This "proposal" would be 40 minutes of her trying to explain to bored, elderly men what a "Git" is and how it has to do with those electric boxes the kids like nowadays, followed by proposing that all of their dirty money and backroom deals be publicly aired with their permission.

They'll be telling her to 'git' off the House floor within the first 5 minutes.

I am completely convinced that this tweet only has gotten that much attention because most people don't have a clue what a version control system is and thought that "Git Repository" meant "a place for dim witted people".
Anyone got any clues as to what on earth could cause this kind of fuckup, it'd be interesting to me. Maybe the physiological problems are accompanied by some kind of mental impairment that explains Wu's odd behaviour.
A minor Stroke is the most common explanation for that sort of thing.

Ewwww, what is that bulge coming out of her arm? It's even in the preview thumbnail... I mean I've seen flabs, but that looks like one of those cartoon "inverse muscle" ( when dude flexes and instead of bicept going up it goes upside down ).

Beyond that, this isn't even a decent analogy. Cookies are a finite asset, it's not like there's only so much internets to go around... It's not a big truck afterall... It's a series of tubes.

I think that’s fat squeezing out the armhole of his dress.

Yo guys, I'm starting a primer for journalists about Wu's political campaign on the wiki. I want to keep it brief, just a couple of paragraphs on the most important points we'd like people to know about Wu, 'cos the threads and the wiki tend to be pretty sprawling and cover a lot of gossip and other stuff that's totally irrelevant to most people in the real world. My hope is that when it's done we can pin it to the top of the Wu article and all the Wu threads for the duration of her campaign in case people come by looking for info on the real Brianna Wu.

I listed the four points I think it's probably most important to cover. If anyone thinks there's anything else that needs to be added, or something that should be left out, then I'm all ears.

Edit: As requested by @Peace and Harmony I've created a new thread for this. New replies should go there, thanks!

This is an excellent idea and should be done.

I'd break up that first long paragraph for readability.

It might be nice to link each statement to a page summarizing the evidence for that point.

Outstanding notion. You're most of the way there, and well qualified to do the work. Press on.

Maybe include how she keeps talking like "Oh I'm so bad my campaign staff is going to hate me for this!" yet FEC documents show that Warren is the only staff she's paid (signature collector), and has spent several times that on potbelly sammiches.

That, to me, is a one-shot blow about how completely fantasy his campaign is.

EDIT: Also, I read the page.. probably would be best to embed tweets and other sources behind what are unsourced claims. Otherwise it just looks like "Baseless claim: I'm a software engineer!" vs "Baseless anti: Nuh uh!"

It's a fantastic start. My only criticism would be to remove the "lazy and incompetent" language from Point 3. You really want to shoot for a neutral tone so there isn't an excuse to write it off as Goobergate trollz, and that's a little too judgmental for what you're going for.

Not that John deserves this courtesy, but try to phrase everything as neutrally as possible. For example, instead of the last bullet point, I might suggest something along the lines of "The finances of the Brianna Wu for Congress campaign are currently in very poor health", citing the very low donation rates and the questionable accounting practices. And of course as @AprilRains said, try and find (neutral) sources to back up your claims. They don't need to be ironclad arguments, just enough to show that John is a fucking reprehensible liar.

I like the idea of linking to further reading that summarizes the evidence with links to sources. Something more concise than the wiki, but which does the leg work enough that even the laziest journalists might read it.

I think these four points from @Norvic are definitely the most important. They show that Brianna is a complete fraud without getting salacious. The facts are damning enough without the comedy and slurs.

Yep, I plan to include grandiose campaign claims in the "Wu is a fantasist" section and the silly campaign spending in the sham campaign section (well, maybe not the bit about the sandwiches, that's a bit too gossipy), thanks!

Yeah, I originally lead the section with the lazy and incompetent bit and demoted it because it sounded too much like an attack for me. Anyone got a suggestion for language that conveys the meaning that Wu does nothing but sit at home playing Nintendo Switch, while avoiding the stigma of goobergrape slander?

I don't know if you want to make it a separate point, but Brianna Wu's complete lack of any degree from a credentialed institution is something that needs to be highlighted. I know that's tough to suss out if you're trying to avoid the trans issues (which you seem to be doing, and wisely so, I think), but "ten years with no degree" is a big cornerstone of proving what a fraud this person is.

This one is tricky without exposing poor John W. Flynt, and in my opinion I think that it is best ignored. No one asks other representatives for proof of their degrees because they've actually done shit with their lives. What would be better and far less controversial is to state that John has never had any experience with the cybersecurity and in fact repeatedly demonstrates in public how ignorant he is on any matters dealing with technology at all.

It's a shame that it's such a thorny area. It's not in comparison to other politicians that I wish Brianna could be hit on the education thing; it's the way she constantly puffs up her own resume -- being a journalism student, studying computer science, all that. But I see your point.

Ten years with no degree but incessant claims of being a journalist, engineer, cryptology expert, etc.

If ever there comes a time when John actually comes out and says "I am Iron Man John Walker Flynt", then the flood gates are open (which is precisely why he doesn't). Unfortunately the current Overton Window considers revealing that John is a man in a wig and a cum-stained dress to be literal rape and murder, so until that happy day, we gotta be creative within the parameters we have.

EDIT: @Norvic maybe make a separate topic for this? This is kind of interesting and I'd be interested in helping if I could.

I think the best way to screw her over is to add all of her previous jobs and self proclaimed expertise to her wiki article (which is sadly locked down). Having the first paragraph read “Brianna Wu is an illustrator, investigative journalist, blogger, founder of Giant Spacekatgal, software engineer, cartoonist, race car driver, candidate for US Congress, speaker on tech, InfoSec expert and prolific Twitter user” makes her sound like a real life Mary Sue that would make most normies recognize her for the phony she is.
