As far as I can tell from the Vox article, wasn't the only parts insulting transgender people was when she was calling Ann Coulter a man, compared to lots of anti-gay content. It seems like gay men were the most focused on, so why SHOULD trans people's voices overshadow them.

Also, she did attack apparently straight people like Tom Cruise and Oprah, criticising them for being gay.

Oh you know John would mention it nonstop for awhile every chance he got. My productivity is through the roof since i got my new work station with blah, blah upgrades. Just like he did with the peleton one bike, and well everything else.

It used to be a part of Wu's personal mythology that she was "brutally mugged" in DC and it left her in hospital, completely unable to function and that's how she learned empathy and to despise the Republican party. Of course now her personal mythology is that her parents dragged her back from DC and checked her in to rehab for prescription drug addiction, which I can't help but think is closer to the truth.
