No, John's take on Starship Troopers is pretty much dead wrong. In the book, Heinlein clearly supports the idea of limiting the vote to military veterans. He also supports corporal and capital punishment.

IRL, Heinlein was a Libertarian and a militarist. For example, he was a vehement opponent of banning the testing of nuclear weapons.

If John has actually read any Heinlein -- doubtful -- he has completely misunderstood him. Someone should make a faithful-to-the-book film of Farnham's Freehold so we can watch John explain it away.

(For the record, I'm a huge Heinlein fan. This is a criticism of John's stupidity, not REH's politics.)

DC is about 45% black, Mississippi about 37%. They're not that damn different in this regard.

Of course, John grew up a rich white boy, so he probably didn't have to deal with black folk all that much.

John's vast exaggeration shows how he actually views black people, as some indistinguishable horde. He's so afraid of them he sees way more of them than there actually are.

Will John ever stop spewing out baldfaced lies to manufacture false credibility on every topic under the sun? A one-semester Senate internship with his racist hero Trent Lott does not mean that John "lived in DC for several years." Even Ambien addicts know the difference between three months and three -- or more -- years.

There's very obviously some silent agreement not to challenge John on his bullshit, though why that is I can't imagine (beyond protecting their own credibility after giving this obvious fraud so much cover over the years). I sometimes think they're just hoping he runs out of money and goes away, either by finally wiping out Frank's savings or getting kicked out of Frank's house.

I think John should be careful with all these Wu-things at the time when Wuhan originating coronavirus is perceived as a danger. Someone could think about other things starting with Wu like WuFlu.
