It's things like this that make it really obvious his experience with technology is purely as a consumer, never a producer. He thinks a 10-year-old programming language is like a 10-year-old iPhone.

Scalzi is a major asshole and one of the prime movers behind the destruction of the SFWA by lowering the standards for membership so no-talent Social Justice Warriors with no legitimate publishing credentials could join, take over the organization, impose their Stalinist limits on free speech, and start awarding Nebula Awards based on the writers' politics, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity rather than any type storytelling skill or literary merit.

He is an execrable human being and a shitty writer of highly derivative pulp crap. The fact that he engages online with Flynt/Wu as if the transgender con man was a legitimate congressional candidate, a genuine engineer, and an actual woman who has suffered because of sexism indicates that Scalzi is either mildly retarded or will go to laughable extremes to maintain his bona fides as a really woke, self-loathing, straight white man.

Incredible. Maybe if you didn't know who Wu is, you might be inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt when she cries off a scheduled speech citing injury, but there's the proof. She's actively malingering.

I would kill to know what the dynamic is here. Clearly Frank is organising these things and Brianna is throwing tantrums and refusing to attend them. There's some fucked up shit going down in the Wu household. I hope it boils over in to drama we can all enjoy.

There's also the matter of the money. Warren doesn't strike me as a chap who is in a position to refuse cash when it's offered. Even if he does come to realise she's a scam artist, he might go on working for her anyway just for the sweet scam bucks.

I love this video because you can see him in the background just crushing wine, waiting for her to shut up for a second so he can ruin her. That could easily be one of those videos people jokingly put on Pornhub with a different title: "Naive young white girl wrecked by old man"
