Even fringe candidates with weird proposals know where they're weak and that, for instance, they need a dodge for "and how are you going to pay for this?" John doesn't even have the proposals to know where the holes are. Nobody ever asks him anything but the most softball of questions and even with those, he's so fucking dumb he takes them as an attack if he can't even answer a total softball.

Yes, driving that is definitely only doing interviews that are favorable to him. The other issue is he’s not working with progressive policy wonks.

No one wants to work with him because they all know he’s a fraud and a joke candidate.

You don't really need to work with hardcore policy mavens to articulate a clear narrative of why you're running and who you're running for. Pretty much everyone who decides to stand for office already has that. Wu doesn't.

I'd really like someone to sit down for a two hour interview with Wu where they really drill down in to what she really believes and what she wants to accomplish. The glaring vacuum would be hilarious.

The consultant-led corpus of "I am/I will" statements that probably extend to several pages by now have never been about outlining what Wu stands for, because there's nothing to outline. It's just throwing everything out there in the hopes that one will fortuitously align with some spare money that Wu can spend on... more consultants.

I think incidents like the previous tranny slip is all we're going to get unless John does something seen as irredeemable by the journalist class; like get outed as a serial rapist. The tranny narrative is the party line right and now and it would take a lot for them to be willing to expose him for what he is. The candidates endorsed by The Dedham Horror didn't just lose -- they all lost in landslides.

John's candidate for mayor of Weymouth got 18 percent of the vote in a two-man race.

John's best performing candidate, Jimmy Periera, lost by almost 20 percentage points. The second-best performer lost by 35 percentage points.

The Wendigo is certainly in tune with the voters in his district. And think of all the friends he made among the winners by endorsing their opponents and falsely claiming to have worked for their campaigns.

Meanwhile, how many candidates did real politician Stephen Lynch endorse for local office in his district. I'm guessing none.
