I think John Flynt and others in the social justice cult have destroyed the national discourse thanks to twatter. Trump is basically a result of what they started several years ago.
Eh, I much prefer the Trump account. I check it often, can get a feeling for his direction and drives at the current moment. Trump, like what he's doing or not, is a very effective communicator and the most transparent president we've had in memory. Every executive order he signs he does on camera, holds it up to the camera so that the full text is broadcast to anybody tuning in. Which, again whether you're for or against his policies on things, is a huge leap forward in The People regaining trust and a feeling that their opinion matters. If the next guy is closer to your political views but has the much higher bar that Trump has set for transparency, and he meets that bar, you get a personal view in to check that your feelings are being represented; and if he doesn't, you know he's probably not actually serving your interests.
Transparency is EVERYTHING in a represenative democracy. The people are the ultimate check against government (via voting), and you can't check what you don't know.
Compare this to how Bribri uses twitter -- to post about Chaos Emeralds and how cool she is driving around in her Porsche dodgin moonrocks somewhere on the west coast trying to solicit $ for her east-coast campaign.
I guess what I'm saying is, the tools themselves are not evil or good ( the function of them at least, not counting selling your data or whatever), it's the people who use them. And if anything, it all goes back to transparency. Imagine if we didn't have twitter and Bribri didn't advertise how fucked up he is in the head, where would we be? What if the only narrative was the voice Brianna wants you to see? Maybe a future closer to John W. Flynt in office.....
