Ye, this is the same shit my dad gave me so I would stop fucking with his stuff. It's was pretty sucky (pardon), and it had a plastic tip that would melt. I wasn't skilled with soldering, so I constantly overheated my points and made the tip wrap. So, it was good enough and cheap enough to give to a pre-teen boy, it should be good enough for Wu.
