I think he's just realized there's a substantial number of people who are just utterly fucking sick of hearing about DRUUUUUAAAAAUMPH 24/7 and will literally tune in to something where they won't have to listen to it. That market is saturated, and unfortunately, with raw material like Trump gives out every day, it is saturated with absolutely unfunny garbage.
Look, what's the point of entertainment if it doesn't push my specific political beliefs onto people?
Entertainment should be propaganda first and entertaining second!

"...know we just maxed out our credit card and mortgaged our house to get there." - fiscally responsible John

You spent god only knows how much on shitty Porches and technotoys and a vanity campaign, but yes, your mishandling of finances is entirely Trdrumpf's doing. Sure, you betcha. There are single mothers trying to keep it together out there, and you spend more on motorcycle leathers and accessories than they do on food for their family in a month. You elitist, out-of-touch, virtue-signaling, lurching golem prick. You need to work more on addressing your own privilege and your toxic masculinity. And hire someone to dress you properly, ferchrissake, because you dress the way a man with the 'tism thinks women dress.

"Feisty software engineer" is a euphemism for "snarling wannabe programmer", innit.

Edited to add: Waitaminnit. I thought you were renting? Where's the mortgage come into this?

Yes, she is renting and she uses this as a talking point with respect to unaffordable housing somehow being Lynch’s fault.

If she mortgages anything, it would be the house they lived in rent-free that belonged to a family member.

There’s no mortgage. There was six-figure spending on cars.

She doesn’t even bother hiding this well because she’s learned she doesn’t have to. She’s never been called out by anyone with power.

I agree with the folks who said that John should just start using Kiwi Farms as LinkedIn (I mean it's already match.com for sexual abusers so why not expand our portfolio). The only way that a 2020 run could garner any attention at all is if he explicitly turns it into a circus. A team of unemployed trannies and degenerates would be an Oscar-winning underdog story, though we'll cut out the ending where they all inevitably accuse the other of raping them.

By team of unemployed trannies and degenerates, are you talking about John's campaign or us?

Text Brianna what went wrong!

Well, we lost.

Normally, campaigns will send out a concession email written by a PR person immediately that doesn’t say anything of substance. I needed to take some time to reflect on the campaign and figure out what we did right and what we did wrong. This will be an overly honest letter for a politician. My phone number will also be included at the end, so you can text me your thoughts as well. So keep reading.

But, before I get to that, I want to thank everyone who donated and supported us. When you run for office, your biggest worry is, “What if no one believes in me?!” You all believed in me, and as a result, I will be a much stronger candidate for 2020 when I run for this position again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Why did we lose?

The number one issue is we didn’t have the team we needed. When I started this race, I thought I could hire passionate people who had never worked in politics before, and we could all learn as we went. This, by far, was the biggest mistake I made.

There’s a tiny pool of political talent in Massachusetts. By the time I realized I needed to hire them, it was too late and they were committed. For 2020, we will be hiring three positions ASAP. Campaign manager, Finance Director and Field Directors. All must have experience, and all must live in MA or be willing to relocate to MA. The second biggest mistake we made was not building a strong field operation. This is 100 percent my fault. As a software engineer, I feel most comfortable in analytics and data analysis. As a result, we excelled at online targeting and messaging, but did not build up enough local ground game. Again, this will change for 2020.

Those are the big two. But fortunately, they are fixable. I can learn how to run a phone bank, but Stephen Lynch can’t learn to be a Democrat.

What went right?

It took a while, but I think I did figure out a way to migrate my feisty software engineer personality to politics. I’m very proud that I never made a call I’m embarrassed about. I didn’t let this change who I am. I’m still a fighter, but I know which battles are worth fighting.

We also excelled at anything related to online. Compare my Twitter community with Lynch’s. My ads were stronger, and my presence in the press was stronger. These are successes we will build on for 2020.

A word has to be said about the local press. There’s no good way for a paper to become a cautionary tale in a journalism class, but that’s precisely what happened with the Boston Globe and the way they treated us. That said, I do believe we can reset our working relationship and make it more constructive for 2020.

Despite all of this, I’m excited about the future. Even people who don’t support me think we had a very strong showing for a first-time candidate. I will run again in 2020, Stronger. Smarter. And with the experience to win. I hope I’ll have your support then as well.

You supported me from the beginning, and I will not forget that. If you have thoughts about what we need to change for 2020, feel free to text me at 781-459-3131.

There’s no shame in losing a fight, but there is shame in not learning anything from it. I'm choosing to learn so we can win the next fight.

Thanks for believing in me,
Bri
somehow Brianna shifts blame to people who don't even exist, as in the team she never hired. It's their fault.

'Compare my twitter community to Lynch's' Holy shit. Maybe Lynch was busy meeting people on the street which Brianna acknowledges was the thing she lacked.

I'm not sure if it's because I also received this email (to a spam account) personally but it actually makes me mad how delusional it is. Brianna Wu is an embezzling liar who pretends to be smart and personable but is as corrupt and backstabbing as they come. Wu is literally the political boogyman he paints Lynch to be.

And 99% of your Twitter followers don't live in the district, you clown. This isn't a hard concept to grasp.

Christ, John is stupid.

I'm surprised he hasn't said that the election was stolen. "But look at all my Twitter followers! It's impossible to have that many followers -- and for me to not be elected -- without there being some sort of fraud going on."

Look in the mirror, John. You are that fraud.

where does she think the lists that the "field ops" walk and the phone bankers call come from? YOUR DATABASES! You don't run a successful field op without good data. There's a saying in campaigns -- "data is action". The problem is that these things take EFFORT. Something Wu is not about. She is not going to sit and make phone calls all day, even when she has a great list. She's lazy.

If you look at her FEC filings you can see she paid like 12K in the last month for some pre-baked data and analytics services -- they outsourced the part of her campaign she claims to be an expert on. What a joke.

And just no, she's not going to be hiring a Campaign Manager 2 years before the next race because she won't find any good candidates. Any good campaign manager that isn't working for a consulting firm just got made chief of staff for the newly minted winning politician.

No one besides us watched his ads, his press presence was stronger because he’s a piece of human garbage that was given preferential treatment due to his connections from being “muh harassment true and honest gamer girl.” Also, because this is the year of the “progressive challenger” and “#metoo” and women running for office. It had nothing to do with John Flynt aka Brianna Wu’s ideas. He’s not an interesting or charismatic person either.

This is just another example of a narcissist trying to rationalize his loss.

Sadly, though it is Syfy and they mention her involvement in Gamergate, they make no mention of her tragic recounting of her story on The Internet Ruined my Life.

Choice quotes:

"game developer Brianna Wu — who identifies as a queer woman"

There's that word "identifies" again.

"People have been saying they're sorry I lost. But, to be honest with you, I fully expected this from the beginning."

Just as we thought. You just forgot to add that you don't expect to win next time, either.

"I think that Donald Trump has unfortunately Gamergated the entire politics of America."

"Yeah, now that I think about it, this experience follows the plot to Mass Effect pretty well."

Wow.

They might as well be openly telegraphing to the reading audience that John is a tranny with that highly specific wording.

And why shouldn't they? No less than the Washington Post put their seal of approval on referring to Brianna this way.

From the SyFy Wire piece: "I want to write a Ph.D. thesis on Seven of Nine." I dunno, John. You've already failed at college, so going back would be a waste of valuable dollars that could be spent on sports cars instead. Unless you're thinking a Ph.D. thesis is just something people do as a hobby regardless whether they're in college or not. Which would be daft.

Then goes on to say: "...she was an experienced scientist, she was a good leader — and what did popular culture reduce her down to? It was the size of her boobs. The way I saw that character was as someone I aspired to be — like, that competent at science. I think I interpreted that show very differently than a lot of men did." Is he saying that he interpreted the show differently "than a lot of men" as himself a man at that time, or as a woman? It's ambiguous. It almost seems as if he's creeping up to coming out as as trans, and testing the waters by letting SyFy refer to him as "identifying as a queer woman".

It wouldn't surprise me if he just suddenly shifts gears and announces he's been trans all along, it was never a secret, and GooberGate attacked him out of transmisogyny.

It would make his life marginally more easy than continuing this laughable farce.

Rest in peace DCEU
