When John is in Congress he will time travel back to the end of February 2020 to stop Mayor de Blasio from being a fucking idiot.

John's complete lack of shame continues to surprise me. Possible powerlevel but myself and people I know that have zero desire to be any kind of politician at any level have been involved in setting up neighbourhood groups to get food and supplies to the elderly and working at a food banks to help them deal with the crisis since this whole thing started. Why is a 'canidate' for Congress spending all their time playing shitty vidya and tweeting instead of doing similar? Even if it's just for show and political brownie points you'd expect them to be doing it.

John has no intention of being a viable candidate. The moment he's worth the effort on Lynch's part to acknowledge him is the moment his monumental history of fuck ups and failures gets aired for all the world to see. John is simply larping and that's all he wants out of it. He gets some dosh on the side as well. Everyone plays along because it isn't worth going against the narrative.

Six years of Wu and this motherfucker is consistent.

Still begging for money for a project that will never come to fruition.
Still blowing that money on pointless geek trash that he'll grow tired of in a week.
Still latching on to the geek culture trend of the month for attention.
Still sliding into the twitter mentions of anyone he think can help him.
Still presenting as an expert of [current issue] and offering tone-dead hot takes that make people cringe.
Still totally missing the point of everything he comments on.

You could fall into a twenty year coma, open up the front page of reddit, and predict exactly what Wu would be tweeting about.

It's just sad that that's where John gets his fulfillment from, and it's perplexing that people are still enabling that.

The internet has allowed small time grifters of every race, religion, or creed reach an audience of millions. Fuckers like John would have remained inept failures and would quickly wear out their welcome within their local community. He'd be a black mark on his family name and a joke around his town if he'd been born even a decade earlier. It's the same phenomenon with perverts. There have always been furries, agps, etc, but they were isolated and surrounded by normal people. Connecting online has put them under the delusion that they aren't degenerate freaks.

True, and it's fascinating.

Not so long ago ago, even in a big city, John would have worn out his welcome with every group, subculture, and establishment. He'd be the old pervert cruising the outskirts for newcomers and the vulnerable, and unwelcome in most places. He'd be that guy that people would quietly warn you to steer clear of. (Actually, I have no doubt that's still happening in the political/tech circles that John targets).

But here we have social media, and "Brianna Wu" exists for the same reason that people are now tearing down 5G towers.

Just out of interest I looked up Bri's Patreon. They still give Wu a $400 a month.

106 people. Some, I guess, just don't notice it for whatever reason. Heavens know we all had some recurring payment that ate a dollar or five every now and then and realized it much later. But most of those people are the true fans, and we should point and laugh at them.

Last post? 2015, fake crying about FBI not providing snipers or some shit.

There is BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS, Mr. President! Massachusetts needs 1,000k ventilators NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW or BILLIONS will die!!!

This kind of shit does get me a bit mad at the internet. What Warren said is the kinda thing you would want and expect someone advocating for you to say. You can argue that it's unfair given the reality of the situation with what supplies the feds have and the fact that the government only ever moves at the speed of molasses, but someone advocating for you should do it zealously. John has to ratchet it up to ridiculous shrieking and shit flinging. He doesn't offer any sort of solution or non-retarded ideas to help the situation. Manufacturers in my state have begun manufacturing various essential PPE/healthcare products and are ramping up to a degree of self sufficiency. How come John never proposes ideas like that? One of the areas showing promise is 3D printing items that could actually be helpful and realistically done. John might be able to actually larp about helping through one of his fetishes and have it be true. Of course he did what he always does. He bought a product, made an ignorant and unrealistic tweet about being a godzilla in tech regarding it, and promptly put it in a corner to gather dust.

What you saw from John: "We're going to print masks on our tiny consumer machine (that may or may not actually have a bed large enough to accommodate)." (I never bothered to check)

What you didn't see from John: "Check out this pic of a stack of masks we printed at home to donate!"

As I recall John said they were going to investigate whether or not it was possible. He's learned enough to generally cover his bases with qualifiers after decades of embarrassing failures.
