This is one of those posts that really sums things up pretty nicely, and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate it.
 
You know how we know that Wu was never serious in anything she's ever said about Lynch and why she was running against him? Now she's closed her campaign and is never going to run again she never even mentioned Robbie Goldstein, the other challenger in the district, and certainly never considered donating to him from her remaining campaign funds or calling him up to offer to hook him up with the handful of volunteers she'd managed to accrue.

Goldstein basically supports all the things Wu claimed to support, he's gay and he's a doctor so he ought to tick all the boxes. Basically he's Wu except not a total fraud. It's the least she could do to email her mailing list and say "hey, you were going to vote for me, vote for Robbie instead." But she didn't, because she wasn't in it for any ideological reason. It was pure ego gratification.

Bitch, you live in New York. You're not even in the same state as the people you're looking down on. You don't know what the 8th was thinking because you don't know the 8th, period. If the people there wanted Ms. Godzilla of Speedruns to represent them they had all the time in the world to make that known and they soundly made fart noises towards Wu's general direction.

Putting that stunning display of smugness aside, Wu was such a laughably bad canditade even for the low standards set by politicians. She's been larping as this important up-and-coming canidate for how long now? And the number of appearances she made on events in her own district barely reached double digits during all this time. 90% of the events she had to "fundraise" or "connect with voters" happened elsewhere, most on entirely different states altogether.

Defeating Lynch would be hard enough for someone who was serious about politics because he's a well liked incumbent, but for Wu it was freaking impossible.
 
SO BRAVE, agreeing with what everyone else has to say. But since he has long since suspended his campaign, why isn't Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist John W. Flynt out there on the streets supporting his colleagues to bring the TRUTH to the American people? Is he covering for police murdering nigs????

If anything John hates Goldstein and blames him for distracting attention from him. That and he's probably an anti-Semite too. I bet the moment he found out the guy was also in the race he started muttering darkly about dirty kikes.
