Considering how many openly trans candidates are out there right now, Brianna can't make a good argument about how being transgendered ruins his political aspirations. He also can't say something like "I just want to pretend like I'm a natural woman because the reality triggers me" as that won't hold much water. He's either going to try to say it's all rumors spread against him by the alt-right or he's just going to try strongarming the guy with a threat of a lolsuit.

I suspect she simply told him “I do not discuss my gender identity publicly. It is unethical of you to say that I am transgender.”

She won’t say directly that she isn’t trans. She’ll just imply it heavily like with every other lie.

While the article was good for a laugh, that was some pretty bad journalism. If you don’t have the person on record confirming they’re trans, don’t say it unlsss you’re prepared to provide readers evidence. This was clearly a mistake in the writer’s part, even though he was right about Brianna being trans.
 
I don’t think John/Brianna will receive half of what @W person cow is saying because his hatred of Stephen Lynch is blinding him. Brianna did shit all for campaigning, even less after Warren was fired. He has zero staff to phone bank of canvass for him and I think the only reason we have shots of him out canvassing was for the Kotaku article. If there’s no publicity in it for Brianna Wu he’s not going to waste precious time better spent playing video games and spending Frank’s money.

Rate me :optimistic: all you want, but I would love for Wu to try and pull that, in hopes that it goes all the way to trial and John's opponent brings up all the evidence that Bri-bri was born John Walker Flynt. His meltdown would be glorious.

Too bad for all the people that read it before the fix, John. They’ll never see the correction and they’ll know your dirty, mangled secret.

He’s going to definitely bitch about biased media when he loses tomorrow. Biased against a true and honest woman who somehow got way more positive press than either of the other candidates running when the campaign was a farce and had, at most times, no staff.

I think she thought she'd be hanging out with rich powerful important people who would be bowing down before her and throwing money at her. She had no idea that grass roots politics is about pretending to be working class and going to events in Elks Club lodges and library basements where everyone is old and grumpy and nobody has much money.

I would say now that she knows she won't try again, but I think she doesn't even know that's what running for office is about. If she does figure it out in the next 2 years, she won't run.

It's a symptom of both the media's devotion to politically correct kayfabe and John's massive delusions that this cover-up is being attempted at all. Outing Brianna Wu as transgender at this point is like "outing" Liberace as gay.

Putting myself in the position of an 8th Dem primary voter, I'd consider Lynch to be bordering on DINO territory at the very least, but probably still vote for him just because the other two are not credible and did virtually no campaigning. Voehl isn't obviously insane, but I don't honestly get where he's coming from.

So if I cast a protest vote against Lynch, it would be someone like Voehl or even writing in Warren himself even though he's not qualified.

I'd be amazed to see John break double digits.

Do you think Weigel just thought John was out about being trans because it's so screamingly obvious he never considered otherwise?

Weigel has a bit of a shitlord streak to him, but I doubt he would do this on purpose or rely on sources like ours.
