Idk if i’m missing something but all the articles reporting on this Trump “gaffe” are incorrectly reporting that Apple relies on Qualcomm and Intel for modems in their phones. It’s another case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Apple bought intel’s cell phone modem business for $1b this year and that includes the 5G technology they were developing. While Apple isn’t a carrier or building the network they now are in direct development for the modems going into the phones.

I think that pushes them into a different category as not being just a device manufacturer but one who is also developing 5G modems.

Im surprised but not surprised they got this wrong, Jesus.
