It varies from place to place. In the South, it's "Well, bless her heart!" In an office setting, "All right, I'll take that under advisement." In certain parts of NYC, "Somebody take this faggot out back and beat him with a fuckin' hose."

I recall hearing the Minnesotan phrase in one particularly amusing context. I am going to spoiler this because it involves exposing the ending to the play A Streetcar Named Desire.

The Guthrie theater in Minneapolis put on an extremely ill-advised production of Tennessee Williams' famous play. For some unfathomable reason, the director chose to have Stan Kowalski portrayed as a sort of lovable Homer-Simpson-like goof. This made the eventual scene where he rapes Blanche Dubois a bit jarring. As I was watching, I wondered out loud if they were going to change the ending. No such thing.

As people walked out, I clearly heard one woman saying in the brightest of tones, "Well, that was different!"

Everybody else was pretty quiet.

After a long, long time I check in on how things are going with one of my first loony troons, Brianna. And I must say that it gives me great comfort to see that Frank hasn't lost his spastic scream face.

Yeah. Marrying a tranny, especially one as busted looking as John, is not good long game. Think about the maintenance. John's already falling apart. It just an endless money sink. For what he spent, he could have gone with a Russian mail order bride or a sail boat.

John knew all of the contractors and servicemembers who went missing in action in both the Gulf War and the GWoT. They were all gay, but had to stay in the closet because of DADT. He learned just this morning that they were being held in secret private prisons in Iraq and have all died of the coronavirus. Two of them were trans.

I love this "I'm suspending my in-person campaign events, boo-hoo, what a horrible burden" thing John's decided to run with. Normal campaigns have a dozen events in an average week, if not more. I don't think John's had a dozen actual events in a year. Normal campaigns have campaign events scheduled out for weeks if not months in advance. John's official campaign calendar is crickets.
