At the mechanic, they probably encourage Wu to do all sorts of crazy crap. Every time Wu "fixes" something, the repair bill goes up an order of magnitude, so encouraging Wu is an investment.

Also heading into Afghanistan at that time has broad political support. I don’t recall anyone protesting it, certainly not a Trent Lott lackie.
 
There were some protests, nothing like for Iraq though. And the opposition was among the always anti-war people, and the fringe left. Then you had a tepid support that wanted a purely punitive mission with no nation-building. Overall support was definitely like 95+% or something absurd.

But there was no way John was in any of these groups while trying to work his way up in GOP politics at the time. He would have been locking arms with ANSWER and other literal communist front groups. Somebody like Ron Paul would do that, but not somebody in mainstream GOP politics post 9/11.

I'd also suggest that it's a bad idea to drive with out-of-date prescription lenses, but since you drive at night with no headlights, the old contacts are probably a tertiary concern.

It's pretty common in your 40s for your eyes to start degrading (as my opt put it...look your eyes are evolved to look across a savanna to a ripe old age of maybe 35...the rest is borrowed time) and your scrip is prob going to change every couple of years til they stabilize at bad (guess who determines that! the guy writing the...prescription)
it's why glasses prescriptions lapse...they are fucking out of date

Why would John recommend people find a mechanic to fix their car problems? I thought John was a mechanic extraordinaire, overclocking his transmission and wiping the CPU buffer on the air conditioning. Shouldn't he be telling people to fix it themselves? It's so easy!

Funny how there has never once been a picture of John actually working on any of his paypig's cars (or driving them, for that matter). It's either just before or just after the job in question, often with Frank's screaming mug plastered over it, and no indication of who did the work. It's almost like he's been lying about his skills the whole time, but he wouldn't do that, would he?

Also, some of the Amazon workers were EXTREMELY turned off by the idiotic union activists trying to turn the union drive into some weird racial justice thing. Amazon pays at least $15.10 for a job a illiterate mute with a middle school education could do. Amazon is cool with raising the minimum wage because THEY CAN AFFORD it and the competition can't. The workers in Alabama didn't want to risk the jobs leaving so some Union rep fatass can take $2/hr out of their $3/he union "pay raise" to donate money to insane leftist politicians and Union higher ups vacations.
