Casali and co. like their Wu bucks, but not enough to jeopardise being able to work with actual candidates come the election. I'm looking forward to her FEC report in a couple of weeks. It's going to be interesting if anyone was actually hired as a result of those job adverts for campaign manager and finance director.

Wu's pronouncements only ever make sense if you mentally substitute "when I'm in congress" with "when I'm maximum dictator for life." She never engages with politics on the level of actual policies she supports or opposes, or even on the level of aspiration. Politics to Wu is just a game of fantasy despot where she's entered the gameshark code for infinite money.

Maybe one day John will realize he's not running for Congress in some limousine liberal Cali district but in a working class Boston district and adjust his policies accordingly. All politics is local, duh.

She had a go at being the populist already with that thing about keeping more of MA's tax money in MA. She got thoroughly assblasted by everyone who read it because it wasn't a thing that could be done without basically dismantling the whole US federal system. There's whole levels to that beyond the simple ignorance. There's the arrogance of believing you could propose policy without even the slightest legal framework to base it on, then even further the two-facedness of proposing policy based purely on your need to get votes rather than any underlying principle.

She'd probably do it again too, if only she had any actual understanding of what her prospective constituents wanted.
 
I'm kind of surprised that John isn't Reeeeeeeeing over the forced GND vote. Why isn't he publicly commiserating and offering sympathy and support to Latina Jesus O-C? John has basically two modes of thought:

1) Batshit insane hot takes that are so embarrassing they lead to public ridicule or are flushed down the memory hole the moment someone (presumably Frank) points it out to him (Moon Rocks is a fine example).

2) Vague, sort of true but utterly vapid analyses that are so generic they could be part of an astrology column.

Oh, Russian cybercrime uses disinformation? It employs financial institutions? How scorchingly insightful! Much different from, say, Thai cybercrime, which uses scrupulous honesty and only works through sidewalk noodle vendors.
