of its way to represent the exact same doctors on the tribunal panels.

I discovered this when I was filing shit for my own experience. Despite evidence of genuine wrongdoing, so blatant that it's written down, I would have to prove that to the tribunal - each of which has one, or several, other Asians who can dismiss it out-of-hand with no justification. In order to actually get a complaint written down, I have to submit evidence through that system. The only ones which ever get written down are the most slam-dunk cases, and of those, there's a <2% chance they'll go anywhere.

There is no political solution to speak of.

Understatement of the fucking decade.

I've mentioned it before but my family and I are currently working with PALS because the NHS decided to drop a life saving treatment and intended to send me to CAHMS (mental health services for kids and teens) when I'm over 30 years old. Right now the NHS are trying to make sure we're not gonna win anything from them and are trying to avoid having to put anything in writing to us.

Unfortunately for them my dad is very good with lawyerspeak. And nothing scares the NHS more than someone who knows how to be a lawyer.

Do you want to know why Kiwi Farms is actually so demonized by the UK's media? Because it teaches people the technique of archiving things to an autistic degree. I'm starting to see boomers on Facebook repeat the familiar mantra: "archive everything" to those wanting to file complaints using PALS. I won't be surprised if people who lurk the Farms have been teaching their parents and grandparents how to do it because it clearly gets shit done.

I'm waiting on more data, but yes, the fact that there are multiple people in this thread who have been outright abused by the NHS is telling, enough. It's politically correct to hand over more money to the murderers, because their job is "hard and nobody else could possibly comprehend it" - despite all evidence. Thus, "Clap for the NHS" and worship it like a deity, similar to "Diversity" - it's not a propaganda for the state, it's a life-or-death situation for the government on the whole.

And nothing scares the NHS more than someone who knows how to be a lawyer.
It's a bureaucratic nightmare and needs to be cracked open properly. Once it is, it would collapse the entire government.

or that doctor's unions literally voted to limit the amount of junior doctors
yeah this is an open secret. You need to look at the BMA as the last big guild, rather than a union. Its job is to control numbers so that wages stay high and to protect its members, not the public. They do that very well. They’re also now completely infiltrated with young progressives
the subhuman continent is responsible for atleast 6000 British fatalities per year.
I’m not in the least surprised. There they have multiple paths to being a ‘doctor’ one of which is basically a short training in Ayurvedic stuff. A HUGE number of those have managed to come over and be magically counted as real doctors. I have encountered several at work and they do not fill me with confidence.
A lot of the rest have basically cheated in exams, which is rife there .
There are of course some very good doctors from that neck of the woods as well - for a while I had a Sri Lankan female GP who was absolutely fantastic, and I know an Indian orthopaedic surgeon who is top of his game (much older guy, almost retired now) But the standard of professionals in the NHS is variable to say the least. The good docs I know say this as well, they see it daily. There’s a massive problem with qualification checking and standards it seems

That's because they let them vouch for eachother, and use political pressure to force out anyone critical. There's a difference between just "ah, silly unqualified people" and "forcibly driving out competent doctors and stamping out anyone else's career" - it's a fucking mafia.

Watch them closely, especially in their interactions with young white people and particularly young white women - the UK's fatality rate for young women is way out of whack. Young blacks, too - since conditions like diabetes kill in their 30s, many of them may be on course to die in the next ten years. There's a delay in the realisation of this crime - like a slow-working poison.

They're almost entirely complicit in mass-murder. England is twice as high as Scotland for negligence cases, too.

I've finished it now. The video was overall interesting, but toward the end, he starts going off unscripted and it goes downhill really fast. One of the claims he made is that old people are the main cause of a lot problems and actively try to make life harder for younger people. At the end he says to vote out your local "Conservative Fascist Gangster" MP. I fucking wish.

It started off pretty unbiased giving each party their fair share, but he seems to pin everything on the Conservatives at the end. I would recommend the first 50 minutes. He gets the main point across that the government is incompetent (or malicious) and that things need to change. When he's on-script, he's quite reasonable, but off-script, he is screeching incoherently.

It must kill the yanks to know that no matter how bad Britain gets, it's still the best country on Earth with the best people on the planet. Seethe more, turn-coat fucks. No other country can queue, peacefully, respectfully, while their bank crashes and their money runs out, all while moaning about how long the queue is.

I know shit is bad now, but proper Britain and proper British, are just the best.

It's only what he did with UKIP. Farage turned it from a broad-based eu-sceptic part into a personal publicity vehicle, which he used to propel himself into euparl so he could claim a fat pension and expenses, in exchange for making occasional blustering speeches that looked good on video, but made no difference to anything. He jumped ship the moment his association with the party became a personal liability.

Im only 16 minutes in and i already know hes just avoiding the massive specter of insane mass immigration that has plagued britian as long as it has the US. "But the heckin Tories wont build more giant highrises and rail lines n shit" is some insane copium. I hope retards like this suffuh for eternity.

I don't know, the nostalgic guy seems like he's trying to do a cool thing without bothering anyone. Seems wholesome enough to me...
I quite liked what he had done, hence the inclusion of the image. It's still amusing.
I guess I've seen worse, but I feel like I can't remember the last time we had a nice statue. All the public statues are ugly now.
It was the close up of it that convinced me to post that one, something about it tickled my funny bone.

But the heckin Tories wont build more giant highrises and rail lines n shit
They have been building a new rail line, but the whole thing was a massive boondoggle and now it's only going to Birmingham instead of Manchester as originally planned.

I know shit is bad now, but proper Britain and proper British, are just the best.
Could you tell me where these proper Britons are because all I see are malicious aristocrats, drunk boomers, single moms and children without a future? Despite loving English culture in the past, I really cannot muster anything but utmost contempt for the modern United Kingdom. You gave away the Empire for the comfort of your ruling class and third worlders who will abandon you for greener pastures. How can you be proud of being an ex-hegemon in freefall?
I'm sure he describes a great many problems with the country, which I'm sure in turn you relish for your own reasons, but the premise of his argument - that everything is the fault of the current government - is fundamentally flawed, so I reject everything he says.
This attitude is also why I believe that the United Kingdom will never recover from this decline and become the Portugal of the North. Being Britons, you are more absorbed in assigning fault to the correct parties than addressing the issues which are destroying your country. The only thing that you will achieve in the future is voting out the Tories so Labour can instead manage your decline. Given a decade, the parties will reverse once more. You are so occupied with abstract ideas while the floor is rotting away under your feet. Brexit exemplified this as ideals of sovereignty and dreams of the Empire clouded your judgement. This lead to you antagonizing the continent while failing to rid yourselves of limitations imposed by the EU and without finding support in the US. Starting with the Black Wednesday, you have somehow managed to always choose the absolute worst option in any dilemma as a country. I expect that this trend will continue.

We're still here (Don't mistake my shitposting style on here as this been a reflection of meirl) there are many better and more British than me as well. We exist, we just keep quiet because The Empire still burns strong in us and we know that inaction, can be the best form of action. We learned it from Ghandi himself!
The British aren't ones to shout intentions from the rooftops, so it's understandable that you'll only hear from the riff-raff, who are the majority, unfortunately. Luckily they aren't British, just some second-class cheap import knock-offs. They'll be dealt with soon enough.

you have somehow managed to always choose the absolute worst option in any dilemma as a country.
Choose? We were never offered an option. There was no choice about any of it. Nobody offered us a choice on mass immigration. We marched in our millions to avoid the Iraq war, and still got sent. The idea that there’s a choice to cleanly vote for is simply untrue - it’s been presented to us as ‘this is good for you and it is going to happen.’ The issue the main parties offer ‘choice’ on are window dressing. Small things that don’t matter. The same people who carved the land up in 1066 still own half of it, and now they’re selling it to the globalist equivalents.
I’m trying to think of the last time we had a genuine choice on something important - brexit is the only thing I can think of in the few decades I’ve been allowed to vote
