Your original point still stands though. John admits to having had contact with Chloe at least once, which means that he had at least some passing knowledge of Chloe's life difficulties. Even worse, John is a TRUE and HONEST STRAIGHT CIS WHITE WOMAN with significant amounts of REAL and SOCIAL CAPITAL. Yet, Chloe's pleas that his existence be recognised were ignored.

Ok that’s just fucking hilarious. And yet I kinda feel for a Wu on this one. Wu bears no responsibility for Chloe killing herself in that horrific way. Crazy is as Crazy does and Crazy will win in the end. But Wu’s grandstanding about Libel and defamation is pure classic Johny. He demands IMC must give a source, when Ian did. He was quoting the claims from the victim herself. Apparently Chloe in her deranged psychotic and paranoid state still blamed Wu for some imagined slight that led to their death. Which means yeah IMC is in fact covered Brianna.
 
From Twitter, here's something we apparently missed that the gamergate spergs dug up.

You remember those three campaign shorts Wu recorded and then kinda-sorta released? Apparently that was another case of her paying the runaway pen guy to film them.

I really figured Wu was actually using her own equipment this time since it was just her and Frank at a table talking. If that's the case, then Wu spent thousands and thousands of dollars at the beginning of her campaign for camera equipment that has, at best, been used to record 2 seconds of Wu saying "I'm Brianna Wu and I approve this message."

I wonder how Warren feels about being passed over for videography work?

And it's highly entertaining to watch John do a 180 on his usual position in cases where a man is connected -- no matter how tangentially or illogically -- to the death of a tranny.

Well first of all, its just not true that Brianna Wu drove a trans game developer to suicide in 2018. If you have any proof that Brianna Wu drove a trans game developer to suicide in 2018, you should stop posting here on the internet and go right to the police with it.

If Flynt/Would had actually attended his class in mass communications law, he would know that proving actual malice against a public figure -- like, say, a candidate for Congress -- is almost impossible.

Even if John had attended his communications law class, I doubt that Ole Miss focused much on the libel laws of Massachusetts, which are probably weighted heavily in favor of the press, or whatever state Ian resides in. And as filing a lawsuit would expose John to the discovery process, we know he'll never do it.

As for John's threat to invoke "the reportage law," there's one tiny problem -- there's no such thing. John just made it up. What he's talking about is known as qualified privilege, although he clearly doesn't understand that concept either
