I could never imagine John as a parent, that would just be horrifying. He'd somehow be worse than both Jazz Jennings and DesmondIsAmazings natural mothers and that is really saying something.

Also like Jaimas said, John is too fucking self centered and selfish to sacrifice any time for consideration that a child needs.

Also, if a kid dies from neglect, you can't just stuff them down the memory hole and pretend they never existed...unlike dogs.

That was the first thing I thought of as well, it was in early July or late June, about a month after bitching about a gardening company took too long to send the pink hydrangea trees(commonly known as hortensias) he had ordered. Before and after that he was, of course, raging against Trump and demanded that people work from home.

The "very larger order" looks to have been slightly over $1000 or 1/3rd of a dust collecting VR PC.

John probably assumes they are safe from covid b/c he wouldn't consider them human (they aren't from Missippi so they don't offer up good lies for John to make up)

You know he would write a fake letter to himself to show bigots hating him too. "Look at this totally real letter I got in the mail guys." and there wouldn't be anything offensive like calling him a faggot or tranny. It would just say something like "Videogames aren't for strong and brave women".

Is it possible to confirm any of this? Hard to say, and I'm certain she'd rather not discuss the matter of an abusive relationship further. I'd certainly trust her account over Frank's, anyway. The armchair analysis is that Frank doesn't like when things aren't in his control (if you really want to go armchair psychiatrist, maybe it stems from being unable to save his sister from drowning), so he set up a relationship where he holds the reins alone. John would be absolutely helpless without Frank's money; he has zero skills or social abilities, and his notoriety would only go so far in landing him a job (that he'd probably lose). Frank knows better than anyone that he wears the pants in the relationship, and that there will never be any risk of John becoming independent.

Thus, Frank doesn't really care that John makes fun of him on Twitter constantly, portraying him as an ignorant buffoon that can't compare to his super awesome hacker biker gamer politician celebrity wife. He's probably happy to go along with it since it gives him perfect camouflage. Nobody would suspect goofy, affable Frank Wu of being a monster, after all. And if he ever gets tired of being married to a wendigo, he can easily claim an abusive relationship, pointing to hundreds of tweets of belligerent behavior towards him, along with just making up a bunch of shit that nobody will bother to check into. John's a 6'+ ape, I think it wouldn't be hard to fake some injuries and claim he did them.

But I doubt that would happen. Frank has his perfect relationship, and even though he's married to a complete parasite, he has complete control over John, and that's all that matters.

Since we're going armchair psychologist, I'd say it's probably something simpler. Frank probably wants someone who has to rely on him for everything so it's harder to leave him. If he sabotaged his ex wifes career he probably got paranoid and saw it as her being able to live on her own and not need him anymore. I would think its because he has low self esteem and doesn't see himself as being worth staying woth. It's pretty common in abusive relationships, spouses not allowing their wives to get jobs, of be independent. With brianna, if she left frank at any point she would actually be the poor homeless person she's always fantasized about.

This is why Frank wifed up Brianna - John has no actual accomplishments for the screaming chink midget to feel threatened by, unlike Frank's prior wives. Plus everything John did couldn't happen without his paypig funding it, so John's "accomplishments" really belong to Frank.

He's had two, but it's the second one that's the interesting one. She wanted to get into writing, which Frank intentionally discouraged, and when she refused to bend the knee to him on it, he got abusive and attempted to leverage his buddies in the sci-fi circuit to hedge her out. The big reason he did this appears to be that even in her writing infancy she was a better writer than him (most of Frank's Hugo Awards are for *art*, rather than writing), so in a particularly stereortypical male feminist fashion, he went out of his way to belittle her and undermine her. Years later, he was still trying to use his connections to keep her out for the high crime of running against him at one point.

Frank and Brianna are a lot alike, and nothing quite demonstrates it like their feelings on a fandom/genre being their personal property.

It's like Ryulong on Wikipedia, but for sci-fi writing. I suspect it's due to Frank's background.

All of Frank's Hugos are for best fan art. They've meaningless.

And his fiction sucks ass and is only published because he's pals with the editor of Analog. It's also meaningless.
