Here’s the thing. Yes, Brianna hates herself and would give anything to have been born the sex that matches her gender. I’m not transphobic, and I will not begrudge her this. The story, like all of her stories, is made up in part so that she can talk about her trans identity without actually talking about it.

Admitting she is trans ruins the image she cultivates of a cool badass girl who was super popular and smart despite the bad grades. The girl who made fake IDs, orchestrated drinking weekends under the guise of church trips, and joy rode construction equipment. Basically the identity she formed for herself in her mind while watching 90s teen dramas when most people her age were well into college by then.

It’s pathetic. It’s sad. If she wasn’t such a narcissist, she would not still be living out that teenage fantasy today. But she looks in the mirror and while half her brain hates herself, the other half sees the Brianna character she created.

There’s another element here that goes with the self-aware part of Brianna’s brain. It’s the oppression quotient. By claiming she was born with female sex organs, Brianna gets to be a fierce warrior who overcame oppression. See also how she implies heavily that she grew up poor and without opportunities despite having a doctor father and a successful businesswoman mother who gave her hundreds of thousands of dollars for failedbhsiness ventures and who bought her condos to live in. She’s a spoiled snob and that comes through with everything, but she wants the cred that a struggle would give her.

So why not use the trans thing for that cred? Besides everything we have discussed? It opens her up to a lot of challenges. She lived as and benefited from the perks of being seen as a cis white make for THIRTY years. She’s the poster child for the spoiled boy who was given everything and worked for nothing. She was everything she now hates even though she still engages in these behaviors.

The trans struggle is a win for her but the whole thing is a net loss because she suddenly loses authority as a lifelong woman from the south.

Frank posted this video of Wu's speech last week. Still hasn't learned not to film vertically.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=64gg0rTRDLQ
Listen to the "HUGE APPLAUSE" she gets when she said she was a fighter. Also apparently she's still pushing the lie that people are stalking her, taking photos through her window and emailing them to her. What a fucking liar.

Everyone is stuck on how this video is full of lies, which it is, but I’m sitting here wondering how that dress isn’t in tatters yet. Every damn day. Imagine her bra, too. Since I doubt very few manufacturers make A cups with a size 64 band, she probably only owns one.

Here's the thing that bothers the shit out of me: Bribri is trans and therefore has to dilate.

Now imagine that nearly 7 foot tall beast laying down, legs splayed open, using a succession of larger dilators to keep the gash open while Frank looks on, mouth gaped open, furiously masturbating to it.

Personally, I think that's why Bribri refuses to admit the transgender thing.

She wants to be the cool girl who hangs out with the boys and does the cool boy things like ride motorcycles and drive sports cars and work in computers. Saying she did any of those things as a boy eliminates the coolness factor of them.

In my experience, people post transition tend to take on the trappings of their new gender identity quickly and strongly: suddenly obsessing over purses and fashion, or NASCAR and bad beer. It's annoying and reductive, but I understand that it's about being excited to test new boundaries and figuring out the lay of the land in their new identity. Wu is the opposite: she wants the body of a woman, but she resents anything she sees as feminine. She never posts about anything that she considers feminine. Even the political issues she chases after she reads as masculine: computers, space, defense. Nevermind that education and care-based careers and childcare for working families are much more important in the 8th district, which is mostly suburban and has many times more health care jobs than military or tech jobs. I think she thinks those issues are too weak and feminine. It's also annoying and reductive, and its misogynistic.

The tangled web of Wu. Once a myopic misogynist, always a myopic misogynist. Like you said, while it’s reductive, it’s important for trans people to try these new gender stereotypes that interest them, but in Brianna’s case, her terrible personality traits still shine and ruin everything.

She hates men because she never fit in with them and perceived cis males (hetero or otherwise) as having it easy. At the same time, she has never truly respected women, especially cis women. She thinks they’re dumb and she’s superior.

In Wu’s perfect world, everyone would either be a strong trans woman saying they’re cis, or their husband who worships them. In that world, she would be the queen to rule them all.

John has always tried to cast himself as some kind of leader of women. He sees himself as a strong alpha female who is desired by men and and admired by other women. Unfortunately, since John doesn't in any way think, behave, or even remotely look like a woman, the only buy-in he gets are from cucks and gross looking women with low self-esteem and very little sexual market value who like to hang out with gay dudes, but are in-fact too dumpy and repulsive to hang out with the fun gays like you see on TV. Any actual normal woman who is even modestly successful as a human being is going to immediately recognize John for what he is -- a crazy person -- and avoid him like the plague.

I've always loved how he thinks he can turn the 8th district, that consists mostly of suburbs with part of Boston, into some kind of Silicon Valley-esque tech capital.
He clearly wanted to get a major city, but could only get part of one and had to settle, but is going to go forward with his original plan anyways without changing it.

This was pointed out in another thread, but apparently the reality of Wu being trans is still controversial in the scene (if only among idiots).

If Wu can work other trans people into ignoring the ten thousand obvious signs, I'm guessing she thinks the average mark has no chance. As others have said here, her ego surely plays a massive role.

If you're citing lolcow as a "general" source, you're not a decent person... I've only ever known one person featured in such a thread that actually deserved it(one of my exes- I dumped him because he tried to kill me).

So if Wu was this person ex, they believe it, but otherwise they choose to believe we'd be lying.

I think that explains why so many people ignore the overwhelming evidence.

"Oh that website is full of nothing but lies ... unless it confirms my biases."

But why would someone who "takes morning drives on their Porsche" need to use Uber/Lyft?

Brianna wants the luxury of a private driver while being too cheap to hire one to drive her new Porsche for her.

She wants to be the cool girl who hangs out with the boys and does the cool boy things like ride motorcycles and drive sports cars and work in computers. Saying she did any of those things as a boy eliminates the coolness factor of them.

But they aren't testing new boundaries at all. They're conforming to the same sort of stereotypes that they bemoaned as their previous gender. It's hypocritical.

In Wu's case, she wants to have the power of a man without the man part.

To be fair, you've described half the Democratic party in Massachusetts, and they don't want to hang out with Wu either.

After the over throw of the Shah, two men flee Iran and are granted asylum in the US. They meet on the trip over, become friends, and are thoroughly blown away by how great the US is. As news reports of the violence and oppression of the new Iranian government come in, the men vow to leave behind their Iranian identities and to become purely American. The asylum program splits up the two friends, and they vow to keep in touch. As often happens, the letters became infrequent and then stopped.

One day, one of the men has to move for his job, and he's moving to the city where the other man lives. He writes him a letter, and they exchange phone numbers. He buys a house a few blocks from his friend, and they are both excited to meet each other and to see how they have done on becoming American.

The man pulls up the other one's house in his moving van, and they greet each other.

"Look at how well I've assimilated!" The man said. "That's my wife, Cindy. And those are my 3 kids John, Sarah, and Joe. I work for US Steel now, I'm on the company baseball team, we have season tickets to the local teams. John was quarterback on football team, Joe is starting pitcher, and Sarah competes in Western riding competitions! And you should see my new Chevrolet! Its been so great being American! What about you?"

"Fucking great, another sand nigger moving in and acting like he owns the place ." The other friend sighs.

This is astonishing. "A few nights ago, the Alt Right were outside my house taking pictures."

Oh really John? Was that the hacker known as Alt Right?

The speech is nothing but lies and self aggrandizement. Awful, but expected.
Interesting. Got the source to that post? And his house?
