Who’s life was ruined? Pretty much everyone I see is still working in games and finding new work. Zoe’s had a book deal, a comic book, still working in indie games, scammed $85k on Kickstarter and still has a patreon.

Brianna Wu aka John Flynt released his garbage game and a remake. Still had a patreon, has scammed tens of thousands of dollars from people for a fake campaign, still is invited to give talks, softball interviews, etc.

Elizabeth sampat (friend of Alex Lifschitz and Zoe and tabletop Kickstarter scammer) has had two jobs in Europe gaming and now works for a subsidiary of Ubisoft as creative director.

Anita Sarkeesian is still scamming people left and right for money on poorly sourced and milketoast feminism. Now she’s starting up a consultancy company to put more gaming companies out of business.

Tanya DePass runs a 503c charity scam and routinely pulls in thousands of dollars via patreon, constant e-begging on twitter, etc on top of people randomly gifting her/him electronics such as a 4K tv, ps4 pro, pc hardware, streaming hardware etc. She continues to accept funds for travel to cons for panels.

I don’t know what Alex Lifschitz is up to but @Jaimas might. Last I heard he got out of video games but it was all his own doing. Who wants to hire a manchild who shits all over the gaming industry and had an autistic meltdown where he failed to break a GTA V disc in front of an audience?

Anyway, I could go on but those are some of the bigger idiots in gamergate who are all doing fine. No ones life was ruined.

Edit: lol at John saying he tries hard not to mention gamergate when he brings it up at least 2-3 times a week if not more. His campaign includes language such as “took on the alt-right (gamergate) and won”. If it wasn’t for gamergate he would have crawled back into his cavern after his game flopped. It was gamergate that kept him in the spotlight,

Cold callers are the fucking worst, but when the cold caller is Wu... Eugh. Lynch might take money from the insurance industry but at least he doesn't fucking waste people's time by phoning them up in the middle of the day to plead for 50 bucks to pay vanity staff members.

That footage of John trying to pass and getting run over by Hotwheels reminds me of one of John's greatest hits, when he went on David Pakman's show to try and peddle his "muh soggy knees victim narrative" and then accused him of a "Hit Piece" attack for the sin of asking for evidence of "death threats" from 8chan and gamergate.

A general "where are they now" audit will show that while several are still doing comparatively well, pretty much every mainstay Anti-GGer lost revenue and influence over the last 5 years, to a frankly hilarious degree - with Wu being the major exception. With the move to politics, Wu stepped up to the big leagues, and while she lost influence on some fronts, Wu's always been the mover and shaker amongst the Anti-GG sphere, the one who can actually get shit done (which is sort of hilarious, considering). Wu's always had more television appearances and doesn't care if she looks like an idiot.

To compare, Quinn and Sarkeesian both lost significant influence. Quinn has been on a permanent walking tour of various Social Justice pity-jobs, never really being expected to do much because she's an e-celeb for her side. Sarkeesian's youtube channel is fucking dead, and while you can count on the usual suspects trying to prop up her new consulting firm, the time has passed and anyone stupid enough to bring it on-board deserves what it gets (note that almost every game she has consulted on so far has gone on to be a critical and commercial failure).

The only people who give a shit about either is the Twitterati, and Quinn and Sarkeesian both burned a fuck of a lot of bridges in the process. Many of their former associates shit-talk them constantly and while none of them have the benefit of the protective ring of suck-ups they have, they've never really regained the influence they had at their zenith, where Sarkeesian was being hired on regularly by idiot game devs and Quinn had direct lines to Twitter trust and safety. Both tapered off hard after the UN CVAWG incident, and their grasping attempts to force themselves into relevance haven't been as successful as Wu's.

There's a beautiful irony in all this. Wu, the underdog of GG opposition and the one the fewest took seriously in the first place, the one banned from the cool kids club because she was too obvious, was the one that took the least damage from the Autistic shitstorm, and is the one doing the best right now. The biggest reason is that Wu, unlike her counterparts, had actual connections in the press that can push her narrative shit, and still has many of them.

You forgot the most amusing part of all.

Sarkeesian and Quinn at one point had actual power, the kind Wu would orgasm to if they still had anything downstairs.

They lost it and have never regained it, all they have is the ghost of their former reputations and a core of diehard fools, but the days of wielding power over anything significant are long over.

Wu on the other hand wants power, but as we've seen, is too incompetent, egotistical, and unable to exert actual effort (to the credit of Quinn and Sarkeesian, they for a brief interval seriously put actual effort in trying to gain power over more than just social media cliques) to accomplish anything, and we all have seen when he attempts to exert actual competence, the failure is hilarious. The only thing he actually put out as a finished product is a laughable bomb of a game, and while it's a safe bet Wu will never get any position of power because of their incompetence, we will forever be amused at their efforts to try anyway.

The major difference between John and the others is -- and always has been -- The Bank of Frank.

Unlike the others, John is toxically unemployable. The idea of him actually even showing up at work on time and hanging around for eight hours is unimaginable.

Without Frank's money and Frank's connections and Frank's involvement in planning and participating in the grifts, John would be on the street, competing for the penis with his fellow tranny hookers.
