I read that China just put into law that Chinese citizen abroad or working in foreign companies have a legal obligation to act as spies and send information back to the state/party. Given China's role in hacking and espionage any cooperation might be tricky or not trustworthy.

President Wu, sitting down with Russia and China.
Wu: We will dismantle our cyber weapons as an act of good faith and we hope you will do the same.
Russia: laugh
China: raugh

“Maybe if we’re nicer to the Chinese and Russia they won’t hack us, golly gee.” - an idiot named John Flynt aka Brianna Wu.

It makes no sense to follow the rule of law because our enemies certainly don’t. When you take them moral high road, you lose.

Who is on your staff, John? Where are the pics of you meeting with voters? Where is the fucking protest bus and the EPIC feminist op-ed? Same place as your cock: in the fucking blender.

Representative question:

Q: What’s it like to balance a mentally intensive job with a campaign?

A: It gives you a real sense of purpose. Bad campaigns are all about the candidate. Good campaigns are all about the issues you’re trying to address. When you’re fighting for things bigger than yourself, it puts it all into perspective.

OH COME ON.
I just get so frustrated by this shit time and time again. Would it have killed them to ask a few background questions first before they went in to this shit? It just seems to be assumed that Wu is not only a qualified and experienced software engineer, but that she's working as one now and that Giant Spacekat is a going concern despite all evidence to the contrary. How fucking hard is it to dig the tiny, tiny amount to discover that Wu is a unemployed tranny who LARPs running for congress to seem important? Anyone? Any fucking journalist at all.

You know the answer to this. After Wu lost his damn mind being asked some mid-level questions by David Pakman, he made it a point to make sure he doesn't do interviews unless he knows that he's only getting lobbed nothing but softballs. If they're going to do anything aside from propping up John's illusions of being a woman/tech giant/God Empress of the Universe, then he'll avoid that situation like the plague.

Or until their politically powerful friends call in a favor and all charges are dropped against the will of the police department that had plenty of evidence for the DA.

Does Wu think most PD's are in the business of making their DA look like a complete asshat as the case here? Yea right. In any normal situation with this much evidence the DA would happily prosecute even if 12 idiots in a room couldn't convict.

You would think that Crime Reporter John would know that the police don't charge anyone with anything. Charges are filed by the district attorney's office or by federal prosecutors. This is covered in Reporting 101. Yet John's dumbass followers continue to lap this crap up.

It's also something anyone with a basic knowledge of civics and government should know.

Reminder: Brianna Wu is allegedly a candidate for Congress.

Is there any chance that this cycle he will legit collect the required number of signatures, or will he have to hire a third party consultant to get them at the last minute?
