The British Museum has been evacuated after a stabbing, which witnesses claim took place in the queue.
The Metropolitan Police said a man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a man was stabbed at around 10am on Tuesday directly outside the museum, at the junction of Great Russell Street and Museum Street.
A man has been hospitalised in a major trauma centre with a stab wound to the arm, but his condition is not yet known.
The force said it was “an isolated incident and there is no outstanding risk to the public” and it is not being treated as terrorism-related, with a crime scene tent erected at the scene.
Eyewitnesses said they saw a middle-aged victim “dripping blood everywhere” and “screaming” after an attack in the queue along the busy street Great Russell Street outside the museum, while the attacker allegedly fled before being arrested on a nearby street.
I saw posts on social media saying there was some sort of argument between the victim and perpetrator who then whipped out what's describes as a machete. so probably just garden variety nigging rather than religion of peace.
Contrary to popular opinion we don't like queuing, we just recognize that it generally makes it quicker/easier to get to whatever we're waiting for compared to leaving it a free for all.
Is this the same level of stab wound that the Black Knight from The Holy Grail experiences? Because major trauma centre is somewhere you usually go for a 'wound'

lol. They're all isolated, these many isolated incidents that occur.

It's interesting wording. I wonder if the jouro is trying to imply it's big deal, when it might just be the nearest hospital.
For instance, if you whack yourself in the head with a nail gun there's a good chance you'll go to John Radcliffe hospital, which is a center for brain injuries. If a bus runs over your foot in north Oxford, there's also a good chance you'll go to John Radcliffe hospital, which is a center for brain injuries but can do other shit.
