Almost all the contributions are listed as from ActBlue, which I'm not sure is actually proper. One of them is from Adopt-a-highway, which is either a misclassified expense or, if it's a refund, it ought to be listed as an offset to expenditures, not a donation. So it's possible the actual deficit is even larger than listed.

I am always interested in Wu's take on technical issues in games. I'm a dummy when it comes to this stuff and reading her thoughts makes me feel so smart. She really does have at best a middle school level of understanding.
There is nothing in the clip(linked here) that indicates something wrong with the alpha channel.
As anyone who has used any image editor for 5 minutes knows, alpha channel deals with transparency and if you watch the messed up particles, they always have fully transparent parts.
The problem is almost certainly that the particles are set to change size(and other properties) based on the speed of the emitter. When the emitter freaks out and starts moving and rotating at impossible speeds, the particles just do what they are told. If Wu was filling out a bug report, it would be closed with the comment that the particle system is fine and had no bugs.

You're spot on, that was my thought as well.

I read the tweet as a joke first, a joke in the style of "there's your problem, air is getting in the carburetor" but Wu's game expertise is no laughing matter so of course he was serious, even got 7 likes out of it(maybe they thought it was a joke as well?).

Does she really think she knows what she's talking about? That'd be Dunning-Kruger taken to a pathological extreme, whereby you're just stringing together chains of words that are subject relevant, but that you don't really understand, convinced that the final combination actually means something.
