To give her the absolute benefit of the doubt, you might say this "3000 GT" she mentions was Frank's car, but really it's probably a fantasy like this whole incident.

In the case of John/Brianna, the vast majority of his followers on twitter don’t know he’s a lying narcissist who leaches off his husband’s stock options because they don’t care. He checks the right boxes off. I think mainly because, like I said in Jake Alley’s thread, SJWs don’t question narratives or people. If you say the right things you must be a good person and trustworthy, critical thinking goes out the door. This makes these idiots far more susceptible to being conned which you can see with John’s scampaign. On top of it, really shitty journos keep writing puff pieces in him which reinforces the lies he spreads. What surprise me is that others in his situation don’t receive 1/10th the coverage John receives and they’re not scammers or liars. That’s got to piss people off.

Also, I think in the case of John, people largely tune him out. He has few tweets that go “viral” and when they do they’re the same viral tweets you see from other idiots (drumpf bad, women good, sexism in tech) like a broken record. His signal to noise ratio is very low and his tweets don’t receive a lot of likes for the amount of followers he has.

That’s why I love the FEC documents because we get a glimpse into their finances. If any decent journalist decided to dig, not much digging required, into John’s story they’d see he doesn’t work in tech, brings in no salary, and they’re entirely living off Frank.

Well we all know from Warren how this will go.

John will talk over everyone smarter than him,
tell them how they’re wrong, how he’s smart and how he’d do things. He won’t offer to do any actual work but will tell others what they should do. Then the group will quietly distance themselves from John Flynt and talk shit about what a lazy narcissist he is to other progressive movements and warn them to stay away.

Basically a repeat of what happened with Zoe Quinn, Randi Harper, CON, Giant Spacekat, and the 2018 scampaign. John Flynt aka Brianna Wu is a shameless self promoter who only does things that will benefit his image hence why he’s tweeting to tell his followers about being on the phone with the group while they’re meeting.

Wu on Vespa? For those not knowing, Vespa is an Italian cult scooter very popular in many parts of Europe. Due its design it gets tricky to ride it if you're a tall person. You knees will bump its front. Can't really see Wu having fun with that mode of transportation.

Along the same thought - why would these people even be talking to Brianna Wu in the first place? He's a failed candidate who couldn't even muster up any meaningful grassroots support, he has no position of power or influence (despite his posturing), no credentials to suggest that he has any insight to offer on the issues, and he has no meaningful connections to any industry to help push their goals. He's just an unemployed idiot with a Twitter account. There's no reason at all to be including him in any discussion regarding climate change policy and having him there at all makes your organization seem like it's not serious.

The depth of John's knowledge of climate change and green energy is on par with that of his knowledge of being a woman, an engineer, or a gamedev. Which is to say, he's read the Green New Deal page of Ocasio Hyphen Cortez's website as well as numerous random tweets, and is now able to blurt out phrases -- righteously and melodramatically -- that he has absolutely no understanding of .

Of course, an actual engineer would have noticed that the Green New Deal sounds really great as a policy initiative but is lacking in the wheres and hows, as if it were modeled on the Underpants Gnomes model in South Park:

Phase 3: Utopia!!!

I mean, I would love nothing more than a completely "green" energy infrastructure in this country, but I'm not going to uncritically buy into some politician's statement of intent while knowing the harsh realities that underlie this massive and multifaceted problem. Especially when an energy policy initiative has language like "...be responsive to, and in accordance with, the goals and guidelines relating to social, economic, racial, regional and gender-based justice and equality."

It makes me question whether the electrical outlets in my house might not be a bit... ummmm, transphobic and misogynistic. I don't think they are, but I'll probably need to buy a Fair Trade Trans-friendly Multimeter that is calibrated in AAVE, with readouts that run from Ain't No Voltage Here Motherfucker to This'll Kill You Fam. And with an ohms scale that runs from Resist Misogyny to Resist Orange Man.

Yes, I know I'm sperging, but how can I not, knowing how oppressive electricity is, and how it disproportionately affects those with Apple products and Porches, and who sport a sans-a-dick? Sometimes it's a hard world for little things.

Maybe it's the part of me with some optimism left, but I try to give smaller groups and organizations the benefit of a doubt with at least the first meeting with Wu. After years of articles and sycophants pushing Brianna's bullshit, she has more positive coverage than the negative (which is more or less just us and maybe a couple of independent people). As we've seen with Warren's accounts, most people figure out quickly what a fraud Wu is after the first meeting. It's continued association and support after that when I get suspicious.

As @Norvic, yourself, and just about every regular has lamented in this topic - Brianna wouldn't be anywhere if these media outlets would do their job. It should be a story that this person who has essentially fabricated their entire life continues to lie their way into various positions of authority with absolutely no knowledge or skills in these fields. If you must have a feminist slant to it because that's the big social cause right now, then consider how many legitimate, female experts are likely never even approached by these groups because they haven't received even a fraction of the attention Brianna has unjustly received.

But we all know why Wu hasn't been buried and it's disgusting.
