You aren't wrong, I popped into my local Subway bare in mind I live in the middle of nowhere. One black and 2 jeets... My town has like a 99% white population until the nearest city started importing them by the boat load. The contempt people have for these "people" is subterranean. The elderly don't even interact with them. Even the local business owners hate them.

Ten seconds later, I find out that azodicarbonamide is literally just a chemical used to bleach bread and that the big scare is that when baked it can cause female mice to have significantly higher chances of getting cancer. So just as expected "ingredient used in plastic" is correct, but in a complete misinformation way to make you assume that there's something disgusting and toxic in the bread.

So I'm guessing that the reason Subways smell isn't because of this chemical, but because they're staffed by fucking pakis.

It's not a curry smell. It's something with their bread for sure. It's in the same smell as when you buy cheap American style bread and it's like eating poundland marshmallows. It's overly sugary and sweet in a chemical way. Sort of like sugared bleach.

Believe it or not, they actually manufacture the bread smell, which is caused by heating the bread from frozen. They are then told by management to "cook" bread at increments, like at lunch time, etc.

Honestly, I was sorta miffed about it at first, but after a bit of a thought, know what? Good. Fuck them. No it’s not - like overly says, it’s a really reproducible and specific smell. If it’s manufactured and pumped out deliberately then I can only laugh in horror because it’s an absolutely disgusting smell. I know many supermarkets deliberately vent their bakeries out near the doors and front of the shop to draw people in. Baking bread does smell good. Whatever subway have smells revolting and I agree with @Overly Serious - I get it’s one of those things people taste/smell differently like coriander

Iranian woman slashed up behind the hotel, ft other front pages. She was working in the hotel at the time and her attacker had already committed violent acts, for which he was moved to another hotel. She leaves behind two children.

A woman found stabbed to death near an IPAS centre had been attacked by her alleged killer on several occasions in the weeks before she died, Extra.ie has learned.

The victim, Iranian mother of two Masuma Sohrabi, 31, was discovered near the Waterloo House International Protection Accommodation Services centre in Clifden, Co. Galway, yesterday morning.
She had suffered severe injuries to her neck and throat, and her remains were found in a wooded area. A man, also in his 30s, was discovered a short time later with injuries. He was arrested and can be held for questioning by gardaí for up to 24 hours.

Sources said he was ‘covered in blood’ and also had injuries to his own neck. He was known to Ms Sohrabi and had previously been staying in the same IPAS accommodation as her. However, he had been moved to another facility due to violent incidents involving the victim in recent months.
Gardaí stressed that the attack did not happen within the accommodation centre building.

Ms Sohrabi had been working at the Alcock and Browne Hotel in Clifden.

It is understood she had also been reported missing by staff at the IPAS centre. She had two young children who attended primary school in the area. The principal of Scoil Mhuire, Dara McAleer, issued a statement to the community yesterday, saying: ‘On behalf of Scoil Mhuire, Clifden, I want to acknowledge that this is an incredibly difficult time for our school community.

‘Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the deceased.
‘The wellbeing of our pupils is our absolute priority.

‘The National Educational Psychological Service are onsite with us today, and our staff are working to support every child in their care. We would ask that the privacy of the family and of our school community be respected at this time.’
Extra.ie understands that Ms Sohrabi was seen being assaulted by the arrested man the day before her body was discovered.

Security sources said she had been assaulted several times by the arrested man since she had arrived in Ireland. They explained: ‘The woman had come to Ireland from Iran in 2024 along with members of her family.

‘She was placed in accommodation as is protocol. But there were some serious incidents of violence that she was subjected to, so the person who attacked her was moved.’

They added: ‘She had been working in the Alcock and Browne Hotel while her application for asylum was being processed. But the man who had attacked her had kept following her and attacking her, which led her to go through the courts to get some protection from him.

‘The day before her body was found, she had been attacked by this same man in the streets. It was only that someone walking by saw what happened and separated the pair of them.

‘Her body was discovered away from the property and it was obvious she had been the victim of a very violent attack.’

In a statement yesterday, gardaí said they were investigating ‘all the circumstances of a fatal incident’ near Galway Road, Clifden. The statement read: ‘This morning, gardaí attended an emergency at residential premises. The body of an adult female (aged in her 30s) was discovered at a nearby location.

‘An adult male (aged in his 30s) was arrested and is currently receiving medical treatment. An Garda Síochána is not looking for any other person in relation to this incident at this time and is following a definite line of enquiry.

‘The scene has been preserved, and the body will be removed in due course the results of a postmortem will assist in determining the course of the ongoing investigation.’

Gardaí say they have carried out high-visibility patrols near all 42 primary schools in Co Carlow after a number of schools did not open in the county.

Gardaí said that a threatening email had been sent to 20 primary schools in the county, with up to 10 schools making the decision to close.

An image of a high-powered machine gun and two handguns was included in the email that was sent to the schools in question.

However, a reverse image search of the picture shows that it is a stock image widely available online.

The image of the machine gun and two handguns is included in a YouTube video first posted six years ago.

The same image is also the cover image of a song on Spotify that dates back to 2021.

It is understood that one line of inquiry that gardaí are following is that the email may have been sent to the schools by a group that deliberately sets out to create a large-scale policing response through the spread of false threats and disinformation.

This group has previously targeted other countries using the same methods and such threats have turned out to be a hoax.

Gardaí said the threatening email was believed to have been routed through another country and that the credibility of the message was still being investigated.

They have been in contact with the schools affected and are also in contact at a senior level with the Department of Education.

The principal of St Joseph's National School in Carlow town, Fergal Browne, said he believed the threat was a hoax, but that it was "very upsetting" for children and parents.

Mr Browne, who is also a local Fine Gael councillor, said that a "generic email" was sent from an unknown account threatening that there would be a shooting.

He said he decided to keep St Joseph's NS open after liaising with gardaí.

He said: "We want to reassure all parents and guardians. These things happen, unfortunately. It is very upsetting for school staff and parents. We are being extra vigilant today and are liaising with gardaí at all times."

A Department of Education spokesperson said: "The safety and wellbeing of children is the department's first priority and An Garda Síochána is in direct contact with the affected schools to assess the situation and provide support to them.

"The department will continue to work closely with An Garda Síochána and affected schools throughout the day."

Aine, a parents whose children go to school in Tullow, told RTÉ's Liveline that she had decided not to send them in as she had received a message from the school saying it was closed as a precaution.

She said the message came in at 9am, but some other children had already arrived at the school, and that there was a lot of confusion over what the threat was.

Another parent, Denise, said it caused mayhem in her house as she and her husband are self-employed, so they had to rework their childcare.

"It’s a bit of an inconvenience to say the least," she said.

She said: "You’re wondering, ok, this can’t be real, this is a hoax or it’s just there to cause fear and to cause chaos rather than an actual threat of something happening in the school itself."

She said it was strange - "why would somebody do this, like what’s their purpose behind it?"

No it isn’t, but some recipes need something like buttermilk, which is the same idea. When you make real chocolate you use milk fats, and when you make the hideous sick flavoured slop that is chemical chocolate flavoured product you use butyric acid as part of the process to stabilise the lipids in the milk. This is why Europeans think hersheys tastes like sick. Because it does, and it’s why we are incandescent with rage that Kraft and mondelez fucked up cadbury so much. They used to use milk and have some other way of stabilising bit now they use palm fat (gross) and stabilise with souring. It tastes far worse, you can taste the stale greasy peanut taste of the palm oil and then the sourness.
When I’m queen, the entire board and executive structure will be told to put the recipe back how of was and anyone objecting will face a vat of boiling palm oil.

@Heinrich Maneuver Wasn't a Nero, was it? I used to go to one in the nearest city to me pre-jeetification, the coffee was tolerable, I saw an all jeet staff, and went to the nearest Starbucks. One place I will say is shocking now is UK Tim Hortons, the quality used to be amazing, but I bought food not realising all jeets, and it was diabolical.

Good to see the Police are shitting themselves over this, they deserve it. Racist fucks!
