This dumb bitch needs to stop talking about space. She knows less about space than she does game development.

I just got back from work and need to be up in less than 6 hours so I'll have to hold off on commenting for now, but TL;DR "anti satellite" technology is literally just big fucking missiles launched into space and exploded near satellites, knocking them out of orbit.

Nobody does this because everybody would do it back to you. Like nukes. Also, not as big of an issue since we moved to fiber for most everything, and the few remnants are either cheap TV, science, or military.

1988 called and it wants its hysteria back, John.
John is a Grade A Dilettante. Perfect example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. John is literally an expert in nothing.

My understanding is that Blue Apron is pretty hit-or-miss. I've seen a few people in my building use it, and when I ask them, thats generally the opinion I get. I could maybe see the appeal of Blue Apron if you are a hyper-busy single person who doesn't have time to do the prep for some of these things, but still, I imagine even then you soon figure out how easy it is to do it yourself much cheaper, with fresher ingredients and with comparative convenience, especially when most major cities now have same or next day grocery delivery from Amazon.

I've heard pretty much that. Even in a food desert, what's so hard about Googling a recipe and then getting some fresh food you chose yourself? I've heard everything from "it's okay" to sometimes ingredients come spoiled or slimy, like the "fresh" herbs. Also fuck Frank and his nasty ass scream face. Act like a goddamn adult, you're in your 50s.

Everyone who doesn’t like me is a bot. SkyNet has launched a vast Russian conspiracy in District 8. Please RT so someone thinks I’m newsworthy again.

What at all besides mental illness do Warren and Brianna have in common?

Interesting. Is Warren going to be true to his anti-establishment roots, is Brianna going to drag him with her into centrist Russophobia, or are they going to continue to remain pretty much completely unaware of the other's politics? Not that Bri really has any politics beyond I Am GamerGate Harassment Survivor

Here’s a thought. Why can’t Brianna, who claimed to have boots on the ground, registering voters for Obama and later Hillary, do the same for herself. It’s almost as if driving people to polling places was something she made up for attention on Twitter.

I’m not that surprised that Warren can’t see through his bong water and notice he’s supporting a fraud. He is nuts, himself. No sane person would work for this campaign. Brianna is only in it for herself, and that’s apparent even if you don’t know her history of calling things evil or stupid only to turn around and claim she’s always supported them. For example, Hillary, Bernie, most electronics she thinks Frank won’t buy her until he does.

It’s also obvious she doesn’t want to win. The perception of being a serious career woman gives her a high. Actually having a career is something that. Uh. I guess we don’t know. She’s 40 and has managed to avoid it so far.

Russia stopped developing satellite weapons in the 80's you say? So up to that point they WERE developing them. Hmm. I wonder.... since developing and deploying space-borne weapons is incredibly, ridiculously expensive, if there might have been reasons the Russians stopped developing space weapons other than the good of humanity? Maybe reasons that would become apparent due to geopolitical events that were about to unfold in a few years?

No, no, never mind. Obviously the commies were 100% peace-loving non-violent good people who would only have made long-thinking decisions with no motives other than good of people everywhere in mind. Most definitely these peace loving Russians had a long history of avoiding weapons build-ups, and their increasing interest in treaties towards the end of the USSR certainly didn't have anything to with their rapidly collapsing economy, since Russians didn't become evil until post-capitalism.

I think it's because he doesn't understand the concept of what winning actually means, seriously he doesn't "get" anything going on, so if the goal is unclear there's no realistic path towards achieving that goal. Instead he just imagines what the end result would be(filibustering, arcade cabinets, impeachment) just like a child daydreaming about being an astronaut and just like a child he has no grasp of what it all means but is content with his efforts and the fantasy play-land where the real battles are fought.

Oh, Wu definitely wants to win. Wu romanticizes the idea having political power and a public forum, and John desperately wants it to happen.

The issue isn't just incompetence - it's primarily laziness. Almost no effort is being taken to mount an effective run. Virtually no public appearances, no effort to recruit volunteers and collect signatures, no fundraising, etc. There's a playbook that an amateur can follow. With so much time after an early announcement, you can easily mount a color-by-the-numbers campaign, and, if it's well executed, win a respectable number of votes on election day. Hell, even an underfunded challenger running against a well-liked incumbent can win 20% of the vote on primary day if the fucking hustle.

Wu's just lazy, both physically and intellectually. Forget about going out and doing [real] fundraisers and collecting signatures - Wu will not even be bothered to even read a fucking book about running for office or seek out informed opinions from political pros on the basics of campaigning.

The gulf between the fantasy of getting elected to office and the amount of effort committed to achieve it is astounding to watch. I'm actually severely disappointed that Wu will never even make the ballot - I'm having a blast watching this, and I don't want the ride to end.

It's only going to happen if Frank opens his wallet yet again and lets a few more tens of thousands of cuck bucks flow and hires a professional. John is utterly incompetent to do this.

One thing you'll note is that NY went solid red, including eastern Long Island. Usually the state is solid blue except for chunks of upstate NY. In fact, part of basically every state that was historically loaded with blue territory saw either pockets of the electorate defect en masse to vote for Republicans or stay the fuck home. And since the DNC still refuses to learn the lessons of Howard Dean, they're not getting these back and not breaking ground in states they'd otherwise gain ground in.

NY didn't go solid red unless you ignore NYC. And because you can't ignore NYC, every single NY electoral vote went to Clinton. A similar process plays out in many swing states where it may look red geographically but it's meaningless unless you account for population. And that's why I don't think anyone is going to learn anything. Elections will continue to be determined by the dumbest of things and, while I don't think anything weird enough could happen to get Wu on the ballot (or in office if that somehow happened) I fully expect the same dysfunctional cycle to continue where the GOP will get a shellacking and everything will rotate. People like Wu will keep sperging and remain mostly irrelevant but at least we'll always have salt.

Agreed. But if it's a TV interview spot, he's all over that shit! But when it comes down to doing the groundwork and anything else related to this "campaign", he's not doing shit. I notice that Frank tweets all the stuff that a normal candidate should. Every political person I've seen is out there doing the things you should be doing to win an election. John doesn't do any of this, Frank does. Just like Frank managed all of the R60 crap when they hastily released it.

It's cuz John only cares about the attention and fame this kinda stuff brings. He never cared about animation, game development, feminism, writing, politics. He was fucking awful at all of it and that's because he used all of those as a way to get his name out there and make connections, which he succeeded at.

Why'd you think during Rev 60's development he spent more time doing PR, interviews, baiting trolls, and then complaining about the trolls he baited than actually making a game? Cuz he's a narcissist who wants to use whatever's trendy at the moment as a springboard to get fame and donations, and to be honest he's fucking amazing at it. He manages to get on TV, go to conferences, write guest articles on big websites, get shilled on game blogs, etc. despite having no skills in the field, being mentally unstable, and being indescribably unattractive.

Even if he doesn't get a single vote, if he can get articles written, featured on TV, etc. and exposure from the campaign, he's satisfied.

He should work in PR then. Hyping up talented people could become his talent.

We need to get a team together to get out there and collect signatures to put Frank on the ballot.

(on phone with election official): "What do you mean it's not a mistake?! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!"

"Not really, ma'am, just that you're the wife of Frank Wu, official Republican congressional candidate for MA District 8."

I'm not. You can only be disappointed if you actually expect something to happen in the first place. Wu getting a few thousand signatures to be on the ballot would require some actual effort in his vanity campaign.

I'm just hoping that he blames Gamergate when he drops out.

Not Russian related but something we haven't discussed - most are predicting that if the signature efforts continue as they are, Wu ain't getting on the ballot. Now, given that you can ostensibly buy signatures from professional firms and John does have $10,000 worth of basically unused video equipment collecting dust next to his doll collection, if he were serious about getting on the ballot, shouldn't he just sell off the camera, etc. and buy the signatures he needs?

She wants to be on the ballot. It gives another few months to sperg about "running for Congress" on Twitter. But she hates working so she'll just badger Frank to cough up the money for a company to do it. Either that or we'll see Frank out all hours of the night getting signatures in the final days.

I'm curious to see what happens after the primary. All the attention stops when you're officially out of the race after getting 3% of the vote. What does she do to not look like the unemployed lazy loser she is? Frank doesn't have $400k to pour into a game no on will buy. What career is Brianna Wu going to LARP as next?
