A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Years ago I found a video on bitchute of a guy who went undercover with a camera in gay bars and pretty much everyone there he spoke to had been abused as children and/or admitted to abusing children. He'd ask them whats the youngest partner they'd slept with and the responses were like "I don't wanna say or else I'd go to jail".

I had to use a VPN to watch as it was blocked in the UK for "hatespeech".
I found it...

It's pretty grim viewing so be advised. I'm going to archive locally as it wasn't easy to find the last time I looked for it:

The new Greggs chicken roll isn't actually that bad

AI should be used to put said roll in his pocket
Sit that Norman Rockwell ass down nigga, that thing is nasty! Also £1.55 for a sosig roll? They can fuck right off.
I had a sausage roll from a northern train station at Easter which had an actual pie stall in it. Was divine.
So why is the NHS pushing expensive drugs like Ozempic instead of something off-patent like cocaine. It's a racket, I tell you.
Well, coke fucks your heart up, almost every one who has done more than a few one off uses has issues.
You are also completely right about homosexuality.

Anyway, are we going to see Dogs at Polling Stations today, or has that been vetoed by our Islamic overlords?
Don't think dogs are allowed to vote mate. Even if they could I doubt they could use a pen properly.
Viral outbreaks on cruise ships are incredibly common and almost never anything serious. Imagine an entire village crammed into the same relatively small space eating almost exclusively from the same few little restaurants and all that lot. It is an incredibly population dense area, probably moreso than an actual apartment block, that you cannot leave and have to go to communal areas to do anything. Cruise ships get outbreaks all the time because those conditions are literally perfect to start one. But you never hear anything about it because nothing ever happens from it. It's like reporting on people getting a cold. This won't even be the only cruise ship at the current moment with a viral issue. Almost every single cruise ship will have at least someone with either norovirus or hantavirus.
There's always hope, until your last breath. After that it's not important.
Fucking speak for yourself. I'm haunting these cunts when I die. If I am not the whitest ghost going around calling whatever rerereformatives 3.0 pakis after I die then I'm not dying.

That shift from mere behaviour to inherent trait also stripped men of the ability to share non-sexual intimacy (even writing the sentence out sounds gay because of this), which led directly to the loneliness epidemic that men now labour under. Entire classes of previously normal male behaviour have been retroactively coded as "gay", to the point that just about every form of male bonding and any activity that involves male-exclusivity is framed as latently homosexual. We can't hug, or even touch one another, without some weirdo pervert reading it as gay and trying to force everyone involved to "come out".
The older I get, the more I start to see how many of these different heads of the hydra stem from one beast which is "how can we keep people divided and alone".

It's the underlying purpose of so very many things.

"The government wants everybody fighting with their neighbours, cos they know that if we all got along, we'd probably turn against them".

Football and the class system keep white Brits hating each other. Divide et vince and all that.

So the conflict is between us and never with The System

Will be fun watching the election results over the next few hours. Given the BBC is desperate to emphasize potential Green/Lib Dem gains pretty obvious the narrative is going to be finding any possible thread to distract from the scale of Reform's victory. Starmer's response tomorrow will be very entertaining to see:

Somehow, the most euro-ey platformer on earth has become a meme. "Moon Child".
It's got all the hallmarks too...
  • Overly-shiny graphics
  • Unsettling character designs
  • Mazelike levels
  • Unpleasant difficulty
  • Acid House soundtrack
  • Constant drug references
  • Weird grunting noise when you get hit

This goes out to my nigga Welshy. Hope you doing OK bro, I'm pouring out a tin of Brains Bitter for you, wherever you are.

Anyone else staying up to watch the results? Seems kinda pointless, but I might stay up to watch some results come in until 1-2am.

There's some good arguments between Labour and Tories on BBC, but not enough talking about immigration imo. Lots of talk about trivial shit like the 20mph speed limit in Wales.

People are not voting for Reform for any other reason than immigrants. I mean, they barely have any other policies, I don't have a clue what their policy is on the economy, healthcare, policing, etc.

I voted Reform not to put Reform in by any means, but to shift the Overton window as a whole on the immigration issue. At the moment, that sadly doesn't seem to be happening. I'm not seeing the Tories saying, "oh shit, yes we should be kicking out invaders".

It has shifted dramatically lol. The bbc is running coverage of immigration lawyers telling asylum claimants to pretend to be gay so they get approved. That would have been called some nazi conspiracy theory even 5 years ago.

I really don't know what to think about this. Initially I thought this was a wind up. Equal parts lunacy, hilarious and horrifying ?

The Greens are putting the mentally handicapped into politics.

I do wonder if I have completely lost the plot - are people seriously voting for them ? Is it just retards voting for retards ? I don't remember there being this percentage of people with obvious mental problems in society before. What the hell is going on ? Are people just taking the piss voting for them ?
