I know people who have made it their business to know Michelle Bachmann well, and they agree: She's not really an idiot. She's a very clever opportunist, and she does not believe her own bullshit for the most part.

John is nowhere near as smart or capable. On the other hand, his pettiness and hostility are genuine and much worse.

I’ve often wondered that about Michelle, thinking she’s just an opportunist. I feel she predicted the rise of the religious right and knew how to milk it.

I’m not sure how else you go from voting for Jimmy Carter to being the republican queen of the religious right.

If (this is a BIG IF) John won a congressional seat, it would be in his best interest to keep his head down, because - like you pointed out - he would become a huge target and then all his dirty laundry would be aired on a level that the Farms could only dream of. So he'd be within the grasp of achieving his dream of punishing everyone that ever irritated his dilation hole, but unable to pull the trigger without getting caught in the blast. Now I kind of want John to win just for him suffer a pyrrhic victory.

That, and to see him eventually get kicked out of Congress in embarrassment for taking bribes and kickbacks, because you know a greedy sloth like John can't resist free money.

But he wouldn't even live up to Michele Bachmann level success. Whatever loony bullshit Bachmann is associated with, she actually showed up and did political shit. Even people who wanted a corrupt Congressman to bribe wouldn't bother with John after the second or third time he took their money and then did literally fucking nothing. He's too lazy and stupid even to be effectively corrupt.

He'd be the first guy trolled by that Project Veritas idiot to end up criminally prosecuted himself instead of O'Queeffe sucking up the rap.

I think there's more to it than power, power is part of it, but what he really wants is to have things to lord over his friends/peers and act superior/elitist. A twink with a sugar chink isn't cutting it anymore, no one is in awe of his position. People are getting older and have careers so Wu needs to get one of those as well and Congressman seemed like it would be better than whatever it is other people, like Frank, do for a living.
Pretending to work and acting busy is his game now, he pretends to act his age, badly, probably because the people he wants to impress and get in with are both working and busy.

He might announce an early retirement in a 3-4 years, citing that he has worked so hard and so successfully that now at 45 he just wants to enjoy life. Then he points out that very, very few people are able to retire at 45 but he's not one of those that can't.
 
Frank "finishing" Revolution 60 really screwed things up and left nothing to do. It was the continued evolution of the same old art/concepts that John had tried to make into everything he could until he finally landed on video game and roped in some people to do the work. It could have just continued forever as the never finished world changing masterwork of the TransMolyneux. Something beautiful that GamerGate denied to the world like whatever Zoe Quinn might have created. Could randomly toss out screenshots of the models for years pretending someone was working on it.

Rather accordingly the Giant Spacekat website continues to exist as if the PC version of the game is still in development hell:

Oh yeah, there's plenty of "look at me now dad/mom/mothra" burning inside of him. But in his general social vicinity(which includes twitter) he can no longer buy a thing and brag about it being more expensive and better than the thing you have if what you have are children. People now buy toys for their kids, Wu continues to buy toys for himself and he wants to brag about them but the adults aren't interested anymore.

He still posts about his retro man-cave but he tries to dress it up as if it has cultural value like art and is a very grown up thing instead of the place where he jerks off to psylocke. Just two years back he did the "I'mma put a SF2 cabinet in my office, fuck yeah!" with no attempt to mask his childishness, he's changed the tone of that. Plus the fake Elizabeth Warren voice. John is now unconvincingly trying to give the impression that he's an adult in some capacity even though his life's work was centered around doodling and drooling over his ditzy 20 year old bimbos. I don't know how it can be possible but he is living a lie, again.

Delicious, John wants another invite to Young Turks. He’s not giving up access to that cow so easily.

This will cause John to hemorrhage followers as he’s too cowardly/greedy and unwilling to take a stand against Cenk since it will be counter to his narcissism.
 
Watch Cenk invite John back and say “as a trans woman you’re not upset by my comments” and then see John’s skin suit melt away.
