It's not a matter of being woke. But unlike most other members of the LGBTA2BBQWOWXD, Brianna being trans is one of the least interesting things about her and not even close to being the main reason she has a thread, so most people don't give much of a shit about it. There's so many things you can say about Brianna Wu that her being trans just isn't important enough and almost never comes up unless the poster wants to poke fun at that or point out her past.
Brianna, for all her faults (and good God, there are so many), never once used the "I'm trans, feel bad for me and do what I say" card from what I know, even when it would have been advantageous to do so. Even when she says she's part of the LGBT community she says it's because she's bisexual, not trans.
For me personally, despite Brianna being an awful person she did transition (regardless if you think the result was good or not) and from that point onwards lived as a wendigo cosplaying as a wu-man female. I don't call Wu "he" because even if I wanted to poke fun at Bribri for petty reasons there's so many other things I could say instead. At the same time, I'm not gonna go around telling people to "use the correct pronouns" for Wu because this isn't Twitter or Tumblr and I frankly don't care enough what you call Wu as long as I can understand your post and be entertained.
