So John, without realizing it, is saying that all black people look alike and not even cameras and computer algorithms can tell them apart. You can take the tranny out of Mississippi, but you can't take Mississippi out of the tranny.

@King Dead , I didn't mean to dump on something any of my fellow Farmers enjoy or to come across as a literary snob. Most of the fiction I read is genre escapism -- mystery, science fiction, and fantasy. (I'm in the middle of the first Witcher book right now -- I give it a solid B so far.)

But there has been zero written in those genres during John's lifetime that even comes close to the quality of -- looking at Pulitzer fiction winners I've read -- A Confederacy of Dunces. The Goldfinch (I love me some Donna Tartt!), The Road, Ironweed, Lonesome Dove, The Shipping News, and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

TLDR: John is a knuckle-dragging buffoon.

To be fair, John didn't see the name, though - he only heard it, via an ambien haze, from the audiobook. He probably thought it was some exotic European name. John's not a very smart nor worldly-wise (wu)man, after all.

You're fucking correct, John, that he's not an ally. He's a gay man - he's in LGBT. More importantly, he's being pushed into being in LGB, because groups like Stonewall are pushing to be a purely gender-diversity group, rather than sexual diversity, which is what the whole point of the Stonewall riots is in the first place.

He's only not an ally if you're speaking for trans people, John, and to be able to do that you'd have to admit that you are. Something you'll never, ever do.

Edit: And just to add, John agrees with the guy against the Bernie supporters because they are on Reddit saying things like North Carolina's voters are 'uneducated'. No wonder Reddit is the worst place on the internet, John - now what do you think of the voters in Mississippi again?
