A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Huh, almost like creating massive disincentives to come and incentives to fuck off has a powerful effect. Just imagine if we applies this to BAMEs and their religions across the board.
 
All this talk about getting Muslims to leave the country, yet no one bringing up the one thing that would get overwhelming public support. Ban cousin marriage and make having sex with your cousin fall under existing incest laws. And no grandfathering in, any cousin marriage in the UK is no longer recognised and they get no protection.

Also how much money does the UK spend on caring for disabled inbreeds. You have extra costs for school, extra money for the NHS to keep them alive, benefits, then butch of other stuff. Lot of money to be saved.

Oh, me? Not so great. See, I recently discovered this site locrating.com, anyone heard of it?

Well, if you've not been astonished and/or horrified today, check it out!

Basically, it's a site that let's you check some statistics on schools in your area, or maybe an area you're planning on moving to. Some of the stats include stuff like ofsted rating, truancy rate, and some more interesting stuff like demographic breakdown and "English not first language" percentage of pupils.

How this site exists and isn't a national fucking scandal is kind of bewildering to me. I don't think I've kept it a secret that I'm moving to London. Well here's a fun game: put in any postcode within the M25 and find a school with more than 50% white British students.

I've been fucking horrified with this site. The nearest school to my new house has over 50% Indian students. That's not a joke. Over 50%. Why even live in England at this point??

I've found nearby schools with over 75% English not first language.

I wasn't planning on sending my son to a private school, because I literally just bought a second house and I'm a little over stretched right now, but what choice do I have? I guess I'll be selling my kidney to loansharks to send my son to a school where they don't give the assemblies in Urdu.

It also coincides with them handing out fewer and fewer grants for "asylum seekers" (which we know from UK precedent are just illegals with government acknowledgement for the most part).

It's 20 weeks. Though if you live in Scotland and find out at your 20 weeks scan that your baby is incompatible with life and you cannot face an induced abortion then you are packed off to London (I can't understand that, why not Newcastle? It's nearer) to have the abortion.

It's a fucking horrible thing to go through at an already traumatizing time in your life. BBC Radio Scotland covered it a few years back and the Scottish Government commissioned the WELTOP (Women's experience of later termination of pregnancy) report in 2013 which changed precisely nothing. You can have a surgical abortion in Scotland up to 18 weeks only and I would imagine it's to appease the more-likely-to-vote-SNP-Cafflicks.

Personally I couldn't have gone full term and i don't regret my choice. It was the less shitty of the two options. However the changes they propose are simply unconscionable to me and I can't stomach it.

You can tell Sweden's on the right track because within about a decade people have stopped saying "more countries should be like it" and instead just barely mention the place.

Put through legislation rendering cousin marriages null and void. Make them non-existent in the eyes of the law and make it a crime to enter into a false marriage or to have a child with your cousin, punishable by expulsion from the country.

There's some genies you can't put back in the bottle, at least without compensation of some kind — such as gun buybacks — but illegalising cousin marriage will be somewhat impotent. All marriages now illegal under the law will simply not recognised by the state anymore; they can still remain together in their abominable pairing and their marriage is still recognised by "Allah" or "under Islamic law" or something so it's like whatever. It's not like "gay marriage" was any different than "civil unions", they just got the name changed effectively, and if it's a sham marriage anyway in the eyes of God who cares what the gays themselves call it? It might cause issues when it comes to taxes and whatnot but for the devout sort what will they care?

Certain, implementable measures to get Muslims to leave the country that don't on undoing a big procedure like that and will require a change in behaviour are:
1. Banning "religious face coverings" (niqab/hijab)
2. Banning "non-religious slaughter" (halal)
3. Banning "circumcision for under-18s unless medically necessary" (stops them from being able to abide by religious law)

I think the young and more devout lot (I don't know why they have this trend but apparently younger Muslims are more zealous than their parents, probably trying to assert their identities as a minority) are more likely to go home to be able to abide by their religion than stay. The olds are more difficult though since one of the rights that gives some Muslims a permanent right to stay is if they can't get the medical treatment they receive here at home, which old Muslims who come over on temp visas to see their kids end up staying forever — you could change this for future visitors but applying it retroactively might be seen as too cruel.

If there's still too many of them here after that, we can pay them to leave like Sweden, renouncing their citizenship in the process and making it so they can't ever come back.

Would you guys pay one hundred and thirty-eight billion pounds (138000000000 ) to pay six million Muslims to leave the country forever? (23k if they leave)

If we had the sort of people in power that would be interested in making cousin marriage illegal as a way of getting browns to fuck of; we would just be able to deport them all.
