So the ghoul claims to have gathered 1500 signatures in like a week. He used a company, tied it to a credit card, and then campaign donations will go to pay off Frank.

Can’t wait to see the FEC docs this week!

Other than this thread, is there anything enjoyable about Wu?

His ongoing physical decay resulting from a sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, approaching middle age, and third-rate cosmetic surgery is entertaining in a Grand Guignol kind of way.

So I guess Wu paid some guys to get her on the ballot. The other also-ran in this race also did that, apparently the going rate for 2000 signatures in MA is 7000 dollars and change. I don't get why the hell you'd astroturf a campaign like this. Surely if you can't get 2000 signatures, you're not going to get any votes. The signature collection drive is a part of the campaign. It's not just a formality, it's an opportunity to communicate your message to people and get them signed up to your various social media and other outreach venues.

Obviously she's not going to win, unless the Lynch campaign machine fucks up spectacularly. But there's losing and then there's losing. If she loses with < 1% of the vote, that's just another joke candidate nobody will ever need to give a shit about again. Losing with 20%+ of the vote, and Democratic party might be tempted to buy her off with some local government position just to avoid having to spend the money to contest a pointless primary every couple of years. I hope that doesn't happen, because nothing could be worse than Wu somehow worming her way in to a real job.

Wait, do we have any reliable indication that Brianna turned in 2000 legitimate signatures? His unsupported word doesn't count.

I personally believe the tweet was a blatant lie and she hasn't received those signatures yet. Especially considering she deleted that tweet within 30 minutes (though, it could have also been because she noticed how fucking awful she looked in both pictures that picture).

If they knew they could have just hired some guy for seven grand to do all the work for them they would have kicked Warren out the door faster than they kicked out Crash.
Either way, we'll find out in two days if any interesting campaign purchases have been made. Assuming Frank actually feels like filing them this time.

Eh, I don't see what she has to gain by lying about it. The truth will come out next month. As is the case with Christopher Voehl, it's obviously fairly trivial to hire a company to do this work if you've got a little cash, so it's a plausible thing to have happened.

As you say, the FEC report will be interesting. I'm guessing that Frank loaned the committee money this quarter to cover expenses, though we may not see any payment to a signature collection company because it's possible she only organised that this month.

Does whatever agency publish any info on signatures turned in? Will there be any public record of however many sigs Warren collected + the one from Frank?

No. You can get a copy of all the signatures if you have a legitimate interest and you could probably distinguish the ones collected by Wu and co. from the ones collected by astroturfers by date if you cared enough to do it.

The problem with the filing due on 15 April is that the period covered ends on March 31.

Frank has already stated that contributions for the first quarter suck ass. But he claims that contributions have soared since the quarter ended. And Flynt/Wu has chirped relentlessly about the sudden success of the signature campaign in the same period.

We won't learn if donations are up or if Frank hired a signature-harvesting company until the second quarter financials are filed -- or not -- on July 15. By that time the scampaign will have shifted into write-in-candidacy mode ("We need more money than ever before to win in November!") and everyone except us will have forgotten the avalanche of lies from the first few weeks of April.

This strategy fully displays the low level of animal cunning we expect from Frank and his thrift-shop drag queen of a wife.

Well, we can see from the "get Brianna on the ballot" page that she's raised at least 12K bucks so far this quarter, which makes it the best quarter she's had since the first one where she was featured in the New York Times. It's not much money by real campaign standards, but it's a lot for Brianna's scampaign.

I can't view that site on my tablet for some reason.

Does the site actually state that Flynt/Wu has raised at least $12,000 since April 1 (the start of the second quarter)? Where do they get their data?

I'm not sure I can believe that a scam that raised $40,000 in all of 2017 is now raking in $1,000 a day. Even if one is born every minute, there's still a finite number of suckers in the universe. Isn't there?

It's actblue, the payment processor Wu uses for donations. Data comes directly from their payment processing, and Wu has no influence over it so it can reasonably be trusted.

A lot of that was from a couple of big donations. Some people have money to burn and no common sense I guess.

This is easily the best description of Flu I think I've ever read. :achievement: to you sir

Thanks, @Norvic. I guess the birthrate for suckers has increased since Barnum's day.

And thanks for the kind words, @Pocket_Sand!. My irritation with the wider world's inability to see through Flynt/Wu's meretricious and egregious scams sometimes inspires me to devote more attention to Tranzilla than he probably deserves.
