https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679 (https://archive.ph/5Ba6o)

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

What brought this on? If it's the defecting Labour MP in Scotland bear in mind who she's married to, this is likely a move of convenience rather than ideology.
I don't know about the defecting Labour MP. Who is she? I just know Unite is the biggest Union by far and this will cause them to put in PR. I do agree this is convenience as they have to do this to win. If it was ideology it would have happened sooner.

Honk honk, all aboard the clown world express.
"of all genders" lmao

Reminds me of that Father Ted bit where he's praying and he says "You, the most merciful of all gods...", And Bishop Brennan interrupts "Of all god's, Crilley? What other gods are there??". And he meekly replies "uhhh...f-fake gods?".

Works for this gender nonsense too!

That was the one here. https://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/19670294.labour-councillor-defects-tories-stance-indyref2/

Finding it though gave me this which is so ticked off that it's practically screaming.

A LABOUR councillor in West Lothian has defected to the Conservatives. Angela Doran-Timson was elected as a Labour councillor representing the Broxburn, Uphall and Winchburgh ward in 2017. She has now decided that having looked upon the chaos, incompetence and corruption that characterises the Johnson regime in Westminster and the way in which they are traducing the devolution settlement in the teeth of opposition from the Scottish Parliament, without even bothering to pretend to obtain a democratic mandate from the people of Scotland to do so, these are the politics she wants to be associated with.

Following on from the news last week that former Glasgow Labour MP Tom Harris has accepted a job as an adviser to Alister Jack in the Scotland Office, it's more proof, as if any were required, that there's a revolving door between the Scottish Conservatives and their counterparts in the Labour party. Neither is interested in respecting the will of the people of Scotland, who voted decisively in May for a Scottish Parliament that will bring about another independence referendum. They are only interested in maintaining British rule in Scotland, whether or not that's what the people of Scotland want or regard as being in the interests of Scotland.

According to councillor Doran-Timson, the prospect of another independence referendum is the biggest threat to our country. So not Brexit, then; not being ripped out of the European Union, the customs union and the European single market against the will of the majority in Scotland; not the callous mishandling of the pandemic by a British Government which puts business interests before public health considerations. It's not the proliferation of dark money, that fuels the British political scene and the erosion of democracy by a Conservative government that is restricting the right to vote and abolishing the independence and neutrality of the Electoral Commission. It's not even the climate crisis and a British Government that still issues licences to fossil-fuel companies and authorises the development of new coal mines.

No, according to the latest recruit to the ranks of the Scottish Conservatives, the biggest threat that Scotland faces is the prospect that the people of Scotland exercise their democratic right to self-determination at the ballot box and decide for themselves what form of government is best suited to Scotland's needs. In other words, the Conservatives believe that the biggest threat to Scotland is democracy. "Some in the Labour group would even be happy to see indyref2," she said, as though the exercise of democracy in Scotland and the recognition of mandates given to the Scottish Parliament by the electorate of Scotland were a bad thing.
It's certainly the case that democracy is the biggest threat to the Scottish Conservatives – without being propped up by politicians elected thanks to votes outwith Scotland and an overwhelmingly Conservative British media, the Scottish Conservatives would remain a marginal and minority party forever on the sidelines of Scottish politics. However, the fact that their representatives resort to hyperbolic and hysterical claims that the exercise of the democratic process is the biggest threat that Scotland faces can only be based in their fear that they are likely to lose in the referendum and their lack of confidence in their own ability to present a compelling and persuasive case. After all, you don't describe a referendum as the greatest threat facing the country if you are certain that you're going to win it.

This latest defection to the Conservatives is not a sign of their strength, it's a sign of their weakness and of the insecurity of the British nationalist position in Scotland.

What is with the British media's obsession with Antisemitism? It's literally not even a prolific bigotry in the UK and isn't even prolific among Anti-Zionists or even the far right ffs. Yet you get these media retards and Labour Blairites on Twitter acting like the Labour left is in the verge of pogroms. That retard Oliver Kamm (lead writer for the Times) literally said just before that the Labour left want to cause a second holocaust of Jews because Young Labour put out a statement saying that Israel should give occupied Palestinians citizenship lol, another one Douglas Murray said that the left wanted to expropriate Jewish wealth because they want to raise taxes on the rich haha.

Someone manipulating the media to defend jews at al costs? Hmm I wonder (((who))) could be behind it

It acts as a pretty good bludgeon for the BBC to batter Labour with. Considering that Labour has a lot of progressives and Muslims (who both hate Israel), it's not hard for them to find examples of card-carrying Labour members and MPs saying off-colour things about Jews.
That way, when Labour does something the BBC doesn't like, they can wheel out those examples to hurt Labour's reputation. Granted, the way Labour is currently, they don't need any help with ruining their reputation, but still.

Labour really didn't help themselves with this because their response to being accused of "institutional anti-semitism" was to simply retort with "Well, ackchyually, the Tories are institutionally Islamophobic!" So now we have a divide where if you're right-wing in Britain, you whine a lot about anti-Jewish racism, and if you're left-wing in Britain you rant about anti-Muslim racism. And it's just another tribalistic divide. But very few people are actually making the point that the constant flinging of accusations that "the other side are the REAL racists!" is retarded and can continue in perpetuity.

The funny thing is, most of the "examples" even in the EHRC report, arguably, weren't even all that anti-Semitic. One of the major EHRC examples, the one they actually found Labour responsible for "making Jews feel unwelcome in the party" discrimination, is this

"However here they are again. We must remember that the Rothschilds are a powerful financial family (like the Medicis) and represent capitalism and big business – even if the Nazis DID use the activities of the Rothschilds in their anti semitic propaganda. We must not obscure the truth with the need to be tactful"

and

‘My major criticism of him – his failure to repel the fake accusations of antisemitism in the LP [Labour Party] – may not be repeated as the accusations may probably now magically disappear, now capitalism has got what it wanted’

Because mentioning the Rothschilds is a "Antisemitic trope" who also further pushing that Labour antisemitism are mostly fake (and they were, 80% or something came from 1 crazy ass guy), it makes it antisemitism because it "Makes Jews feel unwelcome"

I hate this stupid fucking trope that because something is a "Anti-Semitic trope" it's then, antisemitism. Jews are wealthy, it's a anti-Semitic trope, except British Jews are the wealthiest demographic in the UK so is it still anti-Semitic despite being a statement of truth? almost like context matters. What about Mossad exists, that's an anti-Semitic trope of "Jews conspiring" except, it's literal fact Mossad exists.

You think with a party that is very heavily reliant on Muslim vote, that far more flagrant Anti-Semitism could have been trudged up by the EHRC. I mean, just record any Muslim dinner party after you namedrop Israel ffs.

On top of this, what is annoying is there is nothing you can do here to defend yourself. Lets use BLM for example, if Black British were going on and on and on and on and on about massive police shootings in the UK and we needed to defund the police and you in Labour pointed out "The UK police actually don't shoot people often and UK police are massively underfunded in fact black leaders have been calling for more funding, this isn't a real issue and is an imported culture war point from US media", you would fall afoul of "making Blacks feel unwelcome", you're ignoring their concerns, and you just did a racist trope by claiming blacks are brainwashed by American media. Nothing you said was wrong though, oh well, discrimination.

What pisses me off about all of this, is that you literally had Israeli spies from the Embassy, caught on camera, working with Parliamentary associated groups, to take down both Tory and Labour MPs and when they got caught, they disappeared back to Israel and literally vanished with no trace showing they were very likely Mossad. That somehow wasn't major news in the UK. Tory has links to anti-Putin Oligarch funding tho? Totes Putin Puppet, Labour counciller once worked at as a cashier at a company that is owned by Tencent? CCP spy. Literal fucking Mossad agents caught on camera working with influential groups to take down British MPs *crickets*

Edit Just saw this "Labour Against Antisemitism" released their demands for Labour to combat Antisemitism.

How much of it has to do with British Jewish safety ..... nothing, how much of it has to do with banning Palestinian activism and criticism of Israel, 100%.
God how mask off do these people get?

labour have had a bunch of their Muslim MPs say actually antisemitic shit, like how the Israel Palestine conflict could be solved by resettling all Israelis into America, or Corbyn palling it up with Hezbollah and Hamas. Regardless of demands to deplatform Palestinian activism being a major rationale for this, it's fairly dishonest of you to act like these things haven't happened.

First isn't anti-Semitic and is a pretty common joke, since Israel is pretty much a US proxy state and it's pretty obvious that Zionist claims to the region are largely bunk bullshit and designed to stall time for them to completely take Palestine and push the Palestinians into Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Second isn't anti-Semitic, both are legitimately part of the peace process with Israel and Palestine and completely ignores that, most of these Zionist orgs crocodile tears over this, are ridiculously anti-Arab and Islamophobic., so why can't similar claims be made against the Zionist side? Also anyone who is familiar with the conflict, knows in reality, the Israeli Government is in fact, Pro-Hamas over Fatah. If we're also going to play the game "Oh this politician associated with these people" why no crying over Patel's close ties to RSS, an org that openly celebrate the holocaust and are involved in numerous anti-Semitic hate crimes?

Those cases also were not used by the EHRC, what was, was, what I posted. The data shows straight up, Labour had no major issue of Antisemitism, 0.3% of the membership had been under investigation for it and while the EHRC did find Labour in that instance guilty (because the councilor was a Labour staffer) overall, it found no systematic issue with racism or antisemitism in Labour.

This is a far cry from the "Second Holocaust" and "Threat to Jewish life" narrative pushed throughout British media.

On top of this, what makes this all so stupid, is Labour is doing this stuff to regain the trust of a Demographic that would never vote Labour purely for their class position anyway. Even when Labour had a Jewish leader, 80% of British Jews voted Tory and the rest mostly Lib Dems. You don't see Tories handwringing over Demo's they will never touch again (Muslims, Scotland) so it's bizarre that Labour is shitting over it's Muslim voters, and much of the left, to the point people are flocking to the Greens according to Yougov polling, for like 5 fucking votes.

Yeah, all those historical ties of jews to the Holy Land are clear fabrications. Jews have no claim whatsoever, they should all be forcibly deported. That is your thinking, isn't it?

You siding with organizations that engage in repeated offenses against their own people and indiscriminately attack civilian areas or use hospitals and schools as locations to fire rockets while calling them legitimate actors in the peace process truly speaks volumes.

Yes, Israel is so anti Fatah that their funding of the government and subsidizing of electrical and water utilities in the PA is really in support of Hamas. brilliant.

Yeah, all those historical ties of jews to the Holy Land are clear fabrications. Jews have no claim whatsoever, they should all be forcibly deported. That is your thinking, isn't it?

I'm actually more in the Canaanite persuasion of a single secular state for Palestine/Israel. But actually for the first one, yes, Jews have no actual legitimate legal claim to Israel. To actually stand by a claim, Do British then have claim to Germany over Anglo-Saxion heritage? Norway, Sweden, Denmark over Nordic heritage? Do Christians have claim to the Levant? Do Italians have claim to pretty much all of Europe, North Africa, and much of the Middle East? Lets bring it in tighter, something that happened in the past 200 years, do Aboriginals have rightful claim to all of Australia? Do Indiginous Americans have claim to all of the US? Do Maori have claim to all of NZ? hell lets bring it closer, how in hell do Diaspora Jews have claim to Israel, over the people that actually have lived there for thousands of years and are genetically the same people as the Ancient Jews?

Israel as a Jewish state, in legal argument is complete fucking nonsense and in every single way, Palestinians have by far the stronger claim. This is why Zionists dance around with bullshit ever goalpost shifting and vague arguments and then crying antisemitism, because they know any argument they make, the Palestinian argument is vastly stronger, on top of this, when in hell is the west pro-Ethnostate anyway?
You siding with organizations that engage in repeated offenses against their own people and indiscriminately attack civilian areas or use hospitals and schools as locations to fire rockets while calling them legitimate actors in the peace process truly speaks volumes.

Oh boy here come the Hasbara lines. Not even going to engage this hypocritical nonsense, don't feed Israeli Act.Il bullshit to me. Also Zionists crying about offenses against their own people. Zionism is openly pro-Antisemitism and Zionists time and time against engage in anti-Semitic fear mongering, supporting the Far-right and even historically hate crimes against Diaspora Jewish communities including bombings, so you can't really fucking fly that one.
Yes, Israel is so anti Fatah that their funding of the government and subsidizing of electrical and water utilities in the PA is really in support of Hamas. brilliant.
One, it's actual historical fact, Israel backed Hamas over the PLO/Fatah, second, Israel's actions, as it's pointed out time and time again, seem to always be specifically timed to give Hamas more legitimacy as the force that "counters Israeli aggression", since Zionism as an ideology, relies heavily on promoting Antisemitism as the great enemy to justify itself and Israel. A peaceful or more secular leaning Palestinian Government is absolutely not in the interest of Zionist goals or the end game of Israel, which again, is to push Palestinians into surrounding Arab countries.

In fact, look at exactly what you are doing, Israel engages in actions to keep Hamas in power, then you claim Hamas are not legitimate actors so no negotiation can happen, funny how this all works out in Israel's favour isn't it.

This is just like the Labour antisemitism thing. As the link I posted, why are the "demands" for tackling Antisemitism in Labour, all specifically designed to attack Pro-Palestinian activism and don't even really address the current leadership or Jewish safety? Because that is how the Zionist movement operates, it doesn't have actual arguments that it's willing to publically make (Because then the public would see Zionism is a fucking batshit, 19th and early 20th century colonialist ideology that is hilariously antisemitic all throughout, Kaufman alone fucking lol) so what Zionists have to do, is goalpost shift while tying to cancel culture the opposition out of existence, knowing, they will never, ever be held to any standards by the sympathetic Press and Political establishment.

Holy shit nigga, Jews were living there continuously or near-continuously since the days of Rome being just a collection of mud huts on top of a hill. The Seleucids couldn't kill them off, Hadrian couldn't do it, Mohammed and Saladin couldn't do it, and you say they have no claim? But to be more serious, the only claim anyone has ever had to that piece of beachfront property throughout the history of man is the will and ability to kill for it.

EDIT: For some actual news out of England and not just autistic slapfights:

Why does this give what are essentially a bunch of Ashkenazi with little to no actually modern historical ties to the region, a right to Israel, over the people who have actually lived there for thousands of years? The Palestinians are the Jews that stayed behind and then converted to other faiths to basically survive. Again, the claim to Israel as a Jewish state, that pushes the people who actually lived there for the past 1200 years out, is nonsense. Zionism again, is just a bunch of contradictory, vague justifications for what is essentially European colonialism (Most notable Zionist theorists weren't even religious, which makes Zionism even more bad faith over say, Canaanism which at least is based on a shared Hebrew/Canaanite culture and history, but that would include Palestinians, Lebanese, some Syrians and Jordanians, so can't have that) designed to buy time while Israel slowly eradicates Palestine and pushes the Palestinians out.

the only claim anyone has ever had to that piece of beachfront property throughout the history of man is the will and ability to kill for it.
I actually 100% agree with this, and I would respect Zionists more if they were just open about this like Russians are with Crimea "People there liked us and there was a military port there we need" . Instead they throw around stupid ass, blatantly contradictory arguments, then when anyone calls any of those arguments out for the bad faith nonsense they are, they cry Antisemitism and get that person cancelled through dogpiling and Lawfare. Look at how the UK has adopted the IHRA definition into law, despite it's own author saying it was simply a draft that was never, ever meant to be put out or adopted and is in fact, contradictory in parts. Since the adoption, Palestinian activism in the UK has been relentlessly under attack through lawfare.

Zionist activism is the most blatant example, of Idpol based cancel culture, and literally using bad faith lawfare, to enforce it, while having bipartisan establishment political and press support, making it far worse than stupid Wokie cancel culture. Yet, most of the political right especially in the UK have either no problem with it, or cheer it on.

Just for a bit of fun, let's poke some fun at the BBC:

Young Christian Climate Network activists arrived in the city on Saturday after walking 1,200 miles from Cornwall.

I thought this was wrong, so i Googled it. The distance from Cornwall to Glasgow is 590 miles. So unless this Christian mongs got lost, or went via every city in England, this is bullshit.

Some quotes to get the noggin thinking about how these people survive the day, let alone get air time.

Yaz Ashmawi, of XR Pilgrim, said: "Countries around the world are already suffering the consequences of our historic emissions in the west,
COP26 must end a growing crime against humanity by wealthy governments where the global south are sacrificed to bear the brunt of the global north's affluent, carbon-intensive lifestyles.
Those arriving in the city include Marcha Glasgow, a group of Spanish activists who took a ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth to embark on a 30-day hike to Glasgow.
They included Greta Thunberg who was mobbed as she arrived by train in Glasgow.

It makes you wonder how much Carbon would have been saved if these cunts just stayed at home.
