DEDHAM, Massachusetts — Candidate for U.S. Congress Brianna Wu condemned the 10% funding cuts for the Department of Education under President Trump’s proposed budget as another way to pay for the tax cuts for the wealthy.
“Yet again, Donald Trump is trying to put another burden on the backs of hard-working Americans,” said Wu. “First, he proposes over a trillion dollars in Medicare and Medicaid cuts. Now, he is trying to make it harder for Americans who pursue a higher education to do so without potentially going into bankruptcy. And it’s all to pay for his tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.”
The proposed Trump budget would cut $7.1 Billion from the 2019 allowance to the Department of Education. It would eliminate subsidized student debt, reduce the number if repayment plans for borrowers, and cancel the public service loan forgiveness program.
“Donald Trump is a president who clearly does not value education. The programs he wants to cut are lifelines for people who are trying to further their education and put themselves on a successful career path. Competition in the workplace is real, and an education is vital for success. America should be making it easier for people to get a college or trade education, not harder.”
Wu acknowledged that there have been bureaucratic issues with the public service loan forgiveness program but said cutting all together will only hurt the people who need it. “If there are problems with this program, the Department of Education should be looking into resolving those issues. This program is a critical component of college affordability for many Americans, and in my view, it still doesn’t go far enough.”
Wu added that when she is elected to Congress, one of her first priorities will be repealing the Trump tax cuts for the wealthy. “Investing in working Americans is what leads to a strong economy and a better future for all. We have seen that repeatedly throughout our history. Once the super-wealthy start paying their fair share in taxes, we can invest in working Americans again and do it without going into national debt. This nonsense of stealing from the middle class to give to the rich must stop.”

Probably because he said he had 20 years experience in farming and Wu lusts for expert answers, he loves to lord that expert knowledge of the most basic information over other people who might know much more but didn't hear it from an expert. That's also why he buys the "pro" version of everything even though the most basic version would be more than he requires or know how to use, having the pro version makes him a professional and an expert. His stated rationale for Rev60 using UDK was that it was the most expensive despite not being much more than a closed source modders toolkit, then he calls himself an Unreal Engine expert.
Frank could've saved maybe $45,000 if they went with Unity instead.

Well John, since I (unlike you) am able to use google, I'll say that it's something a real engineer or electronics hobbyist would have built themselves, but that you overpaid someone to build for you so you could carry on your "gamer gurrrrl" charade for a bit longer before it becomes another dust magnet. (It's a raspberry pi-based handheld in a gameboy shell... Parts and kits and how-tos are readily available... As are prebuilt units for about 2x the cost of the parts)

ETA: fuck I just remembered the 3d printer... AND HE STILL BOUGHT A PRE-FAB!

He might see them as a threat to his own made up credentials or just unknown peasants that speak when not spoken to, Wu's the expert on tech and software and fiercely elitist. If John Carmack or CliffyB corrected him and explained something then he might lap it up and ask for more.
Ironically, if Tim Sweeney or Corinne Yu did the same he would shoot them down because he doesn't know who they are.

That's how I see the mind of Wu working.
