Even if the Wus somehow tricked anyone with legit finance experience into working on this trainwreck, they'd probably quit once they had a chance to look at the account information and the state of the past filings.
I think it’s telling that he has to advertise campaign positions on indeed.com because he’s a pariah in MA state politics. They know he’s a fraud and the whisper campaign to avoid him is very strong.

The two people he’s hired so far are from NY.

I get Wu is trying to sound profound here, but this falls flat on its ass as a comparison.

While Roman engineering made it possible for the enemy to exploit it, it provided so many benefits to the Empire they would have been fools to destroy it. Besides, there is no practicable way to make roads only usable for one side only without making life harder on the intended users.

While it's true digitizing everything could make us more vulnerable, like roads, there is only so many ways to secure them without screwing over the intended users too.

If John can present a solution to this issue that doesn't screw over both sides equally and is reasonably effective/practical to implement, he might be onto to something, otherwise, this is pointless crap to bitch about because the risk is inherent in the existence of the infrastructure in question, you build it knowing it has bilateral uses.

It must be so fusstrating to Brianna that she can't shop around for quality campaign workers to boss around like she could with Thai doctors willing to run her cock through a paper shredder.

Frank, man, ever think about just hiring a maid for Brianna to be shitty to all day? It's what other men in your income bracket do for their horrible wives and you'll get a clean house (and probably decent home-cooked meals) for way less than the amount you're sinking into paying the hucksters in NY to Skype with Brianna.

John also misses the point the WESTERN half of the empire fell while the Eastern half was doing fine, because the Eastern half was using its roads to continue to expand the empire.

Basically Brianna's analogy boils down to "Rome could have hardened its internal security by not existing in the first place."

At this point I'm surprised Frank doesn't just hire a hit man to go all Alexander on his Gordian Knot of a goblin-bride. What the hell, Frank, Boston used to have a competent mob.

Ackchually, Rome fell because it was trying to assimilate too many barbarians too fast. Wanna campaign on that, John?

Wu got another love letter from the FEC.

Is there a prize for getting the most action required missives from them in one campaign cycle? Wu's got to be a contender for sure. It must irritate the living shit out of the actual humans that have to look at Wu's thrown together reports full of half lies knowing your agency has no real power to stop these fuckwits getting it wrong every single time.

Edit: Also, LOL. Wu is attempting to hire a finance director (archive) via random ads on the internet. I wonder if they found some sucker/con artist to act as campaign manager. I guess we'll have to wait until April to find out.
For those following along at home: remember when Frank had to re-file the July 2018 report? Twice?
Well, the first time he did it, he adjusted the "cash on hand" numbers to match what was in the next report (the Pre-Primary report). But then the FEC noticed there were errors so he had to re-file again, and he didn't propagate the new cash-on-hand numbers forward through to the following reports. Most likely, he should have filed revised versions of the Pre-Primary, October, and Year-End reports.

The reality is that Frank probably has no idea what the campaign's actual balance was at any point in time, because he likely mingled it with his own personal bank account which is a blizzard of moronic John expenditures.

and weren't some of the campaign expenditures essentialy moronic john one's anyway?

What is the worst the FEC can actually do to the Wus? Because if it isn't fine the ever loving fuck out of them or worse, it's hard to see why the Wus would even pay attention.

I'm guessing she read this article. It was pushed to the top of most news aggregators (human and bot) last week.

Not much other than fine, but it will certainly discourage anybody from working on the campaign. Most political folks, like anybody else, don't want the hassle of a poorly run organization. It's a running joke that Wu is campaigning for a 2020 congressional seat in winter '19 anyways, not even sure anybody she calls or reaches out to to work for her would do anything but laugh (or at least demand all payment up front).

I don't want to shit on your excellent joke/reference, but Rome was sacked because it wasn't assimilating them fast enough. Rome was allowing small numbers of displaced & famined-out tribes to immigrate to the empire to serve in the legions - the retirement benefits of which was definitely straining the empire. But the Visigoths were part of the displaced population and got tired of waiting and forced their way in.

This wouldn't have been an issue if Rome hadn't allowed these refugees to gather in large numbers on the border, and had responded to incursions in a sufficiently Roman way. (murder them all)

So you are anti affirmative action now John? Will you be making this an official campaign statement? Fucking idiot.

And also you wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars of his money.

You mean they left because they wanted to spend time taking care of their kids - something you can't understand because you're a cockless male idiot. Actually just kidding, you don't know anyone.

It's news to me that tech fields don't pay enough to afford day care. Like, I know it's expensive, but it's quit your $40k office manager job expensive, not quit your $100k tech job. If women in tech are leaving because of child care issues, it probably has more to do with not being able to balance 14-hour days at work with raising a child.

It really is that expensive up in Massachusetts. I know people there who've quit good tech and medical jobs rather than spend almost their entire paycheck on childcare. If you're not going to see any of that money, why not just spend the time with your kid?
