A more likely scenario than John becoming a full-on movement conservative is that the Republican Party absolutely craters itself and he tries to hop into the smoking wreckage as a founding member of "The NEW solutions-oriented Republican Party!" He can get his friends to commission some puff pieces in the media about the hip young (lol) tech-savvy up-and-comers turning the Republicans into a 21st-century party of Silicon Valley tech dudebros with hearts of gold. Frame it like an Ocasio-Cortez thing where they may be nominally party members but willing to rain down fire on their own leadership if they don't get their own goals met.

I don't see John making a huge ideological swing though, because one of his ground rules is that he won't associate with anyone willing to drop the F-bomb... that is, "Flynt".

One of the biggest obstacles would be that a Republican can't be cool on the internet and he will get called out on flashing the latest of his soon to be forgotten expensive toys on Twitter. Compare that to now when he's a strong pro working class Democrat, it allows him to campaign in his back-up Porsche and people just bite their tongue when he crows about his generations economic plight.
He will be called out on a lot of things and no longer be protected in the same way.

If everything gets mirrored and right wing becomes the new left wing, from society, media and government, then his Democratic ideals will be unceremoniously tossed on the dusty pile of VR headsets, game development ambitions and other random doodads.

Ideologically he could join any party, past or future, because he's only loyal to himself and his political stance is just a firm "but what does that do for me?"

A Republican primary opponent wouldn't give a shit and would drop it every few minutes, if John had the slightest chance of even getting attention. And nobody would care.

Theres actually nothing contradictory with her statements about Dissidia. The review was for Dissidia NT, a 3v3 arcade game recently ported to PS4. Dissidia, which Wu claims to have wanted to base R60's battle system on, is 1v1 PSP game from about 10 years ago. She claims to hate NT and like the original, but its clearly just an unsolicited statement thrown at someone to try and make it about her so who knows what she really feels.

Engineers build societies? Only in societies that believe in social engineering, I guess. There is so many wrong things with this statement that I can't even unpack it swiftly enough not to get boring before I finish.

Most of the societies were not build by engineers, you blabbering moron, not even by social engineers. And women always played a vital role in each and every human society as MOTHERS, because without MOTHERS and CHILD BEARING and REARING, there would be no fucking society to walk on any road or use any software.
