A successful political campaign, at least at the congressional level, is like an iceberg. The real heft and mass of the thing is mostly out of site. And the parts that are out of site are, in no real order:
the endless fundraising
the endless outreach to coalitions
the endless organizing in general -- events, fundraising dinners, CRM database building, networking, "pressing the flesh".
It never really ends. Usually after a loss like Wu's a serious candidate would take a two week break in Hawaii or some shit (because you just worked 60 hour weeks all summer) and then you'd do a post-mortem with your team (again, Wu has no team) and look at every single thing you did and evaluate it. But Wu didn't really do anything. She put in 1/10 or so of the work needed to win, so there's nothing to really learn or take away from this campaign.
tldr: Donors don't like losers, especially losers that don't put in the work. Wu didn't put in the work. Her name is dirt in Democratic circles.

What an uncharacteristically conservative point of view. Have sites control the content themselves without the feds stepping in to control who gets to say what. I actually agree with her in this case.
My question is, does this extend to platforms where she doesn't have toadies she can "backchannel" with to get her way? Like say, Facebook? Or Reddit? Or 8chan?
Or, say, an internet forum devoted to cataloging the antics and missteps of weird people on the internet?
All of those should be allowed to self-regulate and it's wrong to imply that the courts or the government should intervene, Ms. "I'll compel the FBI to go after Gamergate"?

if he moved back to Mississippi, he'd get more assistance, since there's way fewer people willing to run as Democrats--same as if he was a Republican in Massachusetts. but in Massachusetts, the Democrats can obviously choose the best candidates to focus on. and since all the congressional seats are very safe Dem, there's no reason for them to care about people challenging incumbents--the way better place for that is state rep/state senate seats in Republican areas like Worcester County.

Local Dem groups like me way more than they like Brianna. For obvious reasons, I've talked to them more and done more stuff for them.
The only edge Brianna has on me in terms of cred in this sort of thing is national media. If she goes after me, she will use national media.
Local media likes me, but national has been thus far out of reach.
So then I suddenly become some 15 minute national figure. Mostly negative but that's okay. Because local media will defend me. Which will then be picked up by a fewer number of national media, and there'll be a big messy media feud.
Probably entertaining all of you.
My right wing friend told me today I could be the new Alex Jones of the left.
Which might be cool. Although I'm obviously even stupider than Alex Jones.
Although, maybe that's what the world needs.
But actually I kind of like Brianna, if only for the drama she stirs among trolls. I should do Alex Jones style stuff to certain establishment jerks I met today instead...

It's not Brianna that's enraging; Brianna is a low-IQ grifter who constantly steps on her own dick (ironically enough) and who's got an essentially bottomless paycheck from her findom chink baby. What's infuriating is the media's persistent refusal to blow the stupid fuck away despite the fact they could pretty much do it in an afternoon with one or two articles.

After their whole "deal" blows up, there's about a week of wild shit, followed by a slow burn into obscurity. But Wu? Wu is the font eternal. She's a cow that lives forever with content that never dies.
She's never gonna have a big "holy fucking wow" moment, but she's a small trickle of salt that lasts forever.
